    What a nifty play call.

Makes me think about how we ran ZERO “trick” plays this year.

Unless there is some play im forgetting.

The only trick play we've run in like five years was the dumb Hamlin fake punt.

Yes, I know Allen’s wonderlic score. My point was in reference to the “dumb” turnovers he makes year after year and seemingly doesn’t learn from. If he was Black making those same mistakes there’d be even more attacks on his intelligence. Josh himself said he felt this year was a down year for him, only Bills fans think he’s worthy of MVP. Need I remind you of the offense’s struggles and firing of an offensive coordinator?

You know who Ravens fans thought deserved the MVP? Lamar. You know who KC fans thought deserved MVP? Mahomes. Bills fans? Allen. And around and around we go with this debate, to the point some of you cling onto race being a deciding factor. It’s weird.

That’s groupthink, voters scared to go against the wave of support for one player. If the playoffs were game, they might have felt differently about their vote after Lamar got undressed at home by Mahomes.

Do you think Lamar and Allen are held to wildly different standards by the media, yes or no?

If Allen was Black and had the same turnover filled seasons, you know, leading the league every year since 2018, there’d be far more attacks on his intelligence and questions about his wonderlic score. In fact, fans across the league already think that “white Josh” is a meat head. I was browsing the Steelers boards when we played them and one commented that “you might have to draw up plays with a crayon for him, but man is he fun to watch.” There’s no deeper conspiracy going on here, Lamar’s MVP is easy to understand even if it’s a bit undeserved. But continue to cling onto race being the deciding factor if it helps you sleep at night.

Allen got a 37 on the Wonderlic. Jackson got a 13. That's a sizable difference in IQ. Kelly got like a 15 for reference.

The Bills can beat the Chiefs. They have done it alot. Just not in the postseason. And two of those games came down to the wire.

I believe it's coaching that wins KC the playoff games. Which is why realistically 2024 is McD's last chance. Anything short of a conference title game, I think he is out. I still can't forgive him for "13 seconds". That still stings.

This team needs a HC to push them over the hump. Belichick would improve this D. And we already have the QB.

Yeah, I agree that I'll really never forgive him for 13 seconds unless McDermott wins a Super Bowl. Allen was on a trajectory that season like Flacco in 2012. Just in the zone.

Allen plays a physical game, so comparing him to a pocket passer seems disingenuous.

Regardless, if Marino didn’t win one, nothing is guaranteed.

A good point. We're going to get a point where he maybe breaks down. That said, I've been saying for a few years that if Allen doesn't stop running so aggressively, he will inevitably get injured, yet his two major injuries happened to him in the pocket.

  5. He's only 27. Peyton Manning didn't win his first playoff game until he was two months shy of 28. Manning was 0-6 in his first six games against Brady; Allen was 3-3 in his first six against Mahomes.

I have my issues with how the team has been constructed since he was drafted, but let's not get crazy about any window being "wasted" or dwindling.

  6. Peterman had a fatal flaw that kills QBs in the pros...arm not strong enough to get enough mustard on sideline passes. That leads to pick-city. As much as I criticize McDermott, Taylor couldn't even break 200 yards in a game the week before when the entire 2nd half was garbage time. McD tried something new, and it obviously blew up in his face.

That being said, I think Tyrod was a good game manager QB. He was likely hindered a bit by Whaley's clear determination to make the Manuel pick work. That all ended the game he made Anthony Lynn start him against the Jets, and Cardale Jones threw for more yards in the 4th quarter.

To believe that Lamar’s skin color contributed to why he won the award, is it your assertion that if Josh Allen had the same season as Lamar (lower TDs/lower turnovers/more dominant wins) that he wouldn’t have won it because he’s white? That Swagu, Ryan Clark, and the other “loud group of ppl in the media (implied hint: Black folks)” wouldn’t have talked him up because he’s not a Black guy? And therefore wouldn’t have won the award? Is that it?

I'm not 100% sure what you're asking here, but if their races were reversed, Allen would 100% be the NFL MVP right now.

We live in a social climate where this plays a factor - if you're white and vote for a white player, you're going to face accusations of racism from idiots.

Look at the NBA MVP race last year. Look at how Stephen A. Smith reacted to Allen getting a single 1st place vote.

He declared Dak better than Josh as soon as the ink dried on his Giants contract. He’s a bitter little man.

He said that Dak had the best presence in the huddle and, in the same breath, said that Allen was by far the most physically gifted QB he played with. He didn't exactly diss Allen.

You know this was Beasley. Both him and Edelman are founding members of the white slot WR with a beard club. I just don’t get these guys. The one thing that I learned early in my professional life is to never burn bridges. Beasley lights up those bridges with a blowtorch.

Beasley never even played a game for the Giants and had his best years with Allen. It makes no sense that he would say that.

  10. My money is on Davis Webb. Allen seems like he is able to essentially choose who his backups are, and those decisions are often based on personal friendships (Barkley, Kyle Allen).

Webb was gone after only one year here and is probably bitter about how the QB room was constructed.

  11. The most embarrassing day in Bills history in my lifetime (just turned 40) was the first game played in Toronto. Not only did our crappy, heartless team get rolled by Miami, you could hear audible "Let's Go Dolphins" chants from the crowd.

They took a home game away from Buffalo and put it in a different country, ironically giving the Dolphins a friendlier environment than they get when the Bills play them in Miami. It was such a disgrace.

Which part? I'm happy to discuss it.

They won't want to discuss any of it, because what you said is 100% true. At least half of Bills fans were so traumatized by the playoff drought that they're perfectly happy to win the division and maybe a playoff game because shooting for anything more involves the risk that mediocrity might rear it's ugly head again. That should not be a legitimate worry when you have Allen in his prime.
