Someone struck a nerve....
I guess you served him some crow, nice job!
-
He wasn't shying away from contact until he was absolutely leveled during the Cowboys/Miami games. Fitz got him killed and now he's a bit more hesitant.
-
I really think we'll turn the corner in the next year or so, we need a couple of more drafts and we should be headed in the right direction.
-
Dude, if you think a fine young quarterback provided the "lift" that started Cincy down the right road, I'm afraid we don't have too much to discuss.
Cincy D #6 in the NFL. Rams # 23. Dalton ain't out there making tackles, and he's not catching his own throws, either. He might be the final coat of polish on the engine, he's not the lift that started the train.
I tend to think Von Miller has at least as much to do with Denver's success as Tebow. I'm also not sure you can call Tebow a talented QB exactly.
He's a force of nature, for sure. But if the Denver D wasn't keeping them in the game, he wouldn't matter (see Newton, Cam)
I'm fine with visiting Denver tho - the scenery is much finer than Cincy.
Denver almost lost today because Miller was out, they looked like a different team without him. Too bad the Vikings D is ****.

Worst post ever on this forum (at least as of late). The guy has finally shown even a little bit of anything as a weapon on this team and you think it's "diluting" his play. You've got to be kidding me. Early in the year we used Smith a few times a game at that horrible excuse for an offensive gimmick and he did nothing more than gain a few measley yards and first downs. Nothing more Than a handoff wouldn't accomplish at least 50% of the time. We tried a pass out of it once and the ball was so far off target the sideline almost had no shot at the catch. Wildcat offensive plays are a joke in this league. If they occassionally give Smith a shot at a reverse or pass from the reverse it would be fine but without him in as a WR there is no possible thought at fooling the defenses we play. He is the closest thing we have had at a 2nd WR this year and is getting better as he gets more playing time. We need to see if he can fill this need before going into the draft and offseason. It COULD be one less player of need that we would have to draft. You sir are very dilusional if you think we are wasting his skills now after the first 10 weeks of Absolutely nothing. He's finally getting the hang of being a part of this team.
Nailed it.
The losing is bringing back the madness.

