  1. Buffalo should really consider drafting a WR in the second or third round.  The talent in this draft is off the charts.  A second or third round receiver, imho is like a first rounder in most draft classes.  The Bills have their starting 3 but age is an issue and it would be refreshing to let a rookie develop without the need to feel like they have to rush.  In addition, there is always injuries.  It really is the best player available philosophy.

  2. It's all about Allen and continuing to add weapons for him.  They took a big step with adding Diggs, but there is more work that needs to be done on that side of the ball.  Tight End remains a question mark, as it has for the last decade and a half. The right tackle situation is a question mark.  The running back department behind Singletary is a question mark.  Most importantly Allen needs to take a step forward.  These questions need to be answered.  I have great faith in this front office, however I am not willing to say we are the team to beat in the AFC East just yet.

  3. I really don't think the tweet changes anything.  There was never a doubt that he was going to test the market, if the Bills didn't make him an offer or if they offered him lower than he thinks he will get paid.  He will go to the highest bidder.  If it is the Bills so be it, if not he is hardly a franchise player.  I do trust this front office.  There is a reason they didn't exercise the option and there is likely a sound reason they did not sign him before the start of free agency.  Don't forget he was inherited from the Rex era.  Let the process play out.

  4. I would rather take all the money we would give him or Phillips and try to lure Amari Cooper to Buffalo.  This team will never make a run with the current receiving corp.  No know on Brown, he has played above expectations, but all the pass rush in the world will not give Allen any more targets.  The talent on the offense has improved but is still well below playoff or championship caliber.

They significantly upgraded the WR position this year but it's not where it needs to be and I am sure Beane and McDermott know that. Plan options:

Plan A: If they can sign Amari Cooper (probably a long shot), do it.

Plan B: If AJ Green ends up having to take a 1 year prove it deal because of his age and injuries.

Regardless draft 1-2 WRs, it's a deep draft. Pick one in the 1st or 2nd round, one in the late round because it's a deep draft.

A WR corps of Brown, Beasley, Cooper/Green and a top draft pick that's a good group (plus Roberts for returns). Late round draft pick, McKenzie and Williams fight it out for WR6 spot.
