  1. Without evening reading the replies on the first page, Page 2 has me thinking that there are some very angry people on here. So let me be clear:

I am not hoping for anyone to die. I'm not wishing for anyone to die. I'm not saying "wouldn't it be great if...." (you get the idea, I hope). I'm simply curious about what would happen to a team (and staff) worth hundreds of millions of dollars if the owner, with no publicly named successor, were to pass away in the middle of a season. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Wilson; anyone who can take a massive financial gamble for what they're passionate about and stick to their guns for over 50 years is a-ok in my book. Truthfully, as bad as it would probably be from a purely sports-related perspective, I'd love to see the Bills remain under Wilson family ownership. But we've been told time and time again that it won't happen, so...eh.

  2. Forgive me if this topic has actually been covered (and covered, and covered), but what would happen if RW's age finally caught up with him in mid-season? Would ownership default to someone in the organization for the duration of the season (if so, who)? Would the team be sold off before the season was over, or would all of that stuff wait until the Super Bowl?

Here's the thing, folks: I always lose bets. So calling an 0-16 Bills season is one of the best things that can happen to their record. But if I'm right, at least I can run up a $750 bar tab to forget about it all.

  4. They have an easier schedule this year. They should go 8 and 8 at least.

The jinx is in! I blame the entire season and its inevitable dismays on this post alone.

Seriously though, I like it better last year - when we were supposed to kind of suck, like usual, and then sat at the top of the NFL in week three and made national headlines as a true surprise - not an expected turnaround. Although, I'd like it to end a bit better...

  5. If only he'd listened to more of Marshawn.

"Marshawn, what's your favorite part of practice?"

    "Stretchin mah groinz!"

I swear, this Bills-era interview exists. If anyone can dig it up, I'd love to revisit it.

actually...found it! Right around the 7:00 mark.

  6. In the post-Super Bowl era, I would watch it because I wasn't ready for football to be done. When they moved it, I decided to record it, since I wasn't going to be around to watch it while it was playing live. As I found myself fast-forwarding through most of it, I finally came to terms with what my friends had been telling me for years: it's not a game. It's a joke.

Scrap it. I won't miss it.

  7. I don't get all the whining about this play. Pats didn't need points so why risk a turnover or hit on Brady when you can punt and eliminate any possible big return.

Why risk a hit on Brady?

    Good point. Maybe you should:

    1) Take a knee

    2) Put in a different QB

    3) Hand it off to your least important back

    4) Put in the guy who's job it is to punt the ball

There are probably more reasons, but those are the ones that quickly come to mind. The move - under the circumstances - reeks of pure arrogance.

  8. Actually in a perfect world the pats lose 50 to zero. And u have to touch male genitalia all day long for minimum wage.

    2. The media around brady and pats. I cant stand it. I prefer they talk about a water boy over brady. At least tebow brings interest. He wins.

I haven't heard anyone talk about Brady in weeks. I have, however, heard Tebow's name on a daily basis. Needless to say, I'm enjoying this game so far.

  9. I voted for Tommy Boy. Why?

    1) The media hype around Tebow. Can't stand it. Want it gone. Or at least, reduced.

    2) After finally squeezing out a three point win in week 3, we got crushed by the Pats with nearly 50 unanswered points in the last game. They're clearly better than us. The Broncos? We spanked them 40-14! How can you be okay with seeing that team advance in the playoffs, when you know we could trounce them?

    3) I like to throw rocks at beehives.

  10. If the past is prologue, the odds of us drafting a first round bust are probably over 90%

Fine. But you realize that, no matter where in the round it is, there will still be a first round draft of some point. What difference does it make if, for example, if our bust is picked 9th overall or 15th overall? A bust is a bust.

I, for one, will continue to hope against hope and blindly believe that, one of these years, our players will remain healthy and play enough games together to really click and get back into the habit of winning games.
