  1. I'm a lifelong Bills fan and even I admit the Pats are a tremendous operation. I love watching that team operate on offense. They get good players and good players want to play there. That is a great combination.

I am with ya here......I used to hate Brady....but ya gotta admire the guy.....he's a machine......(on and off the field) Haaaa

I enjoy beating the Pats.....but nowhere near as much as beating the Go# &^%$ Jets...whenever that happens again.....prob when Fitz retires...

  2. Sorry, but the Bills do have a QB, and that is Fitz. His meltdown came when every week he lost another WR and now has taxi squad WR;s to throw to. Plus Fred Jackson and Wood is on the IR, Chandler hurt too. If he had Fred, Chandler, Parrish and Wood back plus two new stud rookie WR's you see a different player.

RG3 will be a bust, I would bet my Bills bumper Sticker on it.

:thumbdown::thumbdown: .......Fitz lacks the arm and accuracy to make it in this league.....I am sure there are tons of WR's from the NCAA who can run routes and catch.........This is on the Fitzter bro....sorry to say.....watch the games again and pay attention to the easy routes that sail on him.......I like the guy and supported him but he is and will always be a career backup....I will bet my Bills bumper sticker on it...

  3. The answer is they both are good.......They are different types of RB's......To all the TBD'ers with "spiller" agendas then of course Fred is way better.....and Cj still can't "hit the hole"....

The correct answer is they both can play.....Both have talent.....I think we might pass on a RB in the draft this year!....WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  4. If the Pats have clinched #1 seed expect Ryan Mallett to start and for the Pats to rest most if not all of their starters. This game has no playoff implications so it's not like the NFL would have a problem. Even playing Pats backups I doubt we will win.

    PTR

Well lucky for the Pats....Mallett is 10x better than Fitzmagic....Guess we all found out Magic isn't real...Maybe we can give up a 1st rounder for Mallett after he torches the Bills?

  5. Fitzgerald 2008 - 12 TDs

    Fitzgerald 2009 - 13 TDs

Fitzgerald has 5 seasons with 90 or more catches, Stevie has none.

Didn't say they shouldn't retain Stevie, just that there are more than 10 WRs better than him in the league. Including Larry Fitzgerald by a long shot.

Can you match up Stevie's stats with a QB like Kurt Warner instead of the Amish pop gun? All of these dumb stats mean nothing.....Stevie is a #1 hands down.....anyone that wants to let him walk can enjoy the 3 wins the Bills get next year....COME ON MAN....The one guy who likes it in BUF and performs has "HATERS"....you guys make no sense...

Sorry .... I meant 16 thanks for the catch

So let's be clear....you'd tale Boldin, bowe,Colston? Over stevie based off the last two season?

Colston would be a terrible bill.....Slow and w/o a competent Qb would not be condusive.....Boldin would be an even swap I feel....He's not exactly lighting the world on fire in Flaccoland...

  6. Posts like these are one of the few worthwhile reasons to visit TBD to talk about football. Well said, OP, a much needed discussion to debunk the years of complaining. It will be interesting to see what happens if McKelvin signs elsewhere.

McKelvin will be great for his next team.....or will be good for us if we ever see the ghost known as "the pass rush" or his weird brother "the sack"

  7. Playing in the weakest division in football, mediocre teams can pull of 10+ wins. Just look at kansas city last year. My money is San Fran getting blown right away in the playoffs.

Don't get me wrong, the defense has played really well but I don't see the 49ers continuing this for multiple years. They are flawed offensively and the great teams in the NFC match up well to their defense because they are potent passing machines.

Disagree with ya here.....they have drafted a ton of good OL lately and their defense is lights out.....they would give the AFC east fits.....they look like a stronger version of the jets...

  8. First off, I do like Orton, he is still far better than Tebow. BUT, he is no more of a franchise QB than Fitz is, so no I don't want him as a Bill.

Guys, seriously, get over the Fitzpatrick of the last 8 games. I know losing sucks, but ignoring the fact that Fitz lost his best weapons (not that he had many to begin with), his center, and a defense that couldn't stop a pop warner team is just crazy. You saw how good Fitz was with a healthy team, he doesn't deserve the credit for the failure of this team. There are few if any other QB's that could succeed with the talent level left on this offense. Even though I do like him, a mediocre QB like Orton would fair no better. Besides, we just signed Fitz and it's not even in the realm of possibility that they pay for another QB. The only possible replacement for him would be through the draft.

I hope you are correct....I have seen enough fitz....he is way too inaccurate.......NFL backup all day....I hope I am wrong...Orton would definetly be an upgrade IMO...

