  1. I have no idea who we could realistically get from the top tier. How good a salesman is Buddy and how do players see the Bills right now? Up and coming?

    PTR

You can get a lot of things in this world with $......pay the men, they'll come. That simple.

  2. After Buddy's presser, I can't help but get exited about this years FA class, since I really believe we will make a big splash. Buddy emphasized that if there is the right guy available as pass rusher, they will pursue him aggresively. He also said he wants to add a big-time WR.

This opposed to the last two years, where he clearly stated they would not pursue any big-names, and would build through the draft. He never says this in his presser, so it makes me think we could sign a big free agent or two.

    Thoughts? Go BILLS!

  3. According to Stevie's agent, "There have been no talks with #Bills regarding Stevies contract since months ago when they made us their 'final' offer"

So he says this after Buddy insisted today there have been ongoing talks, and they want him back...

All i know is someone is lying here, just don't know who yet.

  4. I really think this kid has potential to be a star corner in this league. He's been beat deep a few times, but overall he's played very well, shutting down some pretty good receivers. He'll be our starting corner next year, and i'm very excited to see what he can do.

  5. This defense has not given this team a chance to win all year. When opponents are constantly driving it down the field on you, and putting up 25-30 points a game, unless you have Brady, Rodgers or Brees at QB, you're not winning many football games. Now, I think injuries have take a tole to a certain extent, especially with Kyle not being healthy at any point this year. I also like some young guys we have on D ( Aaron, Marcel, Kelvin ), but there are just too many liabilities right now.

We saw this offense firing on all cylinders earlier on when the D WAS CREATING TURNOVERS. Now, teams are driving it down the field on us, and we're not picking the ball of 4 times a game.

I think that our poor D is really affecting our offense. It just seems like anytime we cant take put together a good drive on offense, the other team just takes it down for a score when the our D hits the field. I really believe this is putting a lot of pressure on our offense, knowing they'll probably have to score at least 24+ to win the game. Like I said, there are only 3 quarterbacks right now that can constantly put up 30 a game, regardless of how the defense is playing.

So before we jump to conclusions on Fitz, and our offense, we should build a respectable defense that gives us a chance to win. GO BILLS!

  6. Im not gonna rant like a madman, just give my overall, frustrating thoughts on this team.

I haven't been a Bills fan as long as some of you, as I am still in my late teens. I haven't been around to see the great days of Jim Kelly, the super-bowl eras. Maybe that's why this year has been extra disappointing for me.

I finally got to feel what it's like to be a winner, something I've only felt with this team once before ( Back in 08 for a brief period ). After week 7, against the Redskins, which was a game I attended, we were sitting at 5-2. I was SURE this team was for real after the demolishing of the 'skins. In fact, I remember after Chandlers second TD in the game, I turned to my friend, and said "This is beautiful to watch". And it truly was for the first 7 weeks.

But as I got to a high point as a fan, things went drastically downhill. In fact, the next week, I also attended the game against the Jets. It was my first ever game at the Ralph, and I was PUMPED. Unfortunately, that was the beginning of our horrid collapse. Now we sit here, at 5-8, out of the playoffs once again.

This is the most frustrating feeling in the world. I truly thought this was the year I get to witness my first Bills playoff game. As it turns out, thats not the case. Its now a loonngggg offseason of the same old. The thing that sucks is that throughout the offseason, we're all going to be looking at the team's horrible finish, rather than the great start, where we FINALLY beat the Patriots. This is gonna be the monkey on our back for the next 9 months or so.

I simply don't know whether this team is headed in the right direction at this point or not. On paper, we seem like a good team when healthy. However, this is also the same team that has lost 6 straight, and four of those in blowout fashion. I just don't know where this is headed, although come March we will probably find out how serious Buddy is about winning.

Anyway, I think I need a break from Buffalo Bills football. I love this team more than anything, but it's becoming intolerable. I think next year is a make or break year for this organization. If it doesn't work out next year, it's time to blow it up and start over again.

Overall, I'm just dissapointed this season wasn't meant to be. Some believe in fate, some don't, but this was inevitably our fate, and we just have to accept it, as hard as it may be. Let's hope for a good offseason and draft, because I think it's Buddy's last chance at getting it right,

Good night, and im gonna say it, GO BILLS!

  7. You guys keep complaining about our QB, coach, GM, almost anything there is to complain about. Well, if you really look back, watch some of the games, you start to realize this offense has been pretty damn good this year ( minus a couple games ).

Fitz has played well enough this year that he is now our guy for the next 3-6 years at least. We've seen the emergence of guys like Chandler, Aaron Williams, O-line as a whole, Spiller, George Wilson. A couple plays go our way, we're probably sitting at 8-4 right now, but hey, life doesn't always work like that.

