  1. Bills 56

Thanks, I needed a good laugh.

I'll say it: I don't think the game will even be close; I think we're going to get laughed right out of the stadium. Now, I really hope I'm wrong...but from what I've seen of both teams this year, I just don't think we're ready to compete against the Patriots.

  2. they are 2-0 man wtf do you want from them? how many more games should they have won at this point?

    More convincing wins.

Yes, they're 2-0. That doesn't make me look at them and think "yeah, they're a playoff contender." That makes me think "okay, we crushed the Chiefs (big whoop) and just barely scraped by against the Raiders." I want to see them UP 21-3 at the half; not down by 18. I want them to play to a point where the opponents' fans aren't saying "you lucked out," but "wow, you guys played a hell of a game."

2-0 doesn't mean a thing to me. Remember when we started 5-0 a few years back...and finished under .500? Sorry, but 2-0 means nothing more than "yeah, we can still finish 2-14."

  3. I can't find a clear answer on this - is there a free preview this weekend on PS3 for customers who can't get DTV? We're thinking about buying Sunday Ticket for the console, but I'm not going to spend $350 on a service sight unseen. I know that there's supposedly a preview for people who DO have DTV and are thinking of adding the service to their console, but what about those of us who can't get satellite?

If it is possible, how do you do it? We downloaded the app, but it's asking us to subscribe. Help? Thanks!

  4. Dumb question, but is there any way to get DTV/Sunday Ticket, then cancel after the season without paying massive charges? In other words...can you get the service without a contract? I'd be willing to pay a decent price, split with my roommate, to get the games in good quality instead of gambling with the 'net every weekend. But I can't justify an entire year (or two) of satellite just for Bills games. Am I out of luck?

  5. Using your estimate of 40 seconds on average for a review, and using 8 as the average number of scores (not including PATs… will they have to review those too?) that's an additional 320 seconds or 5 minutes and 20 seconds per game. For each team, that averages out to about an additional 1.5 hours per season.

    :)

Except there's already about 40 seconds between a TD and a PAT, and far more than that between an FG and kickoff or a PAT and kickoff. So using his estimate of 40 seconds, than an additional zero seconds per game, or 0.0 hours per season.

    :)

  6. You come out of college with plans of making big money, and everything goes on hold,” said Dareus, the third overall pick by the Buffalo Bills. “It grinds you.”

    Oh well....

Please, tell me what's wrong about expecting to be paid after being hired by someone. I can't wait to hear why this is such a horrible thing.

  7. If I were Brady I'd retire. He has nothing left to prove in the NFL. He is going to the HOF and won 3 superbowls. Why risk injury?

Because he loves to play football?

There isn't a single person in the NFL who plays because, when they were a child, they said "I want to sacrifice all of my free time, and risk major injury, so that someday I'll have an extremely small chance at playing in the NFL for a boatload of money". They play professional football because it's what they want to do more than anything else. There's an extremely small chance of sustaining any sort of permanent injury, especially when you're as well protected as Tom Brady. I can't imagine why he would even think about retiring. It would be one thing if he was getting bad and the team would be better off with a different QB, but that sure hasn't appeared to be the case yet.
