  1. Pro Football Focus has called Legursky the worst lineman in the NFL in I believe 2010 and 2011. He probably isnt an upgrade.....

    ok they didnt say worst

"If he gets it lets just hope the starters dont get injured, less Buffalo sees some of what blighted his stay in Pittsburgh, where he was always among our lowest graded players. Take 2010 for example, where, despite starting in a Super Bowl, he earned a -16.3 on his 449 snaps, followed by a -9.6 on 609 snaps in 2011, and lastly a -10.5 on 417 snaps last year."

  2. Go ahead and count for me the number of snaps that Mario is double teamed. Got new for you, this is the NFL and moving the LT back does not do much in disrupting an NFL quarterback. There is still a pocket to step into. It only counts if you create a pressure or a sack. Kyle Williams appears on that list in years when he didn't play with Mario Williams and Dareus was supposed to be a powerhouse inside. Most 4-3 tackles are not doubled every play so you should be able to whip a guard often enough to appear on that list.

No, that would be your own overreaction and jumping to conclusions. I simply stated that Mario should be actually producing for what he is being paid.

I am not going to count anything for you, this is your opinion go ahead and support it with facts..... Ngata is doubled a lot and if we didnt have mario kyle williams would be doubled a lot but because of marios presence they ant afford to double one of our interior lineman. Read the MMQB analysis. You are way off base here, Mario has been a force this year.

  3. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even when it is wrong. Are you implying that Mario Williams was more effective than Suggs in that game? That is pretty astonishing considering Mario had one sack where he chased the QB out of bounds because nothing was open.

We can revisit this at the end of the year and you can eat your hat. If I am wrong then I'll eat mine.

You already are wrong. Mario has been pushing the line back each and every game, he has been incredibly effective. When he hasnt been he has drawn double teams and even fought some of those off for pressures leading to other guys getting sacks.

Also if you didnt notive both of our interior lineman are on the top 15 list for their position and if you dont think that is directly related to Mario drawing two blockers you are crazy.

Also notice how Ngata isnt on that list with baltimore and realize that is helping to free up dumervil and suggs. Both defenses have great pass rushers and teams are forced to choose who they want to let beat them for baltimore they choose to double Ngata and have the outside guys beat them for us they double mario and allow Dareus and Kyle to beat them.

  4. Day 2-3 Picks? What do you think?

    2a - Ta'o, ILB, Notre Dame

    2b - Ertz, TE Stanford

3 - Williams, WR, Baylor (Don’t think Allen will be around at in Rd 3)

4 - CB Tyrann Mathieu (Take a Chance, Live on the Edge!, Plus it’s a need!)

    5-7 BPA

This is the dream scenario..... in this case we might actually pull 5 starters out of the draft

  5. It is very sad that two linebackers closer to 40 who played on this team ten years ago would easily be starters on this squad. With Spikes and Fletcher our defense would be a lot better than it is now.

Not only is Fletcher better, Poz would start for us and be an improvement now. Whitner also made the pro bowl. Why is it whenever anybodys contract is up, he's not worth the money. Wake up! That's why they draft all these running backs, when we have so many other needs. They know they can't resign them in a competitive market.

If we kept some of the players they let walk we'd have a playoff team by now (of course I'm assuming quality coaching.... never mind).

Whitner does not belong in this argument. He was average when he was here but he really came into his own in the 49ers scheme and it allowed him to become a pro bowl safety. He did not play like that here.

  6. Held Texans to lowest total points at home this year. No they werent perfect but they kept is close enough long to give bills a chance. No bitching about D this time.

This comes down to the same crap on offense:

    - Chan inexplicably abandoning strength running the ball

    - fitz limitations.

This is exactly it, but you can win with Fitz. You just need to run the ball more! I dont understand this !@#$ing team, and we needed to go for the touchdown in the first half instead of kicking the first of two field goals. You need to take a chance there. I hate this play calling and I hate the fact that we are averaging over 4 yards a carry yet still throwing the ball 40 times.

  7. this is what i mean. "thigpen? really?"

you know for an absolute, 100%, book it, put it in ink, tattoo it on your forehead, lock it down, rack it fact that fitzpatrick is NOT the answer.

therefor, its time to bench him.

thigpen would not do any worse.

this "genius" playbook that were running has been good for 13-27 over the last 3 years, and fitz gets all his yards on screens and slants.

there isnt a d1 quarterback, much less a pro quarterback, who couldnt make these throws.

it is absolutely disgusting how bad ryan fitzpatrick is--i dont think people are comprehending how good our offense could be without him.

ANYONE could make the throws he makes, and the difference is, fitzy CANT make the throws that most qbs can.

he needs to go. immediately. he needs to be benched.

Thigpen is terrible, this is a horrible idea. At least we kept it close this game, with thigpen in there it would have been horrible. Ride Fitz until week 11 and then see what TJAX can do the rest of the season. I liked him a lot in Minnesota and still have a friend that is a lifelong vikings fan that wishes he was in minnesota still and that they wouldnt have gone with favre or ponder.

  8. speaking of condescending blowhards, i see no real reason to take your advice, to take you seriously or treat you with any iota of respect, given the lack of respect you have for others.

to start off issuing your deepest sympathies and then follow with a putdown is yet again shameless, because it's quite evident your deepest sympathies mean squat, that you're just speaking out of one corner of your mouth while farting out the other side.

so go advise yourself when it comes to treating people with respect, rather than making obtuse attempts at humor in a thread where there is no room for it. grow up.

I am sorry that Jerry is dealing with family issues and I hope his family is doing better but that doesnt change my opinion of him as a sports writer. I dont know him and I am sure he is a nice guy and I would never wish ill on him or his family.

I came here to discuss his latest Bills article on MArio Williams, his personal fridge in his locker and his lack of media appearances during the week, as is common in his columns, Jerry complains about countless things and it seems like he is upset that he doesnt get the chance to ask MArio more questions throughout the week, a luxury afforded to many players in the league. I also didnt appreciate his treatment and questioning of guys playing with injuries, one second he is calling the guys "warriors" playing through the pain and then he questions Mario about doing it? So I guess because he is so highly paid he can not be a warrior in Jerrys mind.

Well reading back the other JW is obviously an idiot, my apologies to Wawrow as he was just putting a half wit in his place
