Mabin catches that ball in the end zone and everything could easily have been different. As a Taylor fan, but not a blind one, he is not now (and perhaps not ever) a guy I feel we can feel good about down more than a FG and needing a length of the field drive to win. Having said that, he had absolutely no help once Clay went down.
-
Can't take that sack at the end. Just can't. And I love the guy for his effort, grit, athleticism. But you just can't take that sack.
-
No problem with us drafting a guy a la KC, but Taylor is a competent pro and we are lucky to have him vs. a lot of the garbage that is out there.
-
What do you want? No Clay, no Matthews. We were in position to win, relax. Bad last series for sure. Tyrod haters going to have their turn and I guess today is it. He was not why we lost.
-
I watched Ducasse in preseason more than I care to ever again - will not forget when he got bowled right over the top of Taylor in about 1.5 seconds. Ugh!

Anybody but the Imploder. C'mon! ANYONE ELSE!
Worthy might need to rest his head a little - can't believe it is a performance sit down.
-
I trust the process - except when it comes to Vlad the Imploder.
NO NO NO NO - please help us. Poor Tyrod. Geez, NOOOOO!
Please start Groy, please, please, please. Or move Cordy to guard. JUST NOT VLAD!
Hell, put in Reggie McKenzie.

Like a mofo.
You know, all the Sammy missing Robert Woods would have been more affordable and he blocks well in run game. Would have liked to have him with Matthews and Zay! Plus he is crazy.
Any word on Cordy today? Game time decision? -
Too late. I have gone crazy.
What does this mean anyway, abstain from joy until we have absolute proof joy is justified? I hate this. Fan = fanatic. We have just cause for fandemonium right now. If it sucks later, so be it. It is sad to just wait for the other shoe to inevitably drop. Let's go crazy!

Reilly, Philly or Powell all likely. Don't know much about Dupre.
With this admin I feel like a trade is always a question of "relative value." If they could get the wide receiver equivalent of EJ Gaines for a pick I could see them doing it (a young, good character talent who they would want now and in the future - not a rental). But it likely would not be a player with a current high profile.

How fun. Win this week, important road test vs conference opponent. This is the kind of game we should win if we want to be highly ranked. And if we do . . . welcome bye week!

Crud, couldn't copy in my toast picture.

Tyrod is playing well and improving. He is doing what he is being asked to do. No doubt there will be games where he will be asked to do more if we get behind. Hoping he can deliver. When ahead or tight, we are a defense-first ball club for which he is a perfect fit. Moves the chains with feet and arm, and does not turn the ball over.

Our family knows Milano's family. He is a great kid and an absolute student of the game. Completely dedicated. He won't make the same mistakes. And he can fly, should be great in coverage and running sideline-to-sideline. The problem is that while he runs like a safety, he is also about the size of a large safety at 225 listed. I have been watching him closely given the connection (which also makes him my fave), and i think he could be really good, but right now he seems to lack the power to get off NFL blocks. If he had more time to build up his body I believe he would fix that, but it could be tough against the run right now. With his speed, however, he is capable of a lot of splash plays (picks, tackles behind line when he shoots the gap). If you watch his BC highlights you will see that. Good luck Matty!

Gilmore getting killed in Boston Globe. Nice! Washington Post also has a pretty in-depth article saying the big problem with Cheats defense is that teams have figured out how to beat the hooded one's scheme (Google "Patriots Defense" and hit the news drop down). Not even the great Belichek is immune from press attack. What a day.
-
Zay had his recovery catch. He is now cleared to proceed with his career. He is going to be good eventually.
-
Couldn't believe it. Not Billsy. McBalls!
-
Conventional wisdom is you DON'T go for it on the road on 4th. Not "ultra conservative" - more by the book.
-
Every team is throwing a 30+ spot on them every week. If the hooded one don't get it turned right quick Brady is going to get killed trying to pull out every game. Too early to say it with conviction, but we could be best in the East.

I hope he keeps leaving plays on the field in favor of avoiding turnovers. We have a strong D that can be overcome if we turn it over and - I HATE turnovers. I have no problem with picking a QB if they are a good value when we pick. But we sure don't have to EJ again. And if TT fights him off we trade him for two picks. But TT is not merely a placeholder for some savior and it would be very naive to think that. Rooks with the best creds are a 50/50 crap shoot.
-
Me too. That's why it's different. We ALWAYS lose this game - except now. I had to blink on the 4th down incompletion, then wait for the flag that didn't come, then blink. Then it was just: "oh my goodness. This is impossible."
-
I also know, without even looking, that Taylor is one of the winningest Bills quarterbacks in 55+ years of mostly suck. Without even looking I will guess he is 3rd in lifetime winning percentage among those with 20+ starts after Kelly and Kemp. Then who? Maybe Flutie is ahead? Can't think of who else would be (as much as I loved Fergie, I am sure he was sub-.500).

The FG was VERY aggressive call.
Tyrod Played Okay

Did not play that well in second half at all. But I thought he was fine in the first. I question some of the play calling in second. Shady seemed upset on the one sweep at their 10 where he had no chance from the go-off. Win as a team, lose as a team. We have Gaines, Matthews and Clay I think we win today. Team played hard, showed well. TT needs to be in a position to be a game manager and they needed more than he could give them today.
