  1. What if we were to trade Fitz & a pick to SF for Smith? That way if whoever we draft needs time to develop, or doesn't get it done, we've got a guy who's maybe not spectacular, but solid to play QB and let our playmakers make plays. It would be a good move for SF b/c they get a solid veteran b/u who isn't disgruntled and gain a pick in the process (I'm thinking 4th?). Anyone think they'd go for it?

    I'd be surprised if the Bills don't take a run at Ken Whisenhunt among their head coaching options. He has some ties there.

    PTR

    :doh::censored::wallbash::thumbdown::bag:

    Ken Whisenhunt?

    Who dreams up this crap! Why would the Bills fire a mediocre head coach (Gailey) for another proven loser?

    Has anybody seen how bad Arizona played under Whisenhunt? This is total madness.

    The next idiot idea would be to hire Jim Haslett as head coach.

  3. Chiefs, Eagles, Browns and Jags won't be taking a QB round 1 for sure. Eagles really like Foles and will try and develop him more before using such a high pick and won't touch one in 2nd either. Too many other holes. Browns won't take a QB in round 1, but could snag a guy in round 2 if someone slips. Chiefs I think will look to fill holes in first 2 rounds and grab a guy in third on they can try and develop and roll with Cassel and him next year...again too many holes. Jax will look to see what a new staff can do with Gabbert and Tebow (he will be a jag) before using high picks this year on a QB

    Raiders I think won't look at QB round 1 and will try and get OL help first. AZ certainly takes a QB IMO.

    We could be second team to grab QB or go Teo and look QB in 2nd

    My Wish is for Manti Teo Rd 1 And Ryan Nassib Rd 2... GO BILLS !!! :thumbsup::beer:
  4. TSW member 'bbb' posted this in another thread, but this should be seen by all. Thanks for this great find bbb

    http://boards.buffal...!!!!!!-READ!!!!

    "source below) Ralph Wilson will be shooting a pre-recorded CRITICAL statement regarding the team for "Mondays" business....This is real big news with more implications and info below, but bare with me as I go back a few days ago.

    .....So I reported a verified thread a few days ago........... http://boards.buffal....ill-be-altered ............ (verified by a few local media connections within the post which also had like 3k plus views)........anyways it talked about why the press conference time for Monday was "TBA" and SO far it is NOT rescheduled yet for New Years Eve. I spoke with him again tonight......first let me clarify for just a few who thought the reason for the move was due to the holiday, its not because the XMAS eve presser was given out by Friday and he said no one has info on the new time and its "wait and see" directly from MGMT.

    anyways, how this relates to huge ralph wilson pre recorded statement news..........

    Along with a pre-recorded statement that will be edited and contain critical information...... so much so that the video team is on strict orders to be on call at the facility Sunday/Monday with a complete gag order. The editing will be done in another room as it comes in live so that Ralph make adjust anything the behind the scenes team deems necessary as it relates to how it will look and sound. NO PRESS WILL BE WITNESS to this and its only going to be Ralph's handler and necessary people. This is not a happy holidays greeting either people, so dont even say that. Ralph has never done one anyways. Also, there is a private salon coming in to help groom Ralph and its been now relayed to him that the months of this season have been spent rehabbing, eating and trying to present a solid, healthy Ralph Wilson for the camera, but this is all for this recording. Exactly why he is in town right now and everyone said he looks great, like Eric Wood on Twitter.

    Now, with that being the news, he can confirm all the above, but is speculating THE CONTENT of the video and its with dare "he" says, "real insider news". This last part, please dont run to the bank with it. But it might be the fact he is stepping down control, but has controlling interest still with the organization. Also perhaps to be naming Monday the successors/HC.....He wont fire anyone on camera, thats for sure, it would be already done. But thats the news!

    Ralph has always done the things right. Think about this guys. The NFL could even have a hand in this. This could set the tone on how aging super star owners step down. It makes sense instead of the guy just dying like other owners who do in a middle of a season. This just gives it a better ribbon and makes things look better prepared from the organization standpoint and the league standpoint. Having owners die in term is not the example they want.

    THIS IS HUGE! and go....."

    WOW !!! WAY TO GO RALPH !!!! GO BILLS !!! :beer::thumbsup:
  5. First of all....

    THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT WHILE I WAS DEPLOYED! My last deployment and now I am retiring. This web page means more to me that you will ever know. It gave me relaxation at the end of a stressful shift to read my football and hockey news! Thanks Scott and everyone else who keeps it going! Now I can get SEASON TICKETS and I cant want till the next home opener to meet some of you guys and gals!

    Second

    Merry Christmas to all of you and please enjoy your families and some great food!

