  1. With the consistent chatter about "let's trade this guy for a draft pick" I wondered just what our name players are worth. My conclusion: not much. Per my estimation the only one worth a 1st round is Byrd, only one worth a 2nd is Evans, a few worth a 3rd (Schoebel, McGee, Poz and LeVitre) and the bulk worth 4th at best (with most realistically not worth anywhere near that much.)

It's based on other teams needs of course. I see Bears trading a 1st for Evans as they need a proven deep threat to go with Cutlers strong arm.

Schoebel my best guess doesn't get a 3rd because of his age and chronic threats of retirement, and because he likely only agrees to a Texas team near his home, wherein both Cowbiys and Texans get consistent pressure from the rigth side and don't really need him. Sad how our 1st from last year Maybin gets nada (ok, maybe a 5th.)

  2. Overall, I agree the refs were good -at being invisible.

They had a serious gaff, though, on the on-sides kick IMO. An Indy player clearly had the ball on the ground, behind a Saints players' legs. The refs let the situation get out of hand and had no choice but to award possesion to the last guy they saw with the ball after the scrum unfolded. Had it been replayed, I think Indy gets possesion.

Critcal play as N.O. scored to end the 1st half, then scored to open the 2nd.

possession had not been established, these things always turn into a scrum..

however i did see what looked like a clip on manning on the pick, but the images were brief

  3. Right after the game on Twitter:

AaronMaybin58 - Liv is about to be crazy tonight. LET'S GO!!!!!!!!

Me - @AaronMaybin58 Why don't you worry about getting our Bills to the Super Bowl instead of partying. You have a lot to prove Aaron.

The guy you replaced, Hargrove, has a Super Bowl ring. Why don't you shut up, realize you have a long way to go, and get to work on 2010. I know NFL players are all partying it up, but Maybin was a joke last year, and it *(&^&(* me off that he thinks he's the man down there. What a jerkoff.

give it a rest and leave the guy alone. you make all of us bills fans look like asses

  4. At least Sandiego has good players and makes the playoffs almost every year... Buffalo is stuck with a penny pinching owner and a group of under-achieving lackluster players and no-name coaches... We are stuck on a huge losing streak; and we call 8-8 a good season? WOW

must be nice starting out 4 & 0 in the division every year with raiders and chiefs. and broncos with orten arent much better either. bills trade places with chargers and they could have been 9 & 7 (5 & 1 in division instead of 2 & 4)

  5. I would start with Crocodiles. It was their first album, more guitar driven, and very intense. It's almost like a post-punk Doors...only not as goofily pretentious. Plus the new reissue of the album has like 10 bonus tracks. Good value for the money.

It is a seriously killer record though.

it's all nasty stuff, just stay away from it. unless you like the sound of 15 year olds putting together their first garage band

  6. I am in total agreement with you

As a tribute the Saban, the Bills will add the word "NARODZENIA" to their jerseys next season. "NARODZENIA" is the word which Saban is seen shouting in the picture above, and it was an anagram which represented the essense of his unchanging coaching philosophy. When I was a player at Frogmouth State Saban briefly coached our team and tried to instill in us the principles of NARODZENIA but we never knew what he was talking about, and he quit after six weeks.

back when i played for Large Mouth Bass University, i used to look forward to our rivalry with Frogmouth, our rallying cry for them was "BOHICA"

  7. Knox was the most innovative, both on offense and defense. With offense, showing that the shotgun offense could be extremely productive, esp. on 3rd down where the Bills got a 60% 3rd down conversion rate for the whole year!!! when they started with the shotgun in 1980. Had he won the SB, which he came close to doing with Buffalo in 1980, he would be recognized by everyone as the best Bills coach. On defense he pioneered the 3-4.

Regarding the SB, the Bills narrowly lost to the Chargers in the divisional playoffs on the road, with several questionable calls as usual against Buffalo. Had they beaten the Chargers they would have easily beaten the Raiders in Buffalo; they had already beaten the Raiders 24-7 earlier in the season. The Raiders went on the defeat the Eagles in the SB since they didn't have to go through Buffalo to get there.

Anyway during the Knox era Buffalo was perhaps the most innovative team in the NFL. We haven't been that for a long time.

knox for sure. anyone who can't see that is a big freaking idiot. saban coached in a pop warner league. and levy went 0-4 with what amounted to the afc pro bowl team.
