what?
Chuck DICKerson may find it is easy to stand outside and critize but to actually get the job and do something is hard.

I totally agree. He might not be in is prime, but he is still a very solid QB. He could do wonders for us. draft a lineman (or 2) sign a DT and LB. We might not be that bad
When people say bring in McNabb, I hear bring in Bledsoe. Good for a year but you better have a replacement on the roster.

people forget he sucked even worse as HC of the Rams
just stay away from these failed retreads
On your theory Marv never would have been hired in Buffalo. Marv sucked in KC but was great here with the right guy finding talent.

I think I'm one of the few TBD'ers who would still be excited if Jim Haslett came home to coach the Bills. Several years ago, after Haslett's run as Pitt DC, I remember how high on the list he was for a lot of other folks around here. We used to speculate about whether he had a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave whatever position he was in if and when the Bills came calling. Now it seems like he's totally fallen out of favor. It's not like his record in N.O. was that bad, and we're talking about a team that, until recently, was pretty much a bottom dweller in the NFL. The St. Louis gig was only an interim basis, so he wasn't really going to get much accomplished there in such a short time.
The guy is one of US. He loves the Bills and he's got some experience as a head coach under his belt. Is there anyone else out there besides me who would be happy having him coach the Bills?
I think Haz would be a good choice for Head Coach. In NO Haz coached through Katrina which had a big effect on his overall record. His team had to move to San Antonio about a week before the season started. Also, for all of you Cowher lovers out there he is from the Cowher tree in Pittsburg where he was DC before going on to NO as HC. Haz is a better coach than you guys are giving him credit for being.

Sure especially those high school helmets with a buffalo just standing there. That way those helmets would be appropriate for the offensive line which is also often just standing there.
Please don't bring back those ugly 1960's style helmets. The rest of the uniform I would be fine with but the throw backs are just flat out ugly.

I really don't get the love for the insipid "standing buffalo" logo. Must be a nostalgia thing, because the current Bills logo blows it away.
Love the current logo and the red helmets. The White helmets look like a 1960's high school football team helmet. I also preferred the Superbowl era Uni's.

Here is an article on some Fantasy league guys being fired for playing at work. One league commissioner is claiming that only evidence of use of work equipment is an instant message from a friend about how badly Trent Edwards was playing. Here is the link.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy than Pete Carrol. When he was with the Jets I will never forget him running down the sidelines after Kelly threw an interception giving Jim the universal choke signal.

Why would the SAME OC, architect of JP's best season in 2006, DELIBERATELY change that successful offense? Why would an OC choose to change the formula for his starting QB that ranked 11th in the league? That's right, he wouldn't. And Fairchild didn't.
After JP's injury in '07, Fairchild dumbed down the playbook for Edwards which was the smart thing to do considering they were throwing a rookie onto the field. That was the only "changing" Fairchild did.
The only thing that changed for JP was teams had him figured out (read: teams very seldom let him see single coverage on Evans) and, seeing as he wasn't very good at reading defenses and going through his progressions, his play worsened. It worsened to the point that just getting "adequate" play from Edwards was enough to force JP to the bench. Didn't help that JP suffered from a crisis of confidence and put so much pressure on himself that there was no way he was going to recover.
Hopefully, he's matured, learned to read defenses, and can get himself back into the league. But this revisionist history of Fairchild changing his offense needs to stop. It simply didn't happen.
GO BILLS!!!
The only thing I can say about coaching quarterbacks in Buffalo is when Mularkey left Sam Wyche left with him. Who took over? Turk Schonert who has a long record of destroying promising quarterbacks careers. See the list of folks he coached and it becomes very clear where the problem was.

Whenever I hear Maybin's name two words come to mind Erik Flowers.
