  1. 2 hours ago, Kelly the Dog said:

He can and does hit that pass a lot. He didn't there. It was a bad pass and one of his worst. But hard to say that's the reason he's never going to be a franchise guy because he hits players like that all the time.

Totally disagree.  More times than not he puts the ball in precisely the wrong position.  His normal is delivering the ball behind the reciever who then has to either stop or turn around to make the catch.  Check his reciever yac yards.

  2. Thats why I painted the whole picture. Cam is absolutely less efficient but isnt much different in terms of the gross stats on the positive side.

The most telling part is you picked Cam for the comparison. Bush league loser buffalo mentality. Newton...really? Maybe next time use Moore as the comparison?
  3. I could, but would see no reason to. That would be petty of me, in my opinion.

I understand it's my business, my only point is to refute everyone that says, "anybody else would get fired if they did that at their job" . Not in this case.

that isn't what he said. He said he couldn't disobey his boss without getting fired. I understand the argument you wanted to make, but he didn't say that.
  4. Agreed.

Too many Madden players on TSW. It took HOW many years to get a good / above average LT and now, with the first injury of his career, some people just want to flush that for some unknown if-come?

That's the recipie that's kept them out of the playoffs for 17 years...

Technically the second injury of his career. He missed a few games last year. Maybe for the same reason though, I can't remember the injury last year.

  5. His production would likely be higher here at this time as he already had a rapport and chemistry with Tyrod Taylor. When you are the new target and haven't been through the OTA s and practices with a QB it will take a little time. Thrown in Gurley, Kupp and Woods and there a re only so many balls to go around. SW would easily be the Bills top target right now. It's far too early to say if the move was a good one. For now, the team is less potent offensively.

Likely not. He is on pace for his rough career average.

  6. I think most fans knew who he was and were happy we signed him in FA. And Poyer made more highlight plays and Tre White got a lot of well deserved pub, too. But Hyde has been tremendous against the pass and run. And his obvious highlight plays will be discussed a lot. But he makes a lot of other plays as well.

We have yet to give up one bomb in four games. He made two tackles on long runs that were hard tackles in the open field that are touchdowns if he misses them. He doesn't see to miss assignments or tackles. They put him back to be a reliable PR returner. He's been lights out, even with other defensive backs being lights out. And he's probably been the best overall player on defense. Many have played well.

Wait a minute. What about all the guys that "know what they are looking at", Dareus is the beast in this D.

  7. "At first, you're like, 'Oh my gosh, what the heck?' But you kind of give it a little bit and let as much of the pain wear off as it can and go from there. I tried to come in and let [trainers] work on it. I tried to throw and those kinds of things. It just wasn't ready yet -- not saying it won't be [ready next week]. It just wasn't ready today. I tried to do anything I could to be back out there, but I just couldn't."

What is it with these young players having to proclaim that they're not going in until they say they're ready? Pretty selfish, if you ask me.

EDIT: And who the hell says, "oh my gosh, what the heck?" Fake ass.

Come out and say it you raging bigot. He's a Christian and you can't deal with that.

  8. Haven't gone through this whole thread - but I would recommend anyone saying they don't like what Hughes said to watch the video if they haven't . To me his comments were extremely heartfelt, sincere, and even eloquent. The crux of his message was about sticking up for Shady, and teammates and expressing disappointment in Kelly not keeping his opinions in house, to be discussed directly with teammates, and not through the media. And also imploring Kelly to give constructive advice/teaching to the team, not divisive rhetoric. The whole "shouldn't be on the field" sound bite isn't the headline - and isn't even what he said

Reporter: How do you feel about Jim remaining on the sidelines before games

Hughes: Half the time I don't even realize he is there until it was pointed out to me yesterday. After the display of actions that he did it was pointed out, brought to my attention. I'm not sure I understand it. We are the 2017 Buffalo Bills. We are focused on the future, focused on winning games. If he wants to offer anything of encouragement to our team to our offense to our quarterback, please provide all that. We could use all the encouragement we need to find out how they won games in those days and be as successful as they were. But we're trying to bring a team together, we're trying to bring a community together, we're trying to bring a nation together. And by dividing us, dividing the the team, it doesn't work

    Jerry is normally well spoken.

  9. The early returns are that both Gillisle and Gillmore were major reaches by Bellichick.

Can you imagine that luxury though? You already have a stud qb and offensive weapons so you can go out and grab the top corner and probably overpay for a running back without fear. If it doesn't work out you'll only win 11 games on your way to the afc championship game at worst. That's how the other half live.

  10. Yes good idea - let's keep shedding star players and using draft picks to replace them. Then if and when those draftees become good players, we can turn on them and replace them, too! What could go wrong?

Star players are made on the field over years of production. That's different than lots of potential with 2 good years way back when. MLB has the war stat. I would love to see something like this on Marcell. I think his role and production is replaceabe at a far cheaper rate. It seems he could be great if he wasn't him. Too bad.

  11. And it wouldn't have gotten any notoriety either. And how do you propose to know what the players are protesting...what they do or don't take pride in?? We have protests of some kind every day in our nation. The few...very few protesters at the time...were singled out by the president. Divisively and most disrespectfully. Did not Trump disrespect their constitutional rights by that act? Did not he himself disrespect the constitution...as much a symbol as the flag or anthem???

Had he worded it tactfully, none of this occurs. What an egotistical dipshit.

Constitutional rights? I get your outrage but what? No sarcasm or disrespect meant here, educate me if I am wrong please.

  12. Yep. It's amazing anyone ever gets married with all these disrespectful proposers.

Sarcasm or clueless? I'm sorry I can't tell anymore.

No it's not, you're simply assigning your interpretation of what it means and it's not your place to dictate their form of protest. You certainly have the right to not like it however.

Let's be intellectually honest here. Our cultural norms (maybe I want societal there?) in this country dictate standing for the anthem is the respectful thing to do. Therefore, doing anything else would logically be disrespectful. We can debate whether or not the intention is to be disrespectful. I think some maybe, some no. That said, norms dictate behavior and generation after generation has been raised to stand for the anthem out of respect. That isn't debatable is it?

  13. Freedom of speech? Wonder if he will get fined .. as did the guy who made sexual gestures after a tackle last week.. getting really confused about freedom of speech in regard to the NFL

One might need to research the meaning and application of freedom of speech. Particularly concerning freedom of consequences.

I love the backhanded, slick aggressions of this post. In no way or form does OBJs hair have anything to do with anything, but the inner ignorance just comes out and says, "why does his coach allow him to have stupid hair", and now there's a 24/7 argument over the validity racial inequality.

Not once has anyone called clay Matthews hair dumb. Hm.

It's amazing how your bias leaps out from the page. You mad bro? Maybe take remedial reading. He never referenced OBJ's hair. Mcadoo's hair dude. Chill out and quit being racist, or guilty.

  14. The players have acknowledged that their intention is not to disrespect the military

    http://www.kansascity.com/news/local/article175160636.html

Nucci, it isn't about intention. People are going to be angry because it is a sign of disrespect intended or not. Not recognizing that as a factual point doesn't help the conversation, it only increases the tension and puts people on the denfensive. If for generations people are taught you stand out of respect then doing anything else will be seen as disrespectfull by many regardless of personal stance on the reason for protesting.