So this brings me to my point. I know this is gonna be the 12th year without any playoffs. But I feel something special coming. I really do. Although a lot of things haven't gone our way the last month, I have seen a lot of good, positive things from this team this year. I want our guys to go out there the next four weeks, and prove to all the doubters that this will be a good team for years to come.

Gailey is not the problem. Fitz is FAR from the problem. The biggest problem right now are injuries, Pass rushers, and George Edwards. Stop blowing things out of proportion Bills fans. I know it's been a crappy 5 weeks for all of us, and it has seemed to take things out of perspective. Before the injuries, this team seemed like an AFC contender. But hey, it's life, sh*t happens.

Let's end this year on a positive note, going into the offseason. With a solid offseason, I billieve this team can not only make it to the playoffs, but make a run as well. Good night Bills fans!

    Go Bills!

  8. Just random thoughts, in no particular order:

    1) Today was probably one of the most horrid games i have seen from ANY Bills team. Hell, we couldn't even snap the ball properly, there were multiple botched handoffs, interceptions, couldn't convert any third downs, it was just an overall unwatchable game from Bills fans perspective

    2) A few positives from today: Scott Chandler and the defense overall. First off, Chandler was the only player on this offensive unit that came to play today, he made a few very nice catches and led the team in receiving.

Say what you want, the defense played fairly well today. Miami only had around 250 yards on offense. The offense put the defense in a very tough position a couple times, I only blame the D for two touchdowns where the Fins had nice drives going. Otherwise I though defensively it was a vast improvement from last week against Dallas.

    3) Also, it seems Kelvin Sheppard knows what he's doing. He'll be a very solid player for years to come for this Bills squad.

    4) Hairston played terrible, D.BELL should be back next week, which is good news for the o-line.

    5) Brandon Marshall- 1 catch, 5 yds. Another positive that could be taken from this atrocious game.

Overall, next week is our LAST chance to save this season. Remember Bills fans, this is the SAME TEAM which we saw earlier in the year who dominated offensively. I don't know whats happened lately, but if we can somehow, someway come up with a win next week, we can turn this ship around. Of course, playing like this, i'm not sure if we'll win another game this year. The key is figuring out what's the problem, and fix it fast! The Jets started our downfall, now we have a chance to end our losing streak against the team which started it.

Im not expecting a win next week, as many aren't, so let's just see what happens, the NFL is a very up and down league. GO BILLS!

  9. Im as dissapointed as any Bills fan of the teams effort the past couple weeks. However, we've seen how good these guys can play. We have a lot of pieces in place: A good QB, a Very good RB, good wr's, a good o-line, good safeties, decent linebackers, decent d-line.....

It just seemed everything went against us these last couple games, but we're still 5-4, as opposed to 1-8 a season ago! We have a winnable game next week against the fins, and i expect our boys to come out firing, and play their best football.

The past couple weeks wasn't nearly as good as this team can be. We've seen it already. When these guys play to their potential, we can beat ANYBODY. I will continue to billieve, and I billieve that this team will make the playoffs.

    Just keep the faith....Go BILLS!

  10. Fitzys stat line goes: 21/30, 244 yds, 2 td's, 2 ints. Thats a 70% completion percentage, with 244 yards and 2td's, along with 2 picks. He made 3 mistakes the whole game, which did cost us somewhat, however, he made TONS of good throws and decisions and the completion percentage along with the yardage proves it.

Yes, he underthrew those two balls for Stevie, which resulted in picks. However, the defense wasn't there at all today! They were able to march down the field too easily on many drives and there was zero pressure on Eli.

Nevertheless, the front seven was missing 3 key players ( Williams, Merriman, Kelsay), who happen to be our 3 best pass rushers. With a week off, lets get healthy and get our act together on defense, because i believe we have the talent.

Regarding Fitzpatrick, this game is not on him, its on the defense. The offense looked in sync most of the game, which is a sign of solid QB play. Guys, this is the best quarterback we've had in a long time. Let's look at the positives; we're 4-2, with a good chance of going to 5-2 against the Redskins. Once we get healthy again after the buy, i think we'll settle down and start to look like the Bills against the Raiders, Pats and Eagles instead of the Bills against the Bengals and Giants. Go Bills!

  11. I'm a realist, I don't like to sugarcoat things just to appeal to others. Although I do believe there's a time and place and a way to make a point. It really upsets me to know that after Buffalo wins a game, people would have to find a way to deflate the win....ON A BILLS FORUM ONLY HOURS AFTER THEY WON!?! C'mon man it simply amazes me. Last year we were 0-5 at this point. I don't want to hear about how we can't sustain wins because of this or that after the game. I want to come here and rejoice with all of my fellow Bills fans. I feel that all of us deserve to speak our minds but we also deserve to just enjoy a victory at the same time. We are winning, and like everyone used to say about us when it was the other way around good teams find ways to win, bad teams find ways to lose. We are now that good team that finds ways to win.

    Amen!
