Try Googling "Sports Bars in Oahu" and see what you find. Then try emailing/ calling the possibilities to "fine tune" your search. I've been to Wakiki, but don't know if there's much out on Oaho. But mostly, enjoy your honeymoon.

Could be tough year for Bills, who changed coaches, lost their leading receiver and top pass rusher, and have banged-up backs.
Prediction: 4-12, last in AFC East
When did we lose Lee Evans? Oh, or did he mean we lost our oldest and most famous ticket seller who also catches AND DROPS several passes thrown his way?
Just shows how out of touch these a$$rods are and how little research they put into our favorite perennial loser.
These predictions should be hung-up in the locker room.
Well said, evelbuffalobob!! I love the "When did we lose Lee Evens", and the rest of the post. Well done.

"Expert" is right. That's the worst "analysis" for predictions I've ever read. A 5th grader could do better.(and I'm not trying to slam 5th graders.) They're ignorant, really ignorant. Evidently their formula is: Recall how the Bills looked last year, bring in some percieved negative things (ex: "the QB situation is scary", "there's issues at runningback") and then say the Bills will win only 2 or 3 ballgames.
And oh by the way, anybody hear Warren Sapp's comment about Buffalo on yesterday's Total Access on NFL Network? "What do you like about Buffalo, Warren"? I don't like anything about Buffalo......except maybe the chicken wings." And that was it!!! Gosh, NOW I see why they pay you the big money Sapp.

I am so hoping he plays up to his potential so we can shove it up Clayton's @#!. Edwards has had a rough start to a career, but if he keeps playing like he has the past two pre-season games, he could end up having a really good year. I love it that everyone is picking us to suck. It will give us die hard fans who believe more fuel for the fire when they roll into the playoffs.
In my best Jim Mora voice,
"PLAYOFFS!!!! PLAYOFFS!!!! DON'T TALK ABOUT.....PLAYOFFS"
Hey Coach 55, I hope you're right.

Who cares about this topic. Cowher, like Gruden & Shannahan didn't want to come to Buffalo. We got a guy who wants to be here and clearly he's making a difference. Bringing up this topic is a waste of time & energy. We're moving forward now and putting that stuff in the past.

In today's press conference, Gailey said the WRs were actually playing worse rather than better. When was the last time you heard a coach say that? What he meant was they were making more mental errors, not that they sucked. Gailey is not going to let anyone get away doing a half-assed job. That alone will make us a better team.

I think the argument is that when there is continuity for a QB within an offensive system and with a coach, it becomes easier for that QB to experience success.
The quarterback can build additional layers of competency upon a foundation that's been laid in previous seasons.
At some point a quarterback can probably "put it in autopilot" if they've been in a system long enough. Certain tasks become second nature.
The stability and the constant repetition would seem to me to be a big advantage. Mastery and understanding is only achieved through repetition.
The other reason I excerpted that quote was because while there are a few quarterbacks who've endured instability in their NFL careers (Alex Smith is another one), Trent has had to deal with instability during his college AND his professional career.
That's something that hasn't been mentioned very much around here and in fairness to Trent, it's a significant bit of his history and it should be mentioned.
It might be spin but you could actually say he's overcome a good deal to have started so many games in the NFL.
And I'm not a big Trent believer. But IMO that's a bit of an uphill battle that he's had.
SJBF, good points, and good insight into the game. Thanks for posting. RWR

Whitner's comments seem to be in line with what some of the Bills opponents had to say about playing against the Bills, over the last few years. I can't remember who it was, for some reason I think it may have been a Patriot player, who made some very cutting remarks about the Bills after they had kicked the Bills asses. Something like "We always know what they are going to do..."
I believe that was a Chiefs defensiveback last year after our game w/ them. I don't deny that a Patriot may have said that, too. But I remember the post game quote from him. Can't remember his name, though.

And how did we get the Cousineau pick in '79? Was that #1 draft pick position we got somehow OJ to San Fran. connected? I remember reading an article by Larry Felser long ago where he discussed this. But the details he mentioned in the article escapes me.

Wegman's is hiring
Maddog that's cold. I laughed my butt off at it, though.

