  1. Thinking just about the Bills, the one that pops into my mind is Sam Cowart. He was become a very dominant MLB, not quite in the same breath as Ray Lewis, but when he blew his achilles, there weren't many better MLB's in the league. He was young and had his best years ahead of him. I also think of another ILB who probably had his best years behind him, but still had tread on the tires when he got hurt and that was Chris Speilman.
  2. 19. If you watch youtube for Bills highlights from 1986-1996 and cry during them, you might be a Bills fan.
  3. Amazing how all those guys made it look effortless. Some day lambasting NE will be the norm again.
  4. Yeah, I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you on this one... If Brohm deserved to play, he would've been on the field. Clearly, he does not. You start him, or even play him while a game is competitive and you are signaling that you have given up on the season. For a team who is being heralded for the fact that they haven't quit, this would be a really bad message from up top. Brohm can mop up for Fitzy and whoever is brought in for next year in preseason next year.
  5. It sucks that we are all so desperate to win that we have spend this type of energy discussing the merits of bringing in a registered sex offender, who was so good that no one drafted him.
  6. This is a good post, one worth commenting on. I can't say that I am overwhelmed with Nix and Gailey at this point, but they do enough things that seem savvy to me, to provide me with encouragement. For instance, showcasing Lynch is one thing, but the other thing that they were able to do by playing him prior to trading him was give Freddy time to heal his hand more rather than push it earlier...as well as let Spiller get acclimated slowly, hopefully helping to avoid the late season wall that rookies seem to hit. Dumping Edwards is synonomous with admitting they were wrong, and that type of acknowledment, should be recognized. If you can't be perfect, at least admit when you are wrong and move on. I am not sure that previous coaching/management regimens would've done that.
