Given how Tyrod is playing, do we still feel that the Bills needs to draft a QB with their round 1 pick in the next draft?
CBF
100% YES!!! If Tyrod get's hurt, the team is screwed!!!
-
no he's not a thug. one of the best QB in the NFL
The panthers shouldn't have let the sign in the building. Like cam said you don't see that stuff at lambeau
He's definitely not a thug. He's one of the Best QBs in the league.

I imagine there would be 1000x more fans telling you to STFU than Sammy. But keep showing off your intelligence.
Thank you. I will continue to do so. I appreciate your critique very much by the way. Very stylish and poignant. Appreciations and congratulations to you!!!

Fans to Sammy: Shut up and Play Football!!! When you're a 4x Pro Bowler and a Superbowl champion then we'll take it up the @$$ from you!

If we can get Karlos back next week im all for having him and Shady on the field at the same time. if Roman has a clue split Shady out due to the lack of receivers. As of right now it makes the most sense IMO.
It's probably better than 90% he's not playing and better than 80% he would never have them both on the field at the same time... Not saying it's a bad idea. I just don't think with the injuries, he's going to put them both out there at the same time.
-
Kiko is damaged goods.
So is about 30% of the Bills team, including Shady...

DONE WITH
Percy Harvin
I thought he was worth taking a flyer on, now with the personal issues and injury I say move on, cut our losses, and open up the roster spot. He's had too many issues now to dismiss it as nothing. He's not that great when he's actually playing either. One of these guys that has a few decent games during the season, and disappears for the others. Pleny of them floating around for a lot less and without the baggage.
ON THE BUBBLE
Goodwin
- I love how he stretches the defense when he's healthy. Which unfortunately isn't often enough. Could be time to cut our losses and commit the roster spot to someone who can stay healthy and is worth developing.
Carpenter
- weak leg + on and off accuracy issues = lethal combination. Get it fixed or get out.
Robert Woods
- Is he really a legit #2 WR? Plays more like a 3rd or 4th alternative on a team with a quality WR corp. Not too expensive to keep, but is it worth not getting a real #2 here, especially with Watkins injury prone nature?
Boobie Dixon
- he better make the pro bowl at special teams to justify his poor performance out of the backfield.
I'm pretty much done with this whole team. Overhyped and no ass! Little discipline. Championship teams find a way to win. Too many selfish players and loudmouth HC.
The Makings of a Championship team!!!!
End of RANT!

Serious question: in 2011, Ryan Fitzpatrick signed his 6 year/$59 million contract extension which would take him through the 2016 season as the Bills starter. Since then, we've been through Fitz, EJ, Kyle Orton, Tyrod Taylor ... and maybe EJ again for a while. What if we'd just let that contract play out? Would we be better or worse off right now? I'm going to have to say better off, since a whole cascade of other events likely wouldn't have happened: drafting EJ, making the Sammy Watkins trade, bringing in Rex Ryan, getting stuck for several years with guaranteed Fitzy dead money that could have been applied to other needs.
Easy to dismiss the question with an eye roll emoji, but seriously: what's the argument for exactly how we're better off now -- and maybe more importantly, in 2017 and on -- than we would have been if we'd just let that contract play out? Remember, Fitzy and the Texans beat us last year, and Fitzy's Jets are 4-1 this year. No, he hasn't gone to the playoffs, but unless I missed it, neither have the Bills ...
Fitz started out really good and in 2011. He fizzed out and so did the Bills...
Prediction: He will fizz out in 2015 as well. He cannot play 16 games/year. He is NOT a Starting QB. Thinking anything more than that is borderline psychotic.

