1. No way does this trade get made. Remember, the Eagles have Westbrook and a healthy Correl Buckhalter next year. That gives them two quality backs, and no need for them to get Henry.

Buckhalter will not be back with the Eagles in "05. Henry in combination with Westbrook would make an excellent duo. Give up that # 2 Andy Reid.

  2. Quincy Carter plus JP the bills will be in last place.

Drew Bledsoe gives the bills the best chance. Most of you are in deep denial.

Great teams take time to build. The buffalo bills are just one season away from a playoff berth.

    1. the offensive line needs tremendous help

    2. need a reliable TE

    3. need a #3 WR

    4. Secondary help

This will all be addressed this off season. The buffalo bills will win there first game of the 2005 season right down to the playoffs.

Speaking of DEEEP Denial! Hello! 0:)

  3. The 28-24 loss to the Jets was the home opener.

Did Jim Kelly start the 1986 season as Bills QB?  If so, that was his first game.  I didn't think he started the season that year.

1986: With the folding of the USFL the Bills are able to sign QB Jim Kelly, 3 years after initially drafting him. On his very first play Jim Kelly found life in the NFL was going to be rough as he was close lined by an offside Joe Klecko in a 28-24 loss to the New York Jets at Rich Stadium. However, Kelly would dust himself off and would have impressive season passing for 3,593 yards. However, the Bills struggles continued as they lost 7 of their first 9 games, before Coach Hank Bullough is fired, and replaced by Marv Levy. Under Levy the Bills on win 2 out of 7 games to finish with another poor 4-12 record.

  4. The game was October 5, 1986.  It was a 4:00 game at the Meadowlands (I remember it was the late game that day) and the Jets squeaked by the Bills, 14-13.  I think Kelly's first game was the week before against the Chiefs (Buffalo lost that game as well, 20-17).

Remember the Bills were 4-12 that year, but with six losses of less than 7 points.

Thank God for the Bills Media Guide.  0:)

Kelly's 1st game we lost to the at home Jets 28-24 I believe. Kelly had a superb game as I recall. They called him the "new Namath with Knees" in SI I remember.

  5. 1) Sack Bledsoe like cheap potatoes and get Losman ready with an intense offseason in Buffalo.

    2) Kick Rian Lindell's sorry a$$ outta Buffalo.

    3) Re-sign Tim Krumrie and Don Blackmon to the coaching staff.

    4) Re-sign Pat Williams.

    5) Restructure Eric Moulds.

    6) Extend Nate Clements.

    7) Re-sign Jonas Jennings if he agrees to a cap friendly deal.

    8) Sign a UFA TE like Bubba Franks or Itulu Mili.

    9) Sign a UFA Guard like Rick DeMulling, Joe Andruzzi, or Marco Rivera.

    10) Sign or draft a reliable 3rd WR (Dane Looker).

    11) Sign a UFA K (Todd Peterson) or draft a new Kicker (Hopefully Mike Nugent).

  6. The day that Modell made the midnight move to Baltimore was the wake up call for me!

    Long live Ralph!

    228949

Modell didn't make a midnight move, it was Robert Irsay who moved the Colts out of Baltimore to Indy with the Mayflower Moving Company.

The City of Cleveland screwed Modell and the Browns. The city had built a new area for the Cavs and a new Stadium for the Indians....meanhwhile the Browns were stuck in the old broken down sh*thole called Municipal Stadium.

The Cleveland city gov't screwed that whole situation up.

  7. I know we don't have a number 1 in the draft this year, but what about the rest of the draft?  How much did we give up for Losman?  Was it this tears number 1 and a number 2 from last year?  How did that work out, does anyone know?

    199522

    This year's #1 and last year's #2 and #5 if I remember correctly.

  9. What do I do with The Blesdoe Jersey

I'll never wear it again, so what will be The Bledsoe Jersey’s fate?

During the second annihilation at the hands of the Paytoilets this season, I threw The Blesdoe Jersey out the window into a hedge in a fit of rage and disgust.  The Blesdoe Jersey was subsequently adopted by a family of squirrels, who, as far as I know, have no opinion on the Bledsoe/Losman debate.

Lo and behold, the Bills start a play-off run, and I climb the oak tree and wrest it back from the squirrels, regaining possession of The Blesdoe Jersey, as well as a week of painful rabies shots.

I wear it with pride until last Sunday, where in a fit of rage and disgust, The Bledsoe Jersey ends up getting tossed out the window again, and is now buried under six inches of snow.

What will be The Bledsoe Jersey’s fate?

All depends on whether it's single ply or two ply.

  10. I'll show you.

    You said:

By excusing Volek's won/loss record, you say that "[we] had completely different scenarios this season in terms of talent and injuries."

So, you acknowledge that the scenarios are completely different and then go ahead and say that if Volek were starting for the Bills, we would definitely be in the playoffs.

    See?

    198280

No, I dont see. I am simply comparing quarterback (Bledsoe vs Volek) play...you know acccuracy, decsion making, pocket presence, etc.

The Bills went hard after Volek and after watching him play this season, I know why. The guy can play the position and I'd take him in a heartbeat over Bledsoe.

    Get it my point now?

  11. Volek?!

He can't beat the good teams.

Lost to San Diego (had decent stats though - still a loss)

So, 0-4 vs all "winning" teams (defined by me as a team that either made the playoffs or has a winning record).  Since everyone's criteria of a good QB is beating the good teams, Volek would not be considered a good quarterback.

Plus, the guy took *30* sacks in only 8 starts!  He's a freak'n statue out there!

The Titans O-line is not what it used to be. That's why McNair is so beat up and Volek took sacks. And the Titans D is now AWFUL!
