Then you will need to prepare yourself for the reality that what you expect will not happen.

I know that won't happen, but you can still expect them to.  You can't realistically believe they're going to play perfect and fire on all cylinders for 20 games.  However, we all know their capabilities and we can expect them to win every game they play, and rather convincingly.  Expectations is different than reality

Just took a gander at the Chiefs forum.

They're convinced that the Packers defense  found out how to stop Allen & Co and they’re going to copy it in the playoffs :)

Because Kansas City is a rushing juggernaut that we need to watch out for.  Nothing says we're scared like CEH just pounding us.

  3. I'm kind of in agreement with a lot of the people posting in here.  It seems to me like the upper seats will be the ones protected, while the 100 level seats will be exposed to the rain/snow/etc.  Which to me is kind of weird, considering the 100 level is going to be more expensive.  The plaza looks phenomenal though.

As long as we're fielding theories...

I believe the excellent Bills medical team knows that ACL injury recurrence is much greater if an athlete rushes back to the field. As such, and knowing that White is an important, long term foundational piece of the team, they're doing everything they can to make sure he's healthy in the long term.

https://www.uchealth.org/today/acl-tears-how-long-does-it-take-to-recover-and-return-to-sports/#:~:text=“That process can take nine, least eight to nine months.

“It takes a while for the graft to become part of the body and go through a process of we call ligamentization, which is becoming a new ligament,” McCarty said. “That process can take nine or 10 months.”

Although some exceptional athletes can return to sports in six months, a more realistic scenario after an ACL tear is a recovery time of at least eight to nine months.

“Even then, after you’ve done great therapy and have come back to sports, it can sometimes take another year before you feel normal again,” McCarty said.

His patients often tell him that it isn’t until the second season after ACL surgery that they feel like they have fully returned to their previous level of play.

Since everyone heals differently, there’s no set time for athletes to return to sports. Tests can determine whether or not a reconstructed knee is as functional as the other knee and up to the rigors of a particular sport. Doctors and physical therapists usually have the final say on whether or not an athlete is ready to compete safely.

Research shows that up to one-third of athletes sustain another ACL tear in the same or opposite knee within two years, suggesting that an ACL tear recovery time of 10 months or longer may be associated with a lower risk of re-injury.

Sounds reasonable.  However, he was injured Thanksgiving last year.  It's been 11 months.  He's been longer than what this suggests.

How did Tennessee announce their deal and renderings in about two weeks, while the Bills can’t do it for seemingly 2 years?

Magic pixie dust must have ran out.  With out getting another warning, that's going to be my answer.

  6. I'll be getting rid of DTV as well.  I'm paying $280 a month for the service because I'm not on a contract.  I don't use it hardly at all.  I'll probably just get a cheap cable package bundled with my internet, and that will be the end of it.  I'll buy whatever streaming service that picks up Sunday Ticket.

And if you run Singletary into the ground you are still screwed, because he’s the only competent RB on the roster.

It’s like you didn’t read my post at all.

I don't really care if they run Singletary to the ground.  This is his last year on his rookie deal.  After that, he's not going to be worth it for us to keep.  Run one of the most under-utilized backs "to the ground" and give Cook some touches so we can "run him into the ground" for 4 years at the Rookie deal.  Rinse and repeat.

Yes. Agree. Tre tore ACL in November and is not back yet…OBJ did it 2 and half months later.

Godwin tore his ACL late December and has played all year so far (despite the few games he was out with a hamstring).  All injuries and recoveries are not mutually exclusive.  Tre is taking his time because he knows he has the luxury to.  I firmly believe if we were hurting at CB, he would be here by now.

  9. I'm going with OBJ.  With the "Who you'd rather have" you also have to look at implications.  Right now, they can pay CMC because it's like $1M pro rated on the cap this year, but it then balloons to $19.550M and carries a dead cap of $18.352M.  So you're going to have to cut/trade him, and it's going to press us even more on the cap.  This means no Tremaine Edmunds and no Jordan Poyer (maybe we'll squeeze one by kicking the can down the road, but someone's going).  This also doesn't include the capital we have to give up.  When a team is this good and has this many players that cost a ton, you have to have draft picks and cost controlled rosters to keep the shelves stocked.

By signing OBJ, you don't give up any capital, and you're only relying on cap purposes.  If he wants to play here, sign him to a deal that doesn't include us having to cut/restructure.  Then, after the year, you can choose to let him go.  Production wise, I'm going with OBJ.  I can live with Singletary/Cook in the backfield.  We seen with Davis hurt, it affects the passing game a lot.  Add another explosive weapon and teams won't know how to handle the Bills passing game even more than it already is.  Who are you going to double team?  It would be a choose your poison.

