This team is in uncharted territory now. Many of us of course remember the 90s teams well, but this team is different and they are further than they have ever been. Very exciting!

Indifference mostly. I was getting pretty numb to coaching choices at that point.

Thanks, Jeff. But what does this have to do with anything? I said I have no doubt he’s a hard worker and a good teammate. I hope all of our guys can go out and have an Isiah McKenzie 3 TD day, but if Duke is doing anything more than standing on the sidelines or getting a few snaps on special teams, something hasn’t gone right in this game.
Here is what it "has to do with anything".
Beane and McD watch Duke all year. Beane and McD know how to evaluate football players. They can be wrong of course, but I wouldn't challenge them on that from my seat here because I haven't watched him all year and they are better than me at evaluating football players.
So my assumption is, if you ARE challenging them on this decision, you must also be watching him and good at evaluating football players.
So I was hoping for some insider knowledge.

And second of all, if you want to discuss this further back and forth, can you please take it to PM with each other instead of filling up this thread? Thank you.
With all due respect, I will drop it. It seems I'm in the heavy minority here lol

If it's the Ravens/Titans, I think we will get the saturday game. No real reason why I think that other than TV ratings for the big markets being able to watch the games.
OK thanks. I was hoping there was some formula. I thought I read here that someone was pretty sure they would play Sunday if they win.
I think I'll pick Sunday off, but I can probably change that after tomorrow if I need to .

Myself personally, I'm not a mod , but I don't see enough conversation evolving from this point of interest to warrant a whole thread on the subject IMO.
With all due respect
It's the "whole thread" part that gets me, like it's some limited resource lol. And of course, with all due respect.

Ughhhh. Very Nathan Peterman-like by trying to run this back. I have no doubt that Duke is a hard worker and a great teammate, but enough already.
Hmm, I assume by how sure you seem in your post that you've been watching his development at practice and you aren't happy with it. How has he been practicing? How has he looked since the rest of us last saw him?

Just now, Figster said:I understand where you guys are coming from, but on the same token we don't necessarily need a new thread start every time someone has a good point or post they want bring up for discussion in my humble opinion.
An older NFL star was seemingly given a box next to the owner of the team. We're not allowed a thread to discuss that?

Honestly, just assume the early Saturday game. The 1 seeds are going to have the late games.
Thanks for the response but why not early Sunday?

I third the notion of wondering why a thread got locked because someone mentioned the topic in the completely unrelated 60+ page game thread. I don't want to have to wade through literally dozens of pages to discuss a topic you wouldn't even expect to find there.
Yep it's annoying. Kills the conversation pretty quickly, that's for sure
Also, sort of OT: if the Bills were to win, does anyone know if they would play on next Sat or Sun? Like is there a system to that scheduling?
Looking to take a day off work next weekend and unsure which to choose in the event the Bills win

Love it!
But why is Chad Johnson in a box at a Bills game during the pandemic?
Seriously, I’m super curious. I didn’t even think families were in the stadium. No fans seems to be no fans.
(Also, closing down the thread for this was silly. It’s not actually related to the Indy game)
I was wondering the same thing, both why he was there and why on earth you guys shut that thread down lol

Exactly. Eff this guy. Just look at him for God's sake. His face screams "punch meeee". D-bag.
Right, even his look is intentional.
He sees Bills fans have an inferiority complex and he is playing to it. It's smart in an annoying way. You will never be able to present enough facts for him to change his mind because being right or wrong is irrelevant to him. He wants your attention and he is getting it.
Childish but very effective obviously

Nick Wright picked these positions in particular because he knows he can antagonize you and make you talk about him. It has nothing to do with what he believes. The faster people realize this the quicker he will go away lol

Awesome achievement for all those guys.
Beasley just shouldn't be there though. He had a great season for himself, but this is just a weird quirk with the way the voting works where receiving 1 outlier vote from someone was enough to tie. There were definitely more deserving WRs this year though.
Big market teams get these all the time. Don't need to apoligize for our great players this season in a small market. Just ride with it. IMO

Diggs is playing. I can't imagine a scenario where he can practice and not play this particular week.

That's not true. I was in Miami week 2 and we had way more Bills fans than the Dolphins

If Brian would ask me I would tell him "don't go to the Jets they stink".

Ask them why their coach was calling time outs down by 29 with 8 minutes left. He ran up the score on himself.
No that's the worst lol. Don't post on other teams boards lol

You're right. If we don't call him up I hope Beane is fired.
I thought this was year 2 of "roster day 1 or PS all year". That was a thing last year and I thought this year also.

Man I hope the Bills are wearing their masks at all times. Can you imagine if we make the playoffs and our players get covid?

I doubt this. It’s likely McKenzie, IMO, who’d fill in for Beasley.
Brown has an entirely different skill set
I love Brown’s short game. He’s very misrepresented as a deep guy imo. He’d be great there -
Brown plays. He'll take Beasley's routes.
-
Love the blue top. My favorite for sure.

Regardless how serious Brown and Beasley injuries are, this is a smart move. There is always the chance they will get hurt again when they do play.