EJ is a nice guy but a terrible QB, I'd be supposed if he was still in the league in 3 years.
Agreed. I doubt he will be unless he somehow learns how to the an NFL caliber QB overnight...
-
Sorry. I just have zero faith in Rex Ryan.
Right now, I don't think the team has faith in Rex.
haha-- well said. They have to beat Jax.
They don't have to beat Jax. They're a younger and hungrier team than the Bills. I wouldn't be surprised to lose this game.
The Bills are a 7-9 team at best right now unless they drastically turn it around. It couldn't be a better game for the Bills this week to go out at completely dominate this opponent. It comes down to coaching and players buying into a system and making the necessary plays to win football games.
I don't see this team going "above and beyond" to make plays that are needed to win football games right now. There seems to be a lot of selfishness and pride overlooking the details and not enough discipline by both the players and coaches to win football games. It seems like we just go out there and whatever happens, happens.

He's been an idiot in front of the mic since he got here.
How so? He's been one of the most respectful people we brought here since he got here. GIVE HIM THE BALL ALREADY!!! End of Story... Move along...
-
Since we pretty much know the Pats are going to run away with another division title, let's keep track of the teams that we need to keep pace with to get that playoff spot. We don't necessarily have to list all the standings but maybe news about teams that are better than we thought (Cinci for me) or the teams that or not playing that well (Ravens).
Right now, the teams I feel will be in the race are Pitt/Baltimore/Cinci and San Diego/Denver
It's only Week 3 of the season. I don't even think about this until Thanksgiving...
-
Not so impressive now.
Hard to say, due to it being the first game of the season and all the hype. The Colts started 2014 season 0-2, won the division and went to the Championship game, so as it may not seem impressive now, it's more of a wait and see how this season plays out.
-
@SethWalderNYDN: Bowles said Ryan Fitzpatrick is the QB right now, regardless of Geno is healthy or not.
Cool story bro! Let me know how that working for you in December!
-
I say pursue the Cowboys for a first rounder or 2nd and 3rd rounder as it might be worth it to the boys and allow us to utilize EJ as the backup or maybe future starter as well as giving us some leeway next year in the draft as it seems like we have a surplus at QB perhaps.
That worked out well huh? I can't wait for our first rounder next yea... oh wait. We got $hit back for trading him. Bad Move Bills! Bad Move!!!
-
I expect a loss unfortunately.
If that happens, I don't expect playoffs
-
Good. Hoyer looked god awful.
Skins need to do the same with Kirk Cousins.
That stinks. I hope they put Hoyer back in when we play them...
-
Have you noticed how much national attention the Bills are getting? ESPN, PTI, Around The Horn, Mike & Mike, First Take? Rex's midweek pressers on live TV? SportsCenter @ RWS? This Sunday's game is being treated like the game of the early season. It's Rex. It's Tyrod. It's the defense. How great is this?
Yeah, for one week. Let's see if they can keep it up...
-
I thINk all skepticism is warranted until he shows what he can do in the regular season. Did any of us expect outsiders to be excited about Tyrod Talor?
My thoughts exactly. The Bills are historically a losing team until they prove otherwise. Just WIN BABY!!! and that perception goes away...
-
This post is not to suggest that Taylor is the starter for week 1 because we simply won't know for sure who it is until Rex actually announces it.
But, regardless of who does actually end up starting, Indy is going to have to try to be prepared for the possibility that it might be Tyrod Taylor.
And my question is - How does Indy game plan for Taylor? What would you do if you had to try to stop him?
I actually predict this game to be a shoot out. Unfortunately, I feel Mr. Luck will get the upperhand...
-
From @Mitch_Courtney1: Hearing from a source close to the situation that the Bills will part ways with Matt Cassel in favor of EJ Manuel as early as Friday
This guy doesn't have any obvious connections, so take it FWIW.
I really wouldn't be surprised. They'd save $4M in cap space. EJ looked good in Pre-season.
-
You're a little late, that's been being called since the Steeler's game.
Even though I'm an EJ Manuel guy, I'm good with Taylor starting and Manuel as the backup.
RGIII may be an option as well as it appears his days in Washington are over...
-
...according to Jay Glazer. Thoughts?
Calling it right now... Cassel will be cut!
EJ deserves time on the field with first team offense.