Thanks Rev, but not really. It's what people should do for each other. I am proud to be a citizen of a country with people like you, your wife and your son in it.
My thanks & prayers go out to you and your family.
Thanks

I didn't intend to bring people down or cause needless worry.
When Promo subtitled his thread "It may be a moment to note" I anticipated him writing about not taking our football team for granted…taking stock in the fact that we still have the Bills to cheer for.
It just seemed an appropriate time (the start of Bills Camp) that we should recognize and understand where we stand and savor our football team. Really appreciate the time we have with our favorite team.
I guess (for me) the Bills are almost like a loved one. Cherish them. Don't take them for granted. Appreciate the time we've been given with them.
And back to the original intent of the thread, yes. I'm very excited about 2010. Go Bills!
Well said SJBF. We should cherish our team and enjoy the moment of another Tng. camp. And you're spot-on w/ the Bills being like a loved one to many of us. I think that's in part why some fans get so negative when the team struggles. They want so much for the team to succeed.
So hey, savor the moments.

May your son return safe and sound. God bless him, and you & your wife. Honestly, the Bills are unimportant, compared to this.
Thanks, man. Lots of class.

There's always doom and gloom that one can choose to think about, especially when we go into the world of "what if" and "it's in the realm of possibility". Many of the things that "could happen to the franchise" are things we can't control. So why bother about worrying too much about them. At this moment, our son is on his way for his tour in Afghanistan, so there's lots of doom & gloom my wife & I could put out there all in the name of "it's possibe." Its also possible that he'll return safely. So that's what we choose.
Back to the original post. With the start of Tng camp, here are things I'm certain of w/ this new beginning for the Bills:
We will have better head coaching than we've had in several years.
We will have better game time coaching & adjustments than we've had. This is a huge plus in my book.
Our run-stopping ability will improve.
Once again our defensive backfield will be fun to watch.
Roscoe & other players will be better utilized. (See point #1 above)
Our Special teams will once again be a headache to our opponents.
We will have a good future with our team from here forward. Go Bills!

Some that have not been mentioned. Most of the guys i didn't like came in trades of free agency..never turn on the home grown boys till they leave..then I hate em all
Vince Ferragamo --Now that dude just sucked when he came here
Eddie Robinson --See Chad Pennington, and about 30 other plays that year
Dam, can't remeber his name but D Lineman came from Tampa, lived in Toronto, and just flat out never gave a damn it appeared.
Quinn Early..dude just never appealed to me for some reasom
The third guy you're trying to remember was (not sure of the spelling, here) Chiti Ahonitu. Yea, the arrogance of being limosined in from Toronto. What? Buffalo wasn't good enough? I think that was during the Greg "Air Horn" Willaims era.
Plus, the guy was a journeyman at best as a defenseman.

What you get from ESPN/NFLN/etc is the great group think. If you keep saying something often enough, in sports or politics, it becomes accepted as fact. Also the Bills are such minor players in the NFL world, no one cares about how accurate any statements you make about them really are. That's how the New Orleans Saints win the Super Bowl in a year no one picked them to make the playoffs.
Really this is where the Bills need to be right now. Completely ignored by the media. No distractions going into a grueling, demanding training camp. Chan is going to whip these bums into lean mean football machine, or at least something better than the clown show they have been the last few years.

Thanks for responding. I agree w/ the above insight. RWR

I can't understand why anyone thinks we will be a worse team under Gailey than Jauron. If the Dick(less) Jauron clown show could win 6-7 games, How can the Bills not do better under Chan?
PTR
You got that right, Promo. It seems though, that this logic escapes the great minds of the "experts" at ESPN and NFL Network.

There were dozens of Hank malaprops. He was our Yogi Berra.
You got that write. I was the king of mallowpops. Hank Bullough

Ok Bills fans, here's one I think we can have fun with. Over the past several months, lots of posters here have quoted Jouron's, "It's hard to win in the NFL" when complaining about Jouron, and rightfully so.
So with that in mind, share some of the quotes you remember, be they some of the best ones in Bills history, or the lame ones (see above.)
Any of you remember Hank Bullough?

Chris Johnson
We got to get C. J. inked to a contract.
Go Bills, baby!

Chef, good question, but I think that Ralph doesn't really give a d^@mn about fame & glory. Which is why he's keeping it on the down low. His history shows that over the years when compared to the other AFL/NFL owners, he's a low key guy
