  1. Agree somewhat. But this issue is not about paying the market rate. It's about unfettered federal government power to seize anything it wants with no due process. Unless you're a fascist, that should scare you. If these sites are illegal, shut them down with the court system, not DHS and ICE.

Funny how everyone here is so quick to defend Fox news, Capitalism, and free markets as a concept, but when it involves actually PAYING THE MARKET RATE for a product such as football, it's OK to shirk those concepts if a free but "stolen" source is available. Classic.

  2. What an appropriate job for Immigration Control and Enforcement--enforcing illegal...content. This country is in trouble when the government can just pull the plug on free speech with no action from the courts. Meanwhile, Egypt is doing the same thing and we condemn.

Don't care about who you voted for, but if you think this is an appropriate thing to happen in a free society, you've got issues, Democrat or Republican. These sites, and many more, are being pulled with no intervention from the courts. This is an overreach of the federal government, and smacks of what's going on in Egypt right now.

I knew this was going to turn into thread of idiots before I opened up. How predictable- a website which illegally streamed sporting events, which hard working people have to pay for via cable TV or going to a sports bar, and now Obama is a Socialist. As if Obama himself has spent countless hours worrying about this.

  3. Know of any teams with great wide receivers and a horrid defense, other than maybe the Rams 10 years ago, that have ever gotten to a Superbowl? AJ Greene, who I like and played for my alma mater, is a luxury we can't afford. Receivers don't win championships.

  4. Why I want the Pats lose? Their whole mentality. Last time the Bills and Jets played, I joked with a Pats fan before the game and told him they have to lose sometime, and today is as good as any. Without even looking, he said "No they're aren't" with no smile and just walked away. Something their head coach would do, instead of joking around and talking.

Wanted that ass hat to eat his words.

    Sincerely hope they choke tomorrow.

  5. Surprised to see so many root for the Pats.

Rex Ryan is a figure. He's fun, intentionally obnoxious. Billichek is standoffish, arrogant, and has no respect for the media and other teams. He intentionally embarrasses other fans and teams by running up scores. Plus, the Pats are our biggest rivals.

    Go Jets.

  6. Great analysis. Let's hope we don't draft a "skill" position in the first or second. Front 7 and O line is what we need. TE in the third. Then we can start talking QBs and WRs.

I would really love AJ Greene.

There I go, thinking like the Bills front office again.

  7. Its time to blow this thing up and start over. There are a lot of players who need to go and Ryan Fitzpatrick is not the answer long term at QB.

We've been blowing things up for 14 years. It's time to take what we have good and build on that. We'll constantly be rebuilding otherwise.

Unless Luck is available, let's draft some defensive studs in the first two rounds. Then a TE. Those are our immediate needs.

Fitz will take the team to the playoffs with those elements in place.

  8. Here's the playoff seeding for this year:

    AFC

Jets (Sanchez, 1st rd pick) vs. Colts (Manning, 1st rd pick)

Ravens (Flacco, 1st rd pick) vs. Chief (Cassel, 7th rd pick)

    Bye

    Steelers (Roethlisberger, 1st rd pick)

    Patriots (Brady, 6th rd pick)

    NFC

New Orleans (Brees, 2nd rd pick) vs. either St. Louis (Bradford, 1st rd pick) or Seattle (Hasselbeck, 6th rd pick)

Green Bay (Rodgers, 1st rd pick) vs. Eagles (Vick, 1st rd pick or Kolb, 2nd rd pick)

    Bye

Atlanta Falcons (Ryan, 1st rd pick)

    Chicago (Cutler, 1st rd pick)

1st rd picks at QB in playoffs: 9 of 12 teams

Teams that didn't make the playoffs with winning records:

    Giants (Manning, 1st rd pick)

Tampa Bay (Freeman, 1st rd pick)

San Diego (Rivers, 1st rd pick)

    # of teams with winning records + playoff teams with 1st rd QBs: 12 of 15

Other 1st rd picks at QB:

Teams that didn't make the playoffs with .500 or below records:

Dallas (Romo [hurt], undrafted, Kitna undrafted)

Washington (McNabb, 1st rd pick, Grossman, 1st rd pick) - both have been to SB with other teams

Detroit (Stafford [hurt], 1st rd pick, Hill, undrafted) - too early on Stafford

Minnesota (Favre [hurt], 2nd rd pick, Jackson, 2nd rd pick)

Carolina (Moore [hurt], undrafted, Clausen, 2nd rd pick)

San Francisco (Smith, 1st rd pick, Smith, 5th rd pick) - Smith is a legit bust

Arizona (Anderson, undrafted, Hall, undrafted, Skelton, 5th rd pick)

    Miami (Henne, 2nd rd pick)

Cleveland (Delhomme, undrafted, McCoy, 3rd rd pick)

Cincinnati (Palmer, 1st rd pick) - has been above average most of his career, but is starting to fade

    Jacksonville (Garrard, 4th rd pick)

Tennessee (Young, 1st rd pick, Collins, 1st rd pick) - Young is a headcase, Collins has been to SB

Oakland (Campbell, 1st rd pick, Boller, 1st rd pick) - both underachievers

Denver (Orton, 4th rd pick, Tebow, 1st rd pick) - too early on Tebow

Obviously, drafting a QB in the 1st does not guarantee a better team or playoff spot, but the numbers do not lie - to win in this league, you have to have a stud behind center, and 9 out of 12 times, they are found in the first round.

