Our local SPCA has some sort of a relationship with an organization in Tennessee.  I got my cat there and he was from Tennessee.  I believe @Turbosrrgood adopted one or two dogs from there and they are also from Tennessee.

To @ExiledInIllinois's point, I also find it disheartening to know so many animals need to be rescued.

Puppy mills piss me off and so do these people who basically create home-based puppy mills.  They get a boy/girl dog, let the girl have puppies at home, sell the ones lucky enough to survive - usually too soon.  Wash, rinse, repeat.

    Disgusts me.

You are correct Gug, both my dogs were rescues from Tennessee, the last one through the SPCA near you. It does seem crazy that there is a seemingly endless supply of dogs needing rescue, particularly from the south. I know the northeast in general imports them nonstop, and its still not enough.

I’m curious as to why Kelvin Benjamin was, for the most part, vilified by the national media for giving  honest answers regarding Cam Newton, and yet the talking heads praise Jalen Ramsey’s trash talk. Stephen A Smith called his rant “compelling.”

It's not a double standard for a couple of reasons...one, Benjamin was rightly trashed for his comments about Cam, it was not ignored. 2nd, what they said was not comparable, Ramsey attacked a number of high profile QBs in the NFL, for no apparent reason other than to troll for attention (which he's getting). Those teams fans represent millions and millions of people. KB's comments were stupid, but it was a personal situation with his old team, there was history behind it.

UB study of ex-Bills, Sabres finds CTE 'much more rare than we thought'

“In time, people will begin to realize it’s an important issue, CTE exists, but it’s much more rare than we thought,” Willer said.

Shh, people don't like it when you suggest that they shouldn't be outraged about something

  4. Some people here have been rightfully skeptical, but I'm surprised/entertained by how many people are taking this so seriously.

It seems painfully fake, dude savagely beat his GF, dog, and did steroids with needles all in the same tweet?  And somehow the only "news outlet" covering it is "lipstickalley"?

    Sure sounds real to me!
