  1. I know one can't measure a player purely on stats but any QB that can put up 71 TDs and only 11 INTs in his career playing Division 1A football deserves a shot in the NFL.

If he is there in the 4th round, maybe, but he should be long gone by them.

  2. But his TD celebrations put TO's Sharpie, Joe Horn's cell fone - and anything from Chad Johnson - to shame! :D

    Oh Lois...mmmm Lois...I gotta go...

I like Schaub too, but not for a 2nd rounder. I sick and tired of trading high picks for QBs...just say no!!!

Give JP a chance and hope he develops.

  3. at this point ted is the most proven and most reliable avalable left other then bates with the right pick up in draft and FA the 3-4 could fit the team well as the LB position is probably the strongest on the team

I would love to see Ted back. He is a proven DEF Cord. and was excellent with the Bills and Vikings. I personally would rather have him than Bates.

  4. I think that Jauron is going to be more active on the def. side personally. That is why he hired a few assistants already without a DC. So the DC is going to be working closely with DJ. I think Fairchild will have a more free reign ont eh Offensive side. Having said that, I think he picks Ngata at the #8 spot in the first round.

I think it is way to early to guess where they are going to go in the draft. This team has so many holes, they won't be pigeon-holed into having to take a Defensive lineman. A lot depends on who they are able to get in free agency. Obviously, OL and DL are huge concerns but if they lose Clements they could go corner, they have the worst group of TE's in the NFL and could go there, if for some reason AJ Hawk slipped in the draft...with Levy's history with Conlan and Jauron's with Urlacher...would anyone be shocked if that was the way to go.

  5. The Titans would be a great fit if he is able to learn under McNair for a year or two. I personally don't remember Akili Smith having the speed or elusiveness of Vince. Comparisons to McNabb is a good one. At SU McNabb did nothing near a pro style offense and now plays very well in a West Coast style offense. Vince only needs time and he probably will end up a very good QB.

  6. Marv has a history of not trading up or down?  Remember Cornellius Bennett?  Gave up 2 firsts, a second, and Gregg Bell (another first) for him.  Seems to me if Marv really wants someone, he will get him!  After this "blockbuster" trade there really was no reason to trade up or down.  Bills impact players were set, really only needed to fine tune.  Our scouts did a great job of finding need and even impact players in later rounds.  If offensive line was the only need, Marv would find a way to get D'brick.  Just that with our apparent need on the defensive line as well, it probably isn't worth what would have to be given up to move into the top 5.

That same year, Polian and Marv traded DOWN to get Shane Conlan and the other guy, "Went to Jail" as Marv so elequently stated in his initial hiring press conference. That trade ultimately landed the Bills Nate Odomes.

With that said, the price will be way to much from the Jets to trade up for D'Brick. No way does D'Brick last past #4 after the Senior Bowl practices this week.

Also, Kiper reported that D'Brick was the most dominant player at the Senior Bowl and John Clayton reported that there is a lot of speculation that the Jets will trade down a few spots and take Cutler.

  7. Why is it when someone says something positive or optimistic they are considered being a cheerleader and dreaming, But when they say something negative they are being realistic.

PEOPLE THIS IS A NEW COACHING STAFF. WE HAVEN'T EVEN HIT FREE AGANCY AND THE TEAM IS ALREADY WRITTEN OFF AS LOSERS

We can't beat bellichik cause he is so great. Saban is the second coming in Miami, and manginni is going to be great cause he worked for BB. If you think BB is SUCH A GREAT COACH, go join a pats board and continue to pray to him there. Maybe we have the next Belichik, who knows. It seems no one wants to find out cause he does not have a career winning record coaching the bears and lions

If the Jets were so great why did Fairchild pick the Bills over them anyway?

  8. OMG,  how bad do Colts fans feel now?  Indy would have killed Denver in the Dome like they always do.

Jake the snake is reverting back to his "old" self and the ex-Brownies are playing like...well...Brownies.

  9. i agree no matter u think of mularkey's coaching work in buffalo -- good first year, bad second year, thats what the record indicates anyway -- he did the right thing by leaving after most of his assistants were fired and they jammed marv on him.  problem is with marv still in there in a "jamming" role, it appears to be making it difficult to find a good replacement for mularkey.

Okay, who would YOU have interviewed in this process since Marv is allegedly scaring all the good coaches away.

  10. A running game and an All-Pro O-line can work wonders for you.  Put JP in there and he would excel.

Also, remember that Houston would not trade with Donohoe--who wanted Big Ben--, because Houston was high on Dunta Robinson and didn't want to chance losing him.

Got a feeling that Donohoe wishes that Houston would have made that trade.

  11. I'd be happy with Haslett.  Of course I'd be ecstatic with Sherman but....

    566559[/snapback]

I personally Haslett would be a great fit for Buffalo...but I still came dream that Sherman would come and convince Bret Favre to come with him.

42-38 Before this season (I think you can give him a pass for this season playing essentially all road games this season) and coaching for one of the worst owners in pro football. The guy loves Buffalo and connections to Modrak.

What the heck was Marv's record after his stint in KC?
