No one knows what Trump is, not even Trump. His "policies" have internal inconsistencies and his public statements usually contradict each other. He's a moron .

I wish he was smart enough to be liberal but his only genius comes from being a better Khardashian. He knows how to spell T-R-U-M-P. The only time he sounds articulate on the trail is when he describes where he just was "Just came from Trump Towers Vegas, a best in class luxury..." Etc.

Problem is the mindless Trumpsters eat him up. Intellect and policy have no place in his voting base.

If you watch Fox News and listen to Rush it's not too far to Glenn Beck and once there Alex Jones starts to seem reasonable - I was just talking to a Trump supporter and here is what I learned 1. there are 200,000 Muslim terrorist in the US (that Obama has flown in) just waiting to make their move, 2. Obama is selling all our farmland to China 3. If our Grandmother's fell in the street, children today would just walk by and laugh or just take video because there is no prayer in schools and spanking is illegal. 4. Trump is going to fix all that ****

  2. What a hack this guy turned out to be. And what about Fiorina? Lol only candidate ever to lose twice in the same primary.

Well, Ted was one of seven candidates who got a word from God that he should run, of that seven only Kasich remains - might be God is a little bit of a prankster

NOBEL PEACE PRIZE UPDATE: Iraq Parliament Collapses, Lawmakers Flee Baghdad.

“Baghdad teetered on the edge of political chaos Sunday. The city is in a state of emergency, protesters have occupied parts of the once-secure International Zone (IZ), lawmakers have run away and the military is on high alert.”

The White House, as usual, was caught by surprise. And Joe Biden displayed his usual golden touch:

Biden’s meetings Thursday with Abadi and other senior Iraqi officials focused primarily on making sure that the political strife in Baghdad was not interfering with military preparations to retake Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city, from the Islamic State.

“We talked about the plans that are in store for Mosul and the coordination that’s going on with all of our friends here,” Biden told reporters after his meeting with the Iraqi prime minister. “And so, I’m very optimistic.”

As he spoke, the vice president was standing next to Salim al-Jubouri, the Iraqi parliament speaker. He pointed to Jubouri and noted that they last talked in Biden’s office in Washington. “This is an old friend,” Biden said.

Less than 36 hours later, the protesters were dancing and stomping on Jubouri’s desk in front of the parliament chamber. Jubouri had fled the building.

    Jeez.

Every Iraqi knows Biden for one thing: Endorsing the division of Iraq into three ethnic and sectarian cantons.

Simply put, Biden is toxic in Iraq. The White House may not want to believe that, but the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad must realize it. If the Obama administration wanted to signal support for Abadi, literally any other official would have done the trick: Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry, CIA direct John Brennan, any former Secretary of State or, better yet, all of them from across both parties to show true U.S. commitment.

How sad it is that in the eighth year of Obama’s presidency, he and his top aides remain so tone deaf to the reality of Iraq and Iraqi politics. It is quite possible that rather than strengthen Abadi against the backdrop of a political crisis, the White House just pulled the carpet out from underneath him.

Have you ever though that destabilized divided regimes in the Middle East may be a US strategic goal?

  4. Generally Rookie WRs have a pretty steep learning curve so any WR we get in this portion of the draft is probably going be picked for Special Teams ability - The Bills do have a few WRs who are interesting

Greg Little- has physical measurements that are pretty similar to Dez Bryant although his production has tanked after an OK rookie year - this is likely his last chance at reviving his NFL career

Dezmin Lewis- nice size, adequate athletic qualities , the Bills knew he was going take at least a year to adjust to the NFL coming from a low level of competition maybe he's ready to show the baby

Hankerson, Salas, Boykin - throw a bunch of stuff at the wall and maybe some sticks - decent size, some athletic qualities, history of injuries

Really like the first three picks

  7. Here's an interesting piece from PBS/NOVA

    http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/earth/cause-ice-age.html

"We are still in the midst of the third major cooling period that began around 3 million years ago."

National corporate funding for NOVA is provided by Google and Cancer Treatment Centers of America. Major funding for NOVA is provided by the David H. Koch Fund for Science, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and PBS viewers.

  8. Kaluza-Klein particles are virtual gauge particles, and not directly expressed in the observable world.

    Solved. Next time, challenge me.

yes but are they naturally compactified by an extra-dimensional flux field or do they oscillate between a positive-tension “Planck brane” with strong gravity and a negative-tension “TeV brane”containing the non-gravitational modes.

  9. Since there's already an informal poll going on in another thread, and the mods pretty much let us self-moderate...let's self-moderate. Should DC-Tom be banned for being a general asshat and all-around nuisance?

Well, given his self-proclaimed polymathic talent his banning could lead to revelatory insights into historical events or the solving of vexing questions in theoretical physics like why Kaluza-Klein particles seem so elusive yet Schadenfreude particles are everywhere, on the other hand given the known nature of the effect of his interactions on the uninoculated human psyche, banning him from PPP might increase his exposure to a vulnerable population and the possibility of a Lovecraftian shift towards the Todestrieb in his surrounding community seems more than a little plausible maybe even likely and given his proximity to decision makers who have the ability to end the world I'd have to vote no on his banning, PPP must continue to carry this hellish burden for the sake of the unsuspecting world.

  10.

He didn't change a name. He creates a new account every time he's banned, and pretends to be someone else. He still won't own up to his previously banned screen names.

Others - JtSP, who now has a name I forget, and No Justice, who's previous name I forget - change the names on their accounts for reasons known only to them (I've always assumed No Justice did it as a political statement of support for the Palestinians. I have no idea why JtSP does anything he does, and I suspect he doesn't know either.) There was one other, maybe eight years back, who changed his name to "Time to Choose Sides" as a message to all of us to prepare for the coming apocalypse (for which he was buying silver. I think he's also the one that hand a conspiracy theory involving Ryan Miller and horse tranqs. Real whackadoodle.)

Ultimately, though, I know of nobody who uses two different accounts here contemporaneously for actual discussion. (I suspect there's a few that use different accounts for TSW and PPP, and I wouldn't blame anyone who did.) There's a few obvious sock-puppet accounts used for humorous purposes, like the old "Nervous Guy" clan or crayonz. But I know of none that are actual "strawman" accounts for setting up a fake disagreement or debate. (And if I did know of one, I'd admit it...but not tell who it was.)

And let's be honest...I'm on here so much that if someone did do that, I'd most likely notice.

Magox came in under "World Traveler", guess he forgot his password or something but he could of said hey it's Magox got to use a different handle cause I forgot my password- Nanker and G G write so similarly they got to be related or something.

  11. I think I've decided. I want Cruz to win the nomination. If he wins the Presidency, maybe Constitutional values see a resurgence. If he gets blown out by abortion and same-sex marriage nonsense, the Republicans are dead.

Trump is an egotistical delusional blowhard ass and I still would much rather have him than Cruz who seems to be the worst parts of Eddie Haskel and Earnest Angley globed together like lumpy mash potatoes.

  12.

    Oh, calm down.

Let's make a PayPal bet. Sometimes between now and the general election, Cruz will have a Jimmy Swaggert moment where he has to admit that he cheated on his wife.

I say it's going to happen. You say no. $50 by paypal?

Good luck with that, LA is a coward's coward