  9. Current Order:

Team Current Record Remaining Opponents Strength of Schedule

    Indianapolis 1-13 Hou, @Jax .520

    St. Louis 2-12 @Pit, SF .477

    Minnesota 2-12 @Wash, Chi .516

    Cleveland 4-10 @Bal, Pit .492

    Tampa Bay 4-10 @Car, @Atl .496

    Jacksonville 4-10 @Tenn, Ind .520

    Washington 5-9 Min, @Phi .473

    Miami 5-9 @NE, NYJ .516

    Buffalo 5-9 Den, @NE .535

    Carolina 5-9 TB, @NO .555

I think Jacksonville will win their final game against the colts making them 5-11, Washington will beat the Vikings at home next week making them 6-10, and Carolina will beat TB at home this week to make their final record 6-10. I am hoping that Miami will lose one of their two remaining games, but I just don't see that happening. Of course, I see Buffalo losing their two remaining games.

This is how I see the final top 10 draft pick playing out...

    1. Indianapolis (Andrew Luck QB Stan.)

    2. St. Louis (Matt Kalil LT USC)

    3. Minnesota (Justin Blackmon WR OkSt)

    4. Cleveland (Trent Richardson RB Bama)

    5. Tampa Bay (Morris Clayborne CB LSU)

    6. Miami (Robert Griffin III QB Baylor)

    7. Jacksonville (Matt Barkley QB USC)

    8. Buffalo (Alshon Jeffery WR S.Car.)

    9. Washington (Michael Floyd WR ND)

    10. Carolina (Quentin Coples DE UNC)

I have us picking the best player available (IMO) at a position of need. A Miami win over the Jets or the Patsies could shake things up tremendously, and possibly give us a chance at one of the top 3 QB prospects (for those of you out there who want a QB). I guess we'll see how it all unfolds. What do you think

  10. So I am sitting here watching kc vs gb. I noticed Orton lookin pretty solid. His passing numbers at Denver were solid. I think I have overdosed on fitzmagic because it doesn't seem to work anymore. Denver's d was terrible last year and I think Orton would be a huge upgrade over the Amish interception pop gun.

  11. Marques Colston is not categorically better than Stevie Johnson. They are very similar receivers. Both of them are in the 2nd tier of good WRs behind the elite guys. Don't forget, in buffalo, Colston won't have Brees throwing to him and won't have pressure taken off by the likes of Jimmy Graham, Lance Moore, Devery Henderson, etc.

You claim the market is out there, but lots of these guys will be kept by their own teams. Not to mention that it takes time for a WR and a QB to get on the same page. How often do big FA WR acquisitions work out? Not much. This is a case where the devil you know is better than the one you don't.

You build around stevie by getting him a complementwry WR so you have multiple weapons. You don't create another hole on the team and remove talented players because you don't like that the guy tweets.

Some people have no clue.....Colston would be terrible as the #1 with buff.....If yall hate Stevie cuz of his "ways" I don't believe Desean Jackson will be your cup of tea......Resign Stevie, I for one am ready to hop off this terrible bills train.......Cant believe the niners got good before Buf...what a joke...

  12. I agree that we have to stop making holes. But I'm torn on the SJ re signing. At some point you have to balance what he brings positive against how he hurts the team on a semi regular basis. He's out and out cost us 2 games. He also makes drive killing drops. He's gotten flagged for excessive celebration 3 times. he celebrates first down catches in the last 2 minutes while the clock ticks away. Can we be sure this stuff is over? So, I'm not sure.

I guess we can get rid of Stevie and go 0-16? Those WR's will look super-solid with Brad Smith at #1 and David Nelson at #2 ? Complaining about the one talented player we have makes no sense.......

  13. I wonder if Stevie can HANDLE a big contract. Honestly, a lot of guys get big pay days then they stop playing with heart. He seems like that kind of player. He's not smart. When he's making $10m/year his production will fall. He's easily distracted. Look at how bad Fitzy has been since his contract, and he's a Harvard grad.

Although, I agree that the contracts you mentioned seem foolish. Especially Kelsay. But two wrongs don't make a right.

I hear ya wampus..... The guy is married and seems like an all around good guy.... He celebrates he tweets and he raps. .... On the field he's a worker ... I am all for paying the man.... If it turns into another "Fitz contract" that's kinda how the bills roll. We are all used to it. Haaaa

Celebrating tweeting and rapping seem to be his only negatives. With a few drops in big situations.

  14. Look the kid has above average ability, is extremely immature, unreliable and NOT a professional in any sense of the word. No way in hell I pay this kid. but again he has become some Buffalo fan cult hero because he is a feel good story and made some decent plays last year. So what? He is another #2 talent that buffalo is pushing out there as a #1 ( see Lee Evans) that everyone will make excuses for.