  10. I'm assuming Kelce's big game is why Milano was graded so low.  That shouldn't be on him.  But man, that open field tackle he made was elite.  If he doesn't make that tackle, that's 6 points for KC.

What if I told you....Khalil Shakir and James Cook have a much higher drop % (18% and 14%), and that McKenzie has the same drop % as Gabe Davis on exactly the same number of targets (McKenzie has a higher catch % though)?

I get it, I get it.  11 of the Twelve Angry Men have spoken.

McKenzie is a veteran.  Shakir and Cook are rookies learning to play in the league.  McKenzie is on this team because he's supposed to be reliable.  Him making drive killing mistakes isn't someone you'd think you can rely on.  I expect Cook and Shakir to make those mistakes, not someone that's been here for 5 years.

  11. I already have a bet with a friend who's an Eagles fan.  If they match up in the SB, I'm taking Buffalo at -14.  I don't believe the Eagles hype.  I think they are a real good team.  They are also a product of one of the softest schedules I've ever seen.  The Vikings and Cowboys are the only two winning record teams they've played.  Granted, they blew out the Vikes and beat up the Cowboys, so I'll give them that.  I just don't think pulling out a nailbiter vs the Lions and Cardinals, coupled with needing a double digit comeback vs the Jags is impressive.  I wish they would have a tough game coming up, but really, what game is that?  Rematch with Cowboys with Dak?  Giants?  Titans?  We might not find out until the Divisional Playoffs, which is kind of weird to me.

Don’t flame me too bad but Phillys roster is just as talented if not more than buffalo. Their O line is amazing when Lane Johnson and Kelce are healthy. 3 shifty quick running backs. Solid duo of receivers and goeddert at tight end.  And they do have the best corner tandem in the league. Slay has to be cb1 in the league so far.
They would be the one team I would not want to face right now. Allen and Buffalo can definitely beat them, hurts still has question marks and I’m not a fan of that coach or their playcalling. Reminds me of McDermott’s first couple years when he didn’t trust the offense to execute anything consistently and coached really conservative.
I think Buffalo finishes better than them but I’m just basing that off health. I don’t see anyway Philly stays healthy enough to win 13+ games. If pieces start dropping hurts probably isn’t carrying them the way Allen can.

My issue is if they have this amazing O-Line with these amazing receivers, why is he throwing 150 yards?  He has 1,514 yards passing and 293 rushing.  That combined isn't even where Josh is at in passing, AND Josh has sat out 3 full quarters so far this season.  Josh has thrown 1,980 passing and still has 257 rushing, playing nearly a full game less.  The Bills averages 440.8 yards of total offense a game despite sitting starters for 3 quarters so far this year.  Philly hasn't been able to do that yet, and they have 394.5.

Now they want to talk about having the better running back.  Are we talking about yards?  Then sure.  I'm not even defending Singletary, but he has had slightly less than half the rushing attempts (57) than Sanders (105).  Sanders averages 4.6 on the ground to Singletary's 4.5.  The reason why people talk about the run game is because the pass game isn't there yet for Philly.  If Hurts was on Allen's level, they wouldn't be handing the ball off to Sanders a billion times a game trying to do ball control.  Eagles defense is elite, but their offense isn't there yet.  Cool, they beat Minnesota and Dallas.  Kudos to them.  But Detroit, Jax, Arizona, and Washington are not juggernauts.  Their toughest game for the rest of the year is probably Tennessee.

Eagles are good.  They are the class of the NFC, but they're not on the level of Buffalo and KC.  Yes, they're undefeated, but this is the same talk we had during the BCS years when Alabama and Florida would have to play each other in the SEC Championship.  Someone has to lose.  Then here comes Notre Dame trotting in after beating powerhouses like BYU and expecting respect after a 12-0 season.  This is how I feel about Philly.  They're undefeated, but to put it into context, they haven't had a tough schedule so far, and they won't have one the rest of the year.

  13. People keep talking about the Chargers.  They are just like everybody else.  They're always "dark horse" picks, and time and time again, they underachieve.  Let's just call a spade a spade.  Bills and Chiefs are the class of the AFC.  Rest of the conference is average.  Eagles and Vikings are the class of the NFC.  But, at the end of the day, both of those teams are playing for the right to lose to either Buffalo or Kansas City in the Super Bowl.