Disagree. Fitz at least is an average QB playing behind a below average line and with a way below average run defense. I think most fans would rather have him than Sanchez or Henne. Unless we can get Luck, I don't see any point wasting a first round pick on anything other than addressing our most pressing need--run stuffers.

  9. What did Fitz mask last week against the Pats? 3 Ints, 2 fumbles is not a great day at the office. Brohm played terribly, but Fitz is "really good"?

Say, are you interested in some prime real estate in southern Florida?

Fitz is a good QB. I'd rather have him than Sanchez or the Chads. The lack of Fitz today showed how well he plays behind a bad line.

He had a bad game last week against the best team in the NFL. Give him a break.

  10. Brohm looks as bad as I thought he would. Watched him play Atlanta last year, and I saw nothing positive of his game play. Disappointed Fitz couldn't redeem himself from the last game.

All in all, for the first quarter, the Jets are too physical for the Bills.

Think this will be a bad game. Too bad. What an exciting (albeit 4-10) season. Was hoping to end the season on a high note.

  11. We have no idea how Luck, or anyone else will perform in the NFL. Many of the NFL's top QBs were nobodies. Brady for one. And many superstars did nothing when they came to the big leagues. I remember thinking Ryan Leaf was going to be amazing...Where the hell is he today?

I do believe Fitz has the tools to be a top QB in this league. He's not the reason why we're 4-11. I can only count two bad games he's played all year. I'm not saying we don't draft a QB, but our first need is a run stuffer. Let's not make the same mistake as earlier this year when we drafted a superstar in the first round and ignored our most glaring problems.

  12. it truly doesn't matter what anyone thinks or wants about winning or losing next week. We will lose. This team does not have the makings to play tough teams. This team is five years from the playoffs and 10 years from being allowed on the same field as the Patriots. Team needs are RDE, NT, DT, LDE, LB, LB, ILB, ILB, S, RT, LT, G, QB, WR, TE, TE. And by the time we get half of them you can throw a P & K into the mix. A top five pick and a second pick around #35 may produce one starter and only one bust. But that is if we are lucky and don't blow both picks.

Completely disagree. "10 years from being allowed on the same field as the Patriots"? Brady won't be playing in 10 years. Billichek probably won't be coaching for them either. Teams are made and broken in the offseason--often one season. Teams make radical changes in one year...every year.

This team is a few changes, a lot of practice, and a couple of draft picks and trades away, from being in the playoffs.

  13. Never thought I'd say this, but yes, we need to lose to the Jets.

I want a team I can be proud of next year, and a win could seriously jeopardize a decent draft choice. (I seriously wanted the Bills to beat the Pats today but that shalacking clearly shows our weaknesses). A Jets win is meaningless to them, a win would be useless for us for pride because they'd be playing with backups, and a loss means two, maybe three picks early in the draft for us).

This team is close to being a playoff contender. One draft pick could make the difference between 8-8 and watching the playoffs at home and 10-6 and (finally) playing in a wildcard...or championship.

Just imagine if nothing else was different about this team, other than if we had a Troy Polamalu-like safety and started Fitz from Game 1. We'd likely be something close to 9-6 right now. We could very well have beaten the Dolphins the first week, the Chiefs, Bears, Steelers and Ravens.

  14. Fitz had a really bad game. He's smart, and he'll learn. The receivers dropped balls. The line couldn't provide good protection. The defense couldn't stop the run, or any tight ends. And we abandoned the run way too quickly. All in all bad game.

  15. The Bills have the tools to do it. The Pats are obviously better.

I also want to Billeave, and I think it's a better than average possibility they could pull the upset off if they don't make any bonehead mistakes and put a good game plan in. Either way, this team is finally headed in the right direction, and I will--for the first time in years--be confident the team will be substantially better next year than last.

  16. With just 2 games remaining Fitz has cemented his status as the starting QB, we aren't going to the playoff, perhaps we should take the last 2 games to see what Brohm and Levi can do, as well as the rest of the rookies and other non starting guys.

Jehuu Caulcrick is another one we should try running a bit more he is a big physical back, and locals would get a kick out of seeing him run for 100 yards given that he came from Clymer NY in Chautauqua County.

I'd like to see Fred Jackson get his 1000 yards because he deserves it.

NO way. This game, we see if Fitz can take what he learned and potentially beat the Pats. I think this is the game we see if he's the QB of the future or just a decent option until we get a better one. We all saw what Brohm can do. It's not much. I was in Atlanta watching the game at the dome last year. We've already blown a high draft pick. Let's end the season with pride and beat the freakin Patriots already.