I just pray these guys don't pay him like they did lee or Fitz and tie even more money up in average players

Let's not tie up money in a guy who can play football.....let's just keep payin all the bums.... Kelsay Fitz pears maybe we can pay extra to get poz back ?? Worst post ever. COME ON MAN.

I'm just not a fan of the guy. One of the reasons I find it difficult to "like" this version of the Bills.

Would u like him if he was white ? If he liked billy Joel and Elton John more than rappin would it be different ? I dont understand what there is not to like. He plays hurt and loves being a bill. Brings a lil toughness to this soft team. I just don't get it

Choice #1 (with or without sj13) is colston at approx 10 per. Think he's a perfect fit.

Vincent Jackson could be an option (I'm torn on him) with his ties to nix. That history could go either way though.

If looking for a comp point - I think Bowe more athletically gifted and a little less motivated. I think he would be an option in regards to replacing that production.

I don't love desean Jackson. Size, attitude, head injuries.... The price doesn't match the risk. I don't think he's a guy you build around .

I guess what Im getting at is that the market is there, and that people forget how many talented guys are out there.

Colston is super slow.... If y'all don't care for Stevie Vincent Jackson is off the table. That guy i can live w/o I'll give ya bowe as better...replace Colston w Stevie in new Orleans = same stats.

  15. :wallbash:

:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash: Tasker better than Stevie at being a wr? shut it down....we have heard enough.....don beebe on this team by hisself? not the 4th option? no sir..... take your I hate Stevie agenda elsewhere.....

I like tasker, i like beebe.......but they would be turrible in this offense as a #1 or a #2 as most of you think...

Calvin and Andre Johnson's grow on trees people....everyteam should have one....huh...

  16. :wallbash:

Better than Johnson in the past 20 years. Since you stated Andre, I'll add Don Beebe, James Lofton, TO (as short as it was). Those guys were "better" than Johnson. Lofton BTW is in the HOF! Thats off the top of my head, heck Tasker could have been better. Stevie and Fitz are tight, I have heard nowhere but in your posts that Johnson is openly frustrated with Fitz because it is taking money out of his pocket. Post the link and I'll eat my shoe. As for his past due. Say What? He's a 7th rounder who probably krapped his pants when he found out he was even drafted! Are you his agent? it sure sounds like it!

Anyway, I'm done with this discussion, it was fun and I wish you a Merry Christmas, and would like to spar or agree with you on another topic.

I tried to make my position clear, re read if you must. I am on the same page with you on him. I just know he is not worth the money he wants based on his production. it's that simple.

  17. Your sooooooo right, just look at what happens when Fitz gets him the ball right to Stevies hands, he catches it 3 out of 4 times!

People need to wake up and watch games other then the Bills games, or pay attention to the WR's on the other teams we play. True #1 WR's make plays and catch even badly thrown balls. No QB in the league throws perfect passes all the time. The key to almost all good QB's is that they have WR's that can make plays out of passes that aren't perfect. Thats not to say that Fitz is not the problem, he has been horrible on alot of throws, but it doesn't help when he has WR's that drop balls that hit them in the hands, or guys that can't make a play on the ball unless its right to them.

Did ya miss the 4 drops by hakeem nicks yesterday? How about those packers WR's droppin balls left and right yesterday ? How about that Demaryius Thomas droppin tebow's bomb's left and right....Come on bro....your a good poster....but i got to admit I love me some Stevie....some of you on here no so much in the "stevie camp" homerville is I....haaa

  18. Stud? Monster? Hes not even ranked in the top 20 of the league.

Hes good. Got a lot of ability.

His immaturity is tough to take. And hurts the team at times.

I dont think the Bills should cut bait right now, but I wouldnt pay him like a top receiver, either. Not now.

put him on a team that has a qb and top 20 would be easy to attain.....invalid statement....immaturity = having fun on td's OOOOOOOOO.....god forbid the bills ever have fun...

You go out there and try to catch balls from Dr. Inaccuracy a.k.a. the amish pop gun IS the ball gonna be behind you? over your head? its like a juggs machine gone wild.......

  19. I feel like David Nelson would have came back to the ball to challenge the CB. This team needs more WRs like Nelson. How many passes to Nelson result in INTs? How many to SJ? I have lost count.

Thumbs down.... SJ is a monster if Fitz ever looks like an nfl qb again....thumbs down to all the Stevie and spiller doubters...

Stevie Johnson is NOT a winning player.

Million Dollar Body, One Dollar Head

And aint worth a nickel. Resigning him will be a collossal mistake. Worse than the Fitz debacle.

Ain't worth a nickel ? Tighten up w the comments. SJ is a stud.... Let's get a qb who can get him the ball.
