  1. Love it. 3 days before the draft and everyone is bashing these QBs. Greg Gabriel think Newton is the only guy worth taking a shot at in the 1st.

I so hope we land an OT/TE in the top of the 2nd, sick of hearing about these QBs. Gabbert was straight up ethered.

  2. I love it how someone posting that they think Miller could be moved inside turns into a OBD bash-fest for the Bills "planning" to do that. We've got people bashing the team for hypothetically moving a guy we haven't drafted to a position no one has even hinted he'd be moved to.

I can do this too: OMg, teh Bills are teh suxors! They are planning to move draft Nick Fairley and move him to CB. What a bunch of idiots we have running this team.

Right, when I made the post it was pure speculation on my part. It was based partly on roster makeup, on statements made by scouts last year, and on the belief of many draft experts that Miller has the tools to be good in coverage. He was moved around in A&M's front this past season, against Nebraska his was running Mike blitz stunts, so he was at the MLB position.

Never expected my comments to blow up and cause such a raucous. Our fanbase is passionate, sometimes a bit too passionate.

  3. Real talk, I can easily see them moving him to inside linebacker. Right now the roster has Coleman/Batten/Moats/Maybin/Merriman/Kelsay at the DE/OLB position. Now lets look at MLB, Poz & Davis, that's it. IF they draft Von, he's going to play inside and move outside on passing downs, also see a few of the OLB/DE I listed being cut at some point.

Last year the Bills scouts, post-draft interview, revealed that Jerry Hughes was a guy who they felt could play OLB or ILB. He was strictly an edge rusher in college, but they believed his athleticism would help him convert to any LB position. Just another perspective on what they may be thinking.

  4. Great info. Edwards was pegged as the Gators DC last season, now the Florida OC is breaking down his D, funny how quickly things change.

Edwards is a 2 Deep man under guy (Cover 5), he doesn't like bringing the safety down. Not sure what this says about him or our corners (is he not comfortable with leaving them on island).

If you go back and watch the Vikings game, we stuffed Peterson for a good quarter and a half. Stacked the box with 8 and did a good job containing him. Then Rice started abusing McKelvin, they dropped a safety over the top, and Peterson started to churn yards.

  5. Well, if Adam Schefter is reporting it then it's definitely true!

How many times has this guy been wrong on anything Bills related? He's fallen off ever since joining the ESPN crew, dude doesn't have a clue what Nix & Co will do.

Was Schefter predicting Spiller last year, highly doubt it.

Talk about chicken little, speculation does not equal fact.

  6. Good thing the Bills pick infront of the Bengals in round 2.

    Ponder #34 wouldn't be a bad choice.

Yeah, but the Pats pick ahead of the Bills, and we all know how eager Billy Boy is to trade down. If he can swap places with the Bengals, screw the Bills out of a QB, and pick up an additional pick he'll do it in a heartbeat.

  7. Another player I have noticed is OLB Courtney Upshaw (#41). He seems to be in on every play, and is known to be a good hitter. He's big too (6'2" 263). Anyone know anything else about this guy? I know he's a junior...wonder if he will enter the draft?

Every time I watch Bama, he's making a play. Like him too. Game is a blow out, Dareus had two great quarters. Julio Jones is looking good too.

  8. I don't understand why the fans have to shred Fitzpatrick just to prove we need a QB. Yes, this team needs to draft and develop a QB. In the meantime Fitzpatrick is a decent stop gap until we draft one. Wouldn't be surprised if Fitz started the season next year at QB even if we do draft a QB.

Stop shitting on the guy, he's giving us all he has.

  9. Merriman had 29.5 sacks in 28 games after being suspended for steroid use, then he blew out his knee. Since the NFL doesn't test for HGH, he could still be on something. His knee, and other ailments, are the biggest problem. If he was healthy he'd be productive. Can't do a thing when you don't have your legs.

  10. Maybin road his 11 sacks to a big pay day, he was 20 when he declared for the draft. Never should have come out but money was his biggest motivator. He'll turn 23 next year, about the same age as most kids drafted in '11. I'd give him one more year. Look at guys like Cameron Wake or James Harrison, late bloomers.

Looking at Maybin, he doesn't have an ounce of pass rushing talent when he steps on the field. Then I remember his age, and the fact he came out way too early. Regardless, he probably has another training camp to show what he's got before getting the ax.
