Cook hasn’t even been able to consistently get on the field as RB2 this year, though his usage is increasing slowly, so I’m not really thinking about him being RB 1 next year. If you take a RB in the 2nd then the goal should be having someone that can be your workhorse and not just someone that is in the game for 10 plays. I can’t imagine Cook’s usage is going to increase now. He’s now the clear odd man out in that RB room until next year.

I think Beane might’ve panicked and drafted Cook for the role he wanted instead of him being BPA. Pure speculation, obviously.

I like Hines and what he offers. I’m disappointed that we needed to make this move after drafting Cook in the 2nd. It would have been nice if Cook was able to play the role of Hines as anticipated.

He’s not a moron so I’m pretty sure he does. He also isn’t going to make a trade just for the sake of making one.

Beane is likely fielding an insane amount of calls from several teams desperate to unload one of their best players for Moss and a 5th.

I’d probably call Vegas about Foster Moreau before I called Detroit about Hockenson.

I get the reasoning behind why it makes sense. But my question is if you think Hockenson is going to get the ball and be a difference maker then why isn’t Knox already getting the ball? TE almost seems like an afterthought in this offense. Which is why I don’t think we’d get the biggest return on the investment of trading for Hock. Knox is clearly TE 1 in this offense and I’d rather see us get him going before adding another guy that’s going to need the ball too.

We barely use the TE we already have who’s shown he can be just as much of a weapon for us. Plus I don’t think Beane is going to make a move for another TE like Hockenson after he just paid Knox.
