this also makes sense, which is why i would error on the side of sitting him out. i just have no idea how long that would be. 2 games vs 6 games or the year?
I mean, if him getting hit in his arm would cause a full tear, what's the difference with him being fully healthy and potentially getting hit like that and getting a sprain to a tear? If it's not a risk of making it worse by throwing the ball, I think they should let him decide of the pain can be tolerated. I have heard it could affect the grip of the football and accuracy. I say let him play, but if he clearly doesn't look right (throwing power and accuracy is greatly diminished), then you put Keenum in.

From what I understand, I don't think him throwing the ball would cause it to get worse. However, I have heard that another hit could make it worse, which is obviously understandable. I don't think him throwing 30 times a game will slowly cause the UCL to fully tear. It just won't have the time to fully heal in a reasonable amount of time (as opposed to sitting him down for a few weeks).

I'm going to say Knox. Dude had a breakout year last year and now that he got paid, he's basically just been a body on the field. He can't be helping with the pass blocking, because Allen is still having to scramble and getting hit. Davis has been disappointing, but at least he's made some big plays this year.

For sure, Josh Allen's mistakes cost the team the game. However, not recognizing that Josh was under duress the entire game and not going for short routes, instead opting for intermediate and deep routes (which were taken away) is something the coaching staff should have seen and adjusted to. It blows my mind that we lose when Josh plays bad. If we have the most complete roster, they should be able to win games when Allen isn't himself.

And that's where the coaching staff needs to recognize that and implement quick screens, or quick passes for Knox to make plays. We don't have the luxury to not use a player like Knox. He HAS to play better.

Yes, Josh Allen played a clunker. However, my frustration lies on the coaching staff. I simply have 2 questions that I'd like for them to answer.
1. This team has just signed TE Dawson Knox to a 4yr $52M, $20M gtd deal with the thought that he will be an important asset to the passing game. He's a big body that can create mismatches. He's not a Kelce or a Kittle by no means, but he could play those kind of roles. If the O-Line is having problems pass blocking, why isn't Knox being used as a safety valve? Is it scheme? Is it him not getting separation? Is it trust? 20 receptions for 183 isn't going to get it done (I'm actually SHOCKED he has 20 catches. It feels like he maybe has 10).
2. If the Buffalo Bills were playing the Kansas City Chiefs yesterday, would Jordan Poyer or Matt Milano be playing? If the answer is yes, then why were they sat out for this game? Personally, I'm not really worried about the NFC games. You can lose those and be fine. However, to sit out most of your important players on defense so they can rest up and "play the long game" can be done against the Vikings, not the Jets or any team in the AFC, and especially the AFCE. I only say that because Bulldog on WGR550 said he understands them playing the long game and long term health of the team. The AFC is turning into the logjam that we thought. It's just with different teams. Instead of the Raiders, it's the Jets. Instead of the Broncos, it's the Patriots. I can see them doing playing the long game with NFC teams, but if they are even at 75%, you have to let them play AFC and divisional opponents. Poyer even said himself on his Podcast that he'll be ok. If they play in the game and you can clearly see there is an issue, there is no shame sitting them out and putting Bernard and Johnson in. But you HAVE to let these guys play if they can. If they can't, that's another story. These tiebreakers that we consistently lose has literally cost this team a Super Bowl.
I'm not a "sky is falling" state right now. They still control their own destiny. They win out, it doesn't matter what KC, Miami, Jets does, because Buffalo would still be the 1 seed. The offense has played bad for 6 quarters now. If they win that game, we are feeling the exact same way as Chiefs fans are feeling right now.....offense played a clunker, but they got out with a win, and it's hard to win in the league. However, something needs to be done, and the coaching staff needs to figure it out. Davis and Knox MUST find a way into this passing game. They NEED to scheme extension of the run plays (jet sweeps, etc). Cook has looked good. We need to see more of him.

For me, I am terrified that our invincible QB has gone back to his old ways and that is a pretty scary thought. Although Mahomes is not always perfect, he is never the reason the Chiefs lose a game here or there. Keeping the 1 seed is a distance 2nd place in my list of concerns when compared to how Allen responds the rest of the season. In a nutshell, it just sucks when the Bills vibe is sucked dry on a Monday and today it just seems as though everything has changed moving forward. The Vikings game can't get here soon enough to prove me wrong...
Mahomes definitely was the reason they lost to the Colts. 2 crucial INT's.

Who knows how much better (or worse) Singletary would be if the Bills doubled his carries.
As far as deleting Allen's strengths, for every carry you give to the running back you have to take away a passing play.
I don't know why people think we need to do this archaic thing like run the football. Rams were ok at it, and the Chiefs were not a running team much at all when they won. RB is a commodoty piece for great teams. Great RB's only make teams good.

I can see Miami going 3-3 the next 6 games, 2-4 at the ABSOLUTE worst, but no way they go 1-5.

Even if he does, he has the 4th year and the 5th year option. His cap hit wont even take effect until the 2025 season. Miami is going to be in good shape for a few years if Tua continues to play better.
So, I just looked, and I was correct. The year that Tua's contract would take effect, Hill would have a $50.1M cap hit, but a $5.1M Dead Cap. So they'll get a $45M cap hit relief. That's just in time to pay Tua and still have the potential to restructure Hill's deal, or find a younger receiver (or pay Waddle). They gave all his money when Tua wasn't in the rookie deal. I'm assuming that's what they'll do for Chubb as well.

As much as I like to talk ***** about Miami, you're right. Tyreek Hill is 28 years old. Who knows how long he'll be able to keep at this pace of being lightning fast and shifty. So, they're paying him right now. He has a $31M cap hit next year. Miami has the option (and they will do it) of the 5th year for Tua. He's going to have a low cap hit for 2 more seasons after this. They know right now their window is this year and 2 more years after that. By that time, Chubb and Hill will most likely have a good enough dead cap hit that they can restructure or cut them, before they have to pay Waddle. But they clearly have 2 more seasons after this year for that kind of window.

Come on. The Bills were coasting in the 2nd half. Even I was scrolling Twitter looking at random puppy videos during the game. The Bills kept the D in their base Nickel with 5 DB's and dared the Packers to run the ball. They did that. They essentially drank poison slowly and that was all she wrote. Coaching is fine. Players are fine. People want to be critical about a 2nd half in a game that everybody knew was over. It only looked close in the box scores.

He literally said the Packers out played the Bills for 2.5 quarters, and teams like Philadelphia just blows teams away, while Buffalo lets teams back in the game. I guess the +105 point differential (27 points more than Philly might I add) isn't good enough. As for the statement about the Bills are too reliant on Josh Allen, what team with a Superstar quarterback isn't? You never hear people say that KC is too reliant on Mahomes. You never hear that the Bengals are too reliant on Burrow (Mixon only has 70 yards more than Singletary). Why don't we hear about the Ravens being too reliant on Jackson? What is Cowherd trying to say in this piece? I'm super confused by it.

Weird game; easier for the players to focus 100% and put the pedal down in a close, hard fought game.
It's like being up 2-0 or 3-0 in a hockey game; sometimes that's the worst---for the team in the lead.
I can understand them being bored. I was too. I found myself playing phone games in the second half when I seen Green Bay were just gonna kill the clock.

The worst thing for the Jets is having Allen come off the field and calling the win over the Packers "gross". So now they are going to be dialed in for the Jets.
The Jets literally cannot score. Wilson threw his first TD pass in 4 games in this loss. That's an entire month of no touchdown passes.

Allen is going to be limited this week. So that means Keenum is going to get a lot of reps anyways. That shouldn't be a problem.
