  1. Why is it that everyone keeps putting Marino in the top five and leaving out Kelly? I saw them head to head on many occasions and in each and every game Kelly outperformed Marino. He was clearly the better QB between the two. Marino has numbers because he played his entire career in the NFL where Kelly had that USFL stint. I think Marino was a great QB, but if you include him in the top 5, Kelly has at least got to be in the discussion.

I usually use Marino as my last QB in the top group and Kelly as the first QB in the next group. Marino makes it by a hair just because of all the records he set.

  2. In this situation we can take TE or WR with that first rounder, grab a LB with Cleveland's 2nd then grab offensive line with our 2nd and their third.

its probably pretty close to right. by the outdated chart its actually cleveland giving up too much.

actually it would be more beneficial for cleveland now. Since back then you would end up paying pick 9 as much and probably more than the other three picks combined. With the cap it isnt that much of a distortion.

  3. It's not a shot to be taken personally and I appreciate your continued informed contributions to this community.

My point is that cutting Rogers had nothing to do with Chris Hogan. It wasn't a choice between Rogers and Hogan. It came down to Rogers and Kaufman.

Additionally, and although Rogers didn't prove it on the field and in the classroom when he had the chance, it's not always a question of keeping the better player. It's a question of keeping the better player for your team. That's a coach's prerogative. It's unfortunate that simple age-old idea gets lost today.

But it will never change as long as there are coaches that need to make personnel decisions for their teams.

    GO BILLS!!!

    One would think.

    Then again...

    GO BILLS!!!

    They shouldnt have kept hogan.

  4. This Florida State team is one of the deepest and most talented teams in College Football history. They will have many first round picks and a huge number of future NFL players. The offensive line was better, the running backs were better and the receivers were better. Not to mention the defense was plain scary with a huge group of talent and future pros. At that age a year of maturation and hitting the weight room makes a HUGE difference. FSU was very good last year with EJ but the entire team was improved this year.

  5. Yes, but Rogers could not beat those guys out in camp!! If he could they would have kept him. He showed absolutely nothing in camp but he should have had a roster spot?

Some of you guys are acting like he made the pro-bowl with his 14 receptions.

You know he will probably finish this season with more catches than Chris Hogan has in his entire life past high school.

  6. This is the worst argument ever! Jerry Sullivan is all over this and that is how I know it is so bad. When he ran out of bounds on a negative play when we were killing clock it was pretty dumb and that is what started this IMO. But going out of bounds after a 15 yard gain when a safety and a Cb are coming at you is just the way small fast RBs play. He isnt Fred and he isnt AP.

  7. Why does this keep coming up? I don't understand...I REALLY don't understand it...

Because a "draft expert" said it during the draft and he was wrong but for some reason we think he might be right about one half of what he said. He said Cordy couldnt play tackle and didnt have the feet for it but would make a great guard.....Well he was wrong and we will never see if he is a good guard because he is an excellent LT

  8. Yes, the Bills did not adequately replace Levitre. The point to this thread was from what I saw on NFLN earlier in the year, when Mike Mayock stated that he felt if the Bills moved Glenn to LG, he could easily be one of the best Guard's in the league. I was on the fence with that idea as Glenn has been a very solid LT for the Bills, but if the Bills drafted a LT in either rounds 1 or 2 (and not a 7th round or UDFA like they tried in years past and failed miserably with), would be it a good idea to make the switch? It's obvious that the majority of fans think it would be a bad idea, while some think it would be a good idea.

So, you think it's funny that one of the best LB's in Bills history only went to 2 probowls? I'm sure Darryl Talley wouldn't agree with your sense of humor!

you continually bring up things and are proven wrong. Should he have went to more? possibly? but he did go to two. So your "popularity contest" rightfully awarded him 2 times

  9. The crazy thing right now is to say "he is not injury prone"....uuuummmm....yes he is! Brady, Manning, Brees, Rivers, all the great and good QB's, even Eli...lol...have not missed a snap this season. In fact, other than the major injuries where Brady, Manning, Brees, missed the season, they don't get hurt! Favre played like 18 years b4 missing a game. I know that was crazy, but still. He's our "franchise" QB, who has missed 5 games this season I believe, and if you count the 2nd half of the Browns game, 5.5. Throw in the Pre-season because yea, he wasn't healthy enough to play, so 7.5 games he has been hurt. To say that he just needs a whole off season to heal...okay so he does. then come next year takes another shot to the knees, which he will, he goes out again?!?! we need to draft another QB, preferably Johnny Football, keep EJ and Thad, both have proven they can win, see how EJ does and then if we have another rookie, see how he does if and when EJ goes down. Or if that rookie proves to be decent enough to start give him a shot, if that doesn't work you have EJ or Thad to try and develop as well. Maybe throw in a decent vet like Schaub or Vick, he would fit perfectally with our other QB's. Thad, EJ, Vick tend to get hurt but all kind of same. just insert QB and keep playing, between the 3 should be able to finish the season.

So we are throwing out any times that players miss entire seasons but counting smaller batches of games where EJ gets hurt? That doesnt make much sense.

  10. I think the Senior Bowl will be a big week for him. Let's see how he does against these SEC and PAC-12 guys

He will be just fine. That ohio state o line was supposed to be one of the better ones in the country. It was a really close game as well and if it wasnt for a crappy hands to the face penalty on mack on a play where he sack fumbled the QB and the defense scored a TD they might have beat them.

  11. I'm not. I think it's super risky to take a guy that high who doesn't play against top competition. I'm not saying he's not all he's cracked up to be but when you are playing Toledo and Akron it's easy to look good. The top pick last year was from the MAC and he was a bust. I think if you are drafting someone that high it should be a sure thing

Mack is as sure as it gets for a linebacker. He tore up Ohio State on National TV. That is quality competition. He also broke multiple NCAA records.
