  1. I agree with the posters that stated he's a good player but not an impact player. Still he has a great motor, has produced, and can be a solid contributor. However, like JM mentioned, if he's the only pass rusher we add he won't make a lick of difference. They'll key on him and shut him down. He would be a good complimentary player/pass rusher, but won't be an Aldon Smith. Definitely is a safe pick, as was Dareus.

  2. LSU DL is amazing.

Not sure how we're strong on the DL when we were one of the worst teams in football against the run. Yeah, we didn't have Kyle, but we also didn't have depth. No one behind to step up. A trio of Brockers, Dareus, Williams would be killer. Won't get past the Panthers though.

  3. If Upshaw is in fact gone then i would take either Hightower or Mercilus with the pick & if Buddy was really going to go LT i would go with the kid from stanford b/c any thing i've read says that Reiff is going to be a good RT but not as good at LT in the NFL !!

Why don't you read the article I posted about Reiff, from someone who actually worked in the NFL for a couple of decades, contradicts what you've read.

Here's his thoughts on Martin and DeCastro.

  4. Really....and how do you know this? IMO...Kalil is the only OT worth taking in the top 10, and he will obviously be long gone by #10. Reiff is an impressive OT prospect, but he is not without weaknesses. He appears to be excellent at run blocking, and seems to do a decent job protecting the edge against speed rushers. I question his footwork, however, as he seems to have trouble pass blocking when the rusher makes a move to the inside. Not saying that technique issues such as this cannot be corrected, but declaring Reiff an all-pro? I think that's a bit of a leap.

    Lololololololol

You call him out for his prognostication, and then you go on to offer your own.

Here's someone who would know, and he feels Reiff is a better prospect than Kalil.

  5. That trade could go down as one of the worst of the decade, and I know it allowed Buffalo to select Eric Wood.

Teams don't deal All-Pro OT's for draft picks. Unless they're looking to dump salary and have maligned the player in advance to make said deal more palatable to a fan base.

Meanwhile, Peters is 1st Team All-Pro in 2011 by a wide margin and the Bills are debating whether to sign an oft-injured type or start a bad bodied 2nd year man more suited to the right side.

You're forgetting the part where Peters played out of shape. You can go around saying that the org painted him as a malcontent but the results were clear to anyone. He came in out of shape and played like an absolute dog, and this is only a year after he received an extension.

The real problem was Walker and Dockery, especially Dock. Both were making more money and he was outplaying both after just receiving a marginal extension. Dockery was in his ear telling him how underpaid and under appreciated he was, and Peters decided to act on it.

Instead of blaming his representation/agent for getting him an absolute dog **** contract, he took it out on the team. His agent should've never accepted the meek contract extension, should've negotiated better terms, and Peters never would've gone to the lengths he did to get out of Buffalo. Peters didn't point the finger at his agent for failing to get proper value on his first contract, he pointed it straight at the Bills. Not their fault his rep was ****, all the agent wanted was a new contract because that's how he gets paid.

His agent !@#$ed him to begin with, got his check, and then told his client to hold out and ask for more money. Another/newer contract means another fat check for the agent. Point the blame at the greedy agent for turning Peters into the malcontent twat he became.

It's good that Peters is finally living up to his full potential, finally earning the money, and finally making the all pro team. Only took 3 years after he signed that huge extension. People also fail to mention how the Eagles brought in Mudd, a stern coach, just to whip his ass back into proper form.

  6. ex-scout on the top two tackles.

If the best player is Rieff you pull the trigger at ten. Everyone keeps yapping about pass rushers but no mentions the elephant in the room, most of the class ****. No Von Miller, no Aldon Smith, not even a JJ Watt. None of the pass rushers are close to any of these guys. Why reach for a guy just for the sake of taking one. That's how you end up with the McKelvins and Maybins of the world.

  7. **** coach, won't sniff another job this year unless his father brings him along.

Lol @ being the QB coach for Brees and Rivers comment, a sack of potatoes couldve coached those two with the same results. Schotty gets a pass on Sanchez because he's inept QB, but gets credit for Brees and Rivers because they're actually capable, makes sense.....lol

I'm not bashing the guy because he snubbed the Bills, I was glad he did, but because he's terrible at his job. He's been OC since Pennington was QB and hasn't done **** with that offense. I live in NYC and unfortunately watch all Jets games, this guy was hated more than Jauron down here, they loathe him that much.

  8. Your posts are predictable at this point.

Slight CJ, raise Dareus as the next coming, fill in the rest of the game. Where was Dareus in the second half? If CJ is a situational player, Dareus is a situational contributor. Flash for a few plays and then disappear.

Next year title these threads Bill's preconceived thoughts about the game. You couldn't be anymore transparent, might as well make it known In the thread title.

Edit: Every week Fitz is hurt according to Bill, what insight.

  9. There's a difference with letting someone go because of money, Ralph mainly being cheap, and dumping a player because you no longer feels he contributes enough or is a problem in the locker room.

McGahee didn't even stay in Buffalo on Mondays, dude would fly down to Miami. How many 1000 yard seasons did he have with the Ravens? All of one, and that after receiving a big contract. Lynch and McGahee got themselves traded, Peters wanted money the org didn't want to pay.

I don't give a flying !@#$ that they let McScrub and Lynch go, never wanted them drafted, both were reaches IMO. Guys like Fletcher, Williams, and Greer should've been kept because they were good football players, and great leaders too. Don't lump one group with the other, not fair to guys like Greer.

  10. Lynch was a sunk cost, you weren't going to get equal value for him, he wasnt an elite player and it was clear that he wasn't going to be resigned given his history.

We actually got something for him, instead of letting him walk for nothing. His NFL production was mediocre, his teammates have come out and said he was out of shape when he was here. Sunk cost, move on and give someone else the reps, good thing we did. Fred shined without Lynch leaching reps, better player won out.