Well, the author, Jon Dove, "has completed a scouting training course run by the national football post’s Wes Bunting", so I guess he ought to know.
HAHAHAHA
It's the Bleacher Report, nuff said.
-
He's seeing consistent playing time at WR, having success, and yet you're not satisfied. I'm actually more hopeful for him now than I was when they first inked him to a deal. If Fitz hit him on that deep ball in 1st half, he would've gone for over 100 yards, he torched that corner.
I guess you want more gimmicks, I'm fine with that stuff when you're ahead and not trailing. Can't take those risks when you're down.
-
Stop. He dropped a crucial pass and went down if an opponent sneezed. Be serious please.
LOL
Are you serious with the Upshaw talk? A guy with very little athletic ability, who only managed 7 sacks while playing against pathetic competition. You're the same guy who bashed Von Miller during the draft process, should we go back and look at how off you were with Miller? Your opinion is no better than his. Get real, please.
Like someone said, you have an axe to grind. If Spiller went for 300 with 5 TDs it still wouldn't have swayed you, "one game, blah blah blah."
-
Spiller is a LOSER. He showed it when the ball was stripped and he was crying on the sidelines. He showed it when he gets turned back at the first down marker and did not make the first down. He has no heart for this game. He is a loser as is the rest of this team. Fitz should shave that beard and get serious about the game no try to cultivate some weirdo cult image. This team spews DJ all over again.
HAHAHA
Speaking of loser....
You're going to have an aneurysm, take a deep breath loser.
-
I didn't like the Williams pick either, but you know what, he's looked damn good the last two weeks. Too bad he got hurt today, guy played a good game. If we had a pass rush Sanchez doesn't break contain, and Williams doesn't lose his man.
-
Ryan Tannehill is the second best QB prospect, he has looked way better than Jones, Barkely and RG3 who he destroyed in head to head competition.
Does RG3 play defense? Outside of one bad throw RGIII played great against A&M. Shame his defense is atrocious, Baylor has to drop 40+ points just to have a shot with how poor that D plays. Tannehill came out on top, but he has the better overall team.
-
Good post, can't disagree with what you said.
-
Searcy may be a find in the 4th, besides his one missed assignment he looked good, really good for a rookie with only one game under his belt.
-
It's hard to be much a factor when your 1st round DT, and #3 overall pick is being engulfed all game long. Linebackers are only as good as their DL.
Dareus looked like Glenn Dorsey today.
-
He's a solid player but nothing amazing, we'll have a top 10 pick and we aren't taking him that high.
Just not athletic enough, but he's well rounded.
-
The issue I see with you is paragraphs, use them. ;P
-
Not a fan of Upshaw to be honest. Guy averages half a sack and that's in the SEC, where most tackles aren't very good. No real explosiveness, solid players but won't be dominate. Burfict is the type of player that falls to teams like the Ravens and Steelers. They'll correct his issues and watch him become a dominant player in the league. Ngata had motivation issues, look at him now.
Not a fan of many of the LBs to be honest, but the guy with the most upside is Burfict imo. Hightower hasn't been the same since his knee injury, lost a lot of his speed/explosiveness.
Edit: Another guy with good explosiveness is West Virginia DE Bruce Irvin, hasn't done much this year but I don't think they use him properly and neither would George Edwards. West Virginia rushes 3, they really don't blitz him from a 2 pt stance.
-
Dareus is only 22 to boot, he's not Suh, but he'll get better. Too soon to tell with any of these guys, why make an issue over the '11 draft right now? I'm sure Peterson will develop into a fine CB, he's just not there right now.
BJ Raji didn't even play his first year in the league, and he came out as a Senior, not a Junior like Marcell. Give the a guy a break, for now anyway.
-
lol it's always something. oh the guy next to him is hurt! his leg is sore!
peterson and green, both picked after him, and BOTH at positions of HUGE need, look like superstars. nix blows.
Peterson has played like flat out garbage @ the CB position. Yeah, he's getting on TV because of punt return TDs, but when he's asked to cover he gets destroyed. Nicks and Crabtree ate him up.
I'm sure you would've been jumping for joy if they took Green.
Educate yourself. Where's Peterson on that list. Guy has done nothing besides contribute to special teams.
Dareus has hit a wall, 10 games is about what they play in college. Hasn't been amazing but you're acting like he's washed up after 10 games.
-
I was very wrong about Von Miller. I was right about Cam Newton and wanted the Bills to take him if he were there. As for Dareus, I wanted Robert Quinn instead. He has shown promise in his rookie year. Dareus has shown me little this year to get excited about.
Looking back now, as crazy as it sounds, I think the Bills probably should have took Green at that spot. It seems that no matter where the Bills pick is, they just miss out on the player best suited for them. In this case it was both Newton and Miller.
Quinn's been a colossal failure so far, not sure what promise you see in Quinn when he barely sees the field. CJ Ah You gets more snaps than Quinn.
Green was a sure fire stud, but the entire fanbase would've revolted, you probably would've been in that group. How could anyone want Quinn over Von Miller, look at the body of work.
Dareus is hitting a wall, but he's been good, he won't be a sack master, that's not his forte.
-
Id like to get a guy like Dom Capers who schemse and blitzes and stuff. we are vanilla and we suck
Yeah, but Dom Capers is one of a kind. Can you name anyone that's even close to him, you'll probably have to settle for one of his assistants.
I'll be fine with Mangini to be honest, but I doubt they do it.
-
Every fan wanted Dareus. It only took 11 weeks but I'm sure everyone will be writing him off as just another bust by week 17.
Pathetic fanbase, hope the team moves.
-
11) Chandler is a football player. I like this guy more week after week. They should call up his agent tonight and offer him a long term contract.
I thought he was a golfer, thanks for the reminder!
All kidding aside, I thought Searcy had a very good game for a rookie in his first start. Also thought Troup played well at PoA.
-
Smith can be cut and we won't take much of a hit, good luck getting rid of those ****ty hockey contracts.
Hockey > football when it comes to contract, you always have proper recourse in football, just cut him and take a small hit, don't have to pay out the entire thing.

Not a fan. I think his long term position is ILB in a 3-4, he won't be able to stay with TE's and he's an average pass rusher. Very little explosiveness, we need to find a guy like Aldon Smith.
Upshaw can definitely set the edge against the run, but he's going to have to cover TE's at some point and he'll be exposed.
