  1. You are kidding me, right? <_<

Look around at every position of the Bills heading into training camp.

    Punter - Great.

    Kicker - Good.

    RB - Good.

    CB - Good.

    Safety - OK to Good.

Special Teams - Always good, with UNBELIEVABLE at Kick Returns.

    Now onto reality:

    QB - !@#$ed

    WR - !@#$ed

    OL - !@#$ed

    TE - !@#$ed

    DL - !@#$ed

    ILB - !@#$ed

    OLB -!@#$ed

What football team do you think we are cheering for here, the Pats or Colts, who have maybe one or two positions that are as

    !@#$ed??

If the Bills are not hit with their annual rash of 15 to 20 IR's, they could hang around .500 all season, maybe making a run at the final wildcard spot right up to the last couple of weeks, based on the apparent emphasis of Gailey's staff regarding training and working harder then the previous coaching staff.

But the Bills still need to become more talented, either by the young guys having a great learning season this year and blossoming, or in next years' free agency / draft. (If they play next year, that is!)

With that being said. The Bills are on the clock. Tick, Tick, Tick

  2. I wholeheartidly disagree. This team hasn't proven a thing in a decade. Teams have made changes, coaching changes, look at the Lions. They haven't gotten anywhere yet. Just because you get a new coach and GM doesn't mean you're gonna do better then 6-10 record. You could actually go down from there. The Dolphins got Bill Parcells. A Proven Winner, that's why they went from 1-15 to the playoffs the following year. The Bills are using a Completely new offense and defensive system than last year. It takes time for personal to adjust and to have the right players involved to make the systems work. Check yer facts! This is is a bad football Team. They have really no place to go but up, but then again, it doesn't always work that way... I'm not making excuses for losing. I'm just saying, there is no proven winner here and there is no way to know we got the right people in place until they start playing come September. If the Team does better then last year, then we know we're probably headed in the right direction...

  3. Bottom line is... we need to find out if this guy is an NFL QB that can command an offense and make it his own. But he has to have the pieces in place. We need to find him a TE and a 2nd and 3rd WR. And the line is a BIG ? esp LT. Sometimes QBs can overcome that. The bigger than life ones. But their ain't too many who can. All the good QBs have a good OL infront of them, and a complement of WRs and RBs and great offensive coordinators who can overcome the shortcomings of personel. Chan has a track record of making average QBs great. I hope that Trent is a great QB and Chan reignites confidence in him, in his system and builds one that works for Trent. We all want him to succeed. We all want the Bills to do well. It'd be great if turns the corner this year and don't have to worry about drafting a QB next year. But it's a big ? alot has to unfold before their anywhere near where we want them to be. Lots of offensive players need to step up. We need a LT to step up. We need a TE to step up. We need the WRs to step up. If he has a great supporting cast, I see us being a good offense. But the jury's out on alot of the supporting cast and Trent as well.

  4. Trust me this team needs to Rebuild. And it may take up to 5 years before this team is even close to competing for the playoffs. With the pending lockout, who knows what's gonna happen to free agency. It could go back to the old school of the 80s or could be like it has been in recent times. If it goes back to the 80s style, it's def gonna be build throught the draft. So if we draft bad, the team won't do anything for many more years. If it goes back to the mid 90s style fa, then we might be able to get it together in 2-3 years. It's gonna take time and patience fans. Rome wasn't built in a day. With an old owner and uncertainty of the collective bargaining agreement, your guess is as good as any until this team ever sees the post season. It's a bad football team and It needs alot of work and patience before these guys will compete with the elite of this league.

  5. We need to have a good front office and good coaching staff to turn this problem around. I've seen too many Rookie QBs have success early, ex. Sanchez, Ryan, Flacco. Alot has to do with Good Defenses helping these guys and some of it is pure talent. Flacco and Ryan didn't have such a great year last year. And Lets see how long Coach Ryan sticks with Sanchez if he goes through the sophomore curse. Is he willing to put his head on the chopping block if he starts losing games because of Sanchez poor play? There are alot of factors but it def takes time and patience for a QB to develop. I personally believe the Bills don't have an answer at QB. I hope Gailey can make something happen. But I'm expecting a long year...

  6. Agreed. Get him now! You only got 1 proven WR in Evans. Not sure why they didn't resign him and Reed for that matter. If they didn't pan out in Training camp, they can cut them then, if someone else steps up. Right now we're hoping and praying someone does.

  7. The only problem with your view, it isn't just Edwards that Kelly's remark is about. There have been several quarterbacks from California who have done well (remember the 3rd and 4th Superbowl losses? Aikman is from California), and Kelly's statement was a slam at any quarterback from that state, not just Edwards or Lossman.

I think Jimbo was referring to the Bills success from what I understand, as was I. There are a lot of great QBs from California. Unfortunately that hasn't worked out for the Bills organization. Lets hope Gailey can get 'er done with Edwards 0:)

  8. I'd consider the season a success if a few of our top two picks establish themselves. The lack of production from the top of the drafts is the biggest reason why they can't win.

    2010

    Spiller- ?

    Troupe ?

    2009

    Maybin- showed very very little

Wood- showed promise but coming off injury

    2008

McKelvin- has flashed talent but hasn't been consistent enough yet. Also coming off injury

Hardy- has shown little and coming off injury

    2007

Lynch- His career in Buffalo is in jeopardy. Talented but stupid/immature

Posluszny- A decent player when healthy but could benefit or regress in the new scheme.

    2006

Whitner- Never lived up to draft position but has been adequate, despite the lack of big plays. Battling for starting position in camp.

McCargo- Bust thus far and not likely to be on the team IMO.

The team needs some of these players to really start producing.

That's the thing. This team has soooo many question marks. That's why this team is ranked 31st going into the season. They have a lot of talent. But none of these guys have proven anything yet. We have no QB, luckily Chan has had success with nobodys. RB we have too much talent. WR you got Evans. Everyone is gonna triple cover him. No other WR has proven a thing yet. TE is another position no one has proven they can be a go to guy yet. The line is a Big ? All the injuries and No legit LT or RT for that matter. I don't care what you say, NO LINE, NO OFFENSIVE PRODUCTION!!!

So I hope all the RB talent will make something happen, but, come on. I think we're joking ourselves if no one steps up. I hope this Coaching staff can make it happen. I want the offense to be successful, but so much work that needs to be done and alot of personal that have to step up.

Defense is another thing. We're switching from 4-3 to 3-4. How much success have other DE had playing OLB??? I'd love to see that list. I honestly can't think of any. But I hope ours can make that transition. Everyone except the secondary is basically playing a new position. This makes the Front seven suspect until they prove otherwise on the field.

We got lots of potential. But this team hasn't proven its going anywhere yet. They got mucho to prove. Hope the players step up and make things happen. Sick of seeing us lose year in and year out. I want the team to win and hopefully 2010 will be the year to make the change to the right direction.

  9. Jim Kelly can say what he feels. Trent Edwards can say what he feels too, but he hasn't done anything yet to prove Jim Kelly wrong. I'm glad to see TE stand up for himself. But I think everyone said what needed to be said. TE needs to prove his worth on the field, not by getting into a war of words with a HALL OF FAME QB.