    Third....

    I say this, beside comming home to family and everyone being safe, having the Bills sign that lease is great news and a gift. No matter how bad this team plays, we are all still Bills fans at the end of the day!

    God Bless you all and Merry Christmas from me and my family

    :thumbsup:
  6. This will be the way the marketing department will try to hype the offseason and get people interested back into buying tickets and merchandise.

    Tebow will come cheap in the way of a 4th round pick or later. Also keep the media off Chan and Nix going into next season. Russ Brandon works his magic once again.

    Buffalo Bills

    Record: 5-8

    buf.gif

    Manti Te'o, ILB, Notre Dame

    The Bills could be in the market for a quarterback depending on how they feel about Ryan Fitzpatrick after this season, but there's no way Barkley has the arm to play in Buffalo in the winter. There is also no wide receiver worth taking this high to fill their need at that position. Te'o would give the team another young defensive leader up the middle with DTMarcell Dareus. He's a three-down linebacker who can handle the point of attack against the run and has shown plenty of ability in underneath coverage.

    I'd love to see this!

    Only one QB, Geno Smith, in the first round 8th to Arizona.

    1) Star Lotuleilei, KC

    2) DeMontre Moore, Jax

    3)Bjoern Warner, Oak

    4) Luke Joeckel, Philly

    5) Jonathan Hankins, Car

    Mingo, Milliner, Smith, Lewan and Warmack round out the top ten.

    :thumbsup:

  8. We already know what Brad Smith, or Jones can do at the WR position.

    What we don't know is what Marcus Easley can do at the WR position and now the playoffs are pretty much out of reach, Marcus Easley should be evaluated in my opinion.

    Marcus Easley gives Fitzpatrick a big, fast, physical target that can go up in a crowd of defenders and come down with the football...

    :worthy::thumbsup:
  9. With Rivers' age, if they traded for him, they would most likely buy 1-2 more offseasons, but they would probably draft the future soon.

    :thumbsup:

    I agree with this post. Rivers is 31 and from what I can find has 3 years left on the extension he signed in 2009. That takes the pressure off drafting a QB this year, and instead lets them focus on filling the more pressing holes at LB (Barnett is 32), CB2, possibly WR2 and possibly SS unless Searcy pans out.

    Then, ideally in the 2014 draft, you get your QB of the future and let him sit, study and develop for a year or two (a la Rodgers and Rivers himself).

    :beer::thumbsup:
  10. For his first start I thought he played well. Young CBs are gonna get picked on and burnt. It's a given.

    However, Henne, Shorts, and Blackmon and Marcedes Lewis have been lighting it up pretty well over the last few weeks.

    The weather hurt their passing game a bit but I liked what I saw from Brooks.

  11. Tressel HC Dabo OC?

    :thumbsup:

    He was meeting George Siefert at the airport

    :doh::censored::w00t::lol: :lol: :lol:

    more likely vice versa

    :flirt::thumbsup:

    Ralph couldnt afford Dabo.

    :thumbsup: It's NOT that Ralph couldn't afford him, it's just that Ralph DOES NOT BILLIEVE in paying for a QUALITY COACH !!!

    I guess that's why the saying goes YOU GET WHATQUALITY YOU PAY FOR !!!!

  12. Reports (and his own Facebook posts) say that Rolando McClain will be released by the Raiders this week. He had a ton of talent and upside at one point (#8 pick in the draft) and heard that he did not fit well with Dennis Allen from a friend in Oakland but has a short history of underperforming and shooting guns during fights. He did have 99 tackles and 5 sacks last year and is only 23 years old. With the state of our linebackers, what do we think?

    :thumbsup:

    I'd go for it but the FO only wants boy scouts.

    :doh::lol:
  13. I'm not going to put Jerry Sullivan's name in the thread title because certain people automatically discount what he says, but this article he wrote today puts everything that has happened in perspective.

    http://www.buffalone...ills-drive-1004

    Lindell had not been given a chance to do what he does best, and he vocalized it.

    Spiller hasn't been given a chance to do what he does best.

    Gailey is still in denial of what is wrong and holds on with clenched fist his idea of offense despite the evidence.

    It has gotten ridiculous.

  14. 50,000 is a stretch. It's sad, but I'm happy that the remaining home games will be blacked out thus allowing me to concentrate on good games. Last week, w/ no Bill's game, my Sunday was fantastic. I watched good football all day, the Red Zone channel was switching rapid fire style between the three concurrent overtime games and I wasn't exposed to the futility known as Ryan Fitzpatrick.

    I did the same and I couldn"t AGREE more !!! :beer::thumbsup:
