  1. I have NEVER seen Manning take a hit like the one Harrison laid on RFP last game. He is mild mannered and loose, smart as (actually, why be modest, SMARTER than) anyone in the league, and tough as nails! These Bill could use a top shelf right tackle to keep RFP's head connected to his body though. He is getting hit WAY too much, and way too hard.

Hopefully the refs will start to give him "the star treatment" that he (and Brady & Manning) deserves.

I would bet that if he had the kind of protection that Manning has, he would be much more accurate. Manning doesn't get a quarter of the abuse that RFP gets. He has guys in his face. I'm not saying he is going to reach the Manning level, I'm saying he will be even better if thye upgrade the O-line a couple of notches. I don't think they need to spend the 1st pick on a lineman, but there are ways to get a couple better guys in to play.

    Look at what happened to Manning the other night when playing San Diego, San Diego was able to get pressure on him and he throws 31 Comp. 17 In-Comp. 285 yards 2 TD and 4 Interceptions.. Pretty below average when your line plays like crap..! I love Fitz. and I think we can do just fine with the guy.Lets build a strong Defense and snatch a top RT.>! Bell hasent given up a sack at LT all year..! So I think were set there too..! Draft this;

    1 - DE

    2 - LB

    3 - LB

    4 - DE

    4 - TE

    5 - DT

    6 - Offensive line depth

    7 - Best Available

And get your self a RT and another LB in Free Agency..

  2. I don't think we draft a tackle in the first round at all..! I think a second or third round RT is more along the lines of what we need. Center and guard I think is fine, and if Wang pans out then maybe put wood at center and wang at guard.. Bell seems to be doing just fine..

Spend the first 2 picks on Defense, draft a QB next year..

    Round 1 - DE

    Round 2 - LB

    Round 3 - RT

    Round 4 - LB

    Round 4 - TE

Round 5 - Tackle for Depth

    Round 6 - DE

    Round 7 - Best avaliable

  3. i dont know what was called there watching the link. Byrd was lined up on the other side of the field and rolls to the top of the screen covering the reciever at the goal line. it looks like whitner is lined up at the line almost next to poz. i am not sure the call there, but resulted in a burnt poz and whitner caught underneith, with byrd playing overtop the other reciever in the endzone. it looks likes either byrd made the wrong read, or maybe a safety blitz that whitner pulled up on and dropped into coverage, and poz was beat. but that doesnt make much sense since whitner was rolling over to the bottom of the screen doubling which ever reciever that was. it looks like a blown coverage call to me.

Thats not Whitner beside Poz, It's McKelvin and Scott that are down there. Whitner and byrd were deep, but it would appear Whitner rolled towards the sideline.

Anyway it's all over now, we won...! Here's to hoping that gets fixed this week..! But actually it seems there has been a couple other times this year that Kelsey or one of the line backers were burnt deep trying to cover a WR.

  4. The nickle looked like this: Kyle Williams at NT, Arthur Moats & Chris Kelsay (both officially LBs) on the ends, Poz, Torbor, & Coleman at LB, with McKelvin, Florence, Corner, Whitner, and Byrd in the backfield. In dime, Wilson or Scott would come in for Coleman. So only 1 true D lineman on the field. DBs and LBs would be standing at the LOS and some would blitz, some would drop.

It was quite effective in creating confusion.

Thats interesting.. I never even noticed it, thanks for pointing it out..Glad to see there trying to get creative..

  5. agreed with this post. in today's NFL, it's impossible to place blame for certain things without knowing the defense that was called and the player's assignment.

Donte had a great game, I know that much from watching. Edwards made suspect calls that entire drive.

    Who knows??...

Also maybe Poz, should of said, Oh S%^& wait, Time out...! Or looked back and said " hey Donte you see who I'm trying to cover here, how about you roll your coverage towards me and get my back..!"...Or Poz could have yelled over to the Def. Corr, or Chan, and said "is this right"..? I'm sure someone would of said "Hell No Poz.!"..

Anyway I love the Bills and hopefully they see that on film and laugh and say "Next time that happens change the damn defense Poz.>!"...Or whoever...

  6. We don't know what Whitner's job was on that play, Maybe his job wasn't to cover the middle of the field, maybe it was Bryd's or nones..I think's its more the defensive corr. fault for putting Poz in a losing situation, coaches always talk about putting there players in winning situations, I don't see Poz covering the best receiver on the field down field as a winning situation.. I'm sure you don't like Whitner which is why you blame him, but how do we know what Whitner's job was on that play..?

  7. Counting last year, Fitz has now played in 17 games for the Bills. He is certainly better than Trent Edwards, but I agree with the poster. He has a very hard time throwing the ball accurately. He has missed some very imnportant throws and thrown some bad INT's. That is why Cincinnati let him walk and that is why the Bills should do the same. I enjoy watching him because he is able to put some points up on occasion, but he is not the answer in the long term. He is definitely an improvement over the last two QB's, but he is just not going to lead the team to the playoffs. He has the heart, just not the physical skills to do it.

I wouldn't count last years games, no one could have been very good in that offense.I don't see him as the QB of the future either, however I think he is getting better, and coming along in the new offense..How long has it been since we actually watched a desent offense, sure there not gonna have a great game every week, even Payton Manning didn't throw a touchdown last week and had a crappy game, but Fitz is playing well enough to draft a rookie and let him sit under Fitz for a year...

  8. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on the Quarterback situation in Buffalo. Personally, I have seen enough. I didn't say much because I needed to see 4 or 5 more games in Buffalo. I saw 4 games with the Bengals about 10 with Buffalo.

I am not going to make excuses anymore. This guy reminds me of rookie cop at the firing range that shoots out the water cooler.

I hope he gets better but if he doesn't I still want to see Brian Brohm or draft a new QB.

Should you decide to stick with Brohm, I wish you well!

You saw about 10 games..? Haven't they only played 9, or are you from the future.? Ok, So must be I just gave it away, if your from the future, and your watching Fitzpatrick there, then must be Fitzpatrick = Bills QB Of the future..!

  9. I watched a few run plays last game in slow motion, all 3 times the Right Tackle let his man make the tackle, on two plays he was supposed to block Urlacher and 1 timed woofed on him and the other time got driven into the gap and urlacher made the tackle after shedding off him. On the third time the right tackle was blocking the end lined up to his outside shoulder and again got driven back and the end shed off and made the tackle for a 2 yard gain... I don't think Fred is the problem, I think it's the right tackle that sucks, I couldn't read the name and didn't really watch to see who it was anyway, but it must of been Howard or the other guy that spells him once in awhile...

I also want to note that the two times he was supposed to block Urlacher that if he had done his job and blocked him Fred had alot of daylight ahead of him, instead of a 1 yard gain or no gain Fred would have had atleast 8 yards...Thats the diffrence between a R that sucks and a good RT, we definitly need to draft a RT, Bell actually is play the run and pass well..

  10. 11. Even though we havn't won a game, I've noticed something different about myself while watching this year. I am not screaming at the screen for the idiotic play calling. In fact, I have been pleasantly surprised of late at the innovative calls. We certainly have our issues, but this is one area in which I think we have vastly improved under Gailey. Chan seems to have it together in this area. Anybody disagree with me?

I said it before and I'll say it again, I rather watch this years 0-7 team then last years 6-10 team any day..!

  12. Florence is a solid tackler, which is more than McKelvin can say. McKelvin also seems to have "stiff hips," which is deadly for a cornerback. Watch him react to a WR's break - he's late coming out of his own break - he does not get his hips around in time, and as a result, the WR gets separation. McKelvin also has poor technique on things like fades, pumps, and jump balls, which is simply inexcusable for someone who has been in the league for a few years.

McGee is our best cornerback, but he is injury-prone and should've been IR'd this season.

I agree McGee is our best, but I meant while he's out..I don't know maybe I only watch Florence because I think he sucks..Remember Mckelvin is really in his first full year of playing corner...I still like him even if you don't like his hips...

  13. Their seasons are done.........

I really appreciate what Parrish has done this year. Nice to finally see him used correctly for the most part. I will be excited to have him back next year.

Not sure what to say about Davis. Good effort. Like the guy. Just a part of a well below average LB group we have.

    Get well soon, guys!

You got a Linky..? This sucks..! Davis I can live without, But Parrish you just gotta Love the little guy...Hope Nelson can fill his shoes..

  14. McKelvin is a bust, I'll say it. He has shown almost zero improvement since coming into the league. The Bears went after him all day yesterday (with their scrub receivers).

Are you kidding my Buddy..! McKelvin is not a bust, he's probably our best corner..When a QB get's 5-6 seconds to throw the ball what do you expect..How about Florence who gets beat repeatedly, and not to mentions get a couple holding penalties a game..Anyone would have a bad game when covering an NFL receiver for 6 seconds..

  15. I agree and been thinking the same thing the past week or so..My son hates the Bills and never watches them, yet last weekend he couldn't resist and watched the game with me and said they actually didn't look bad..! Now thats alot coming from a 15 year old who has always seen the bills boring teams.>! I think because the players are playing hard, and the offense seems to be exciting people, that it is creating a bit of a frenzie..!

BUT Lets remember, just as we get excited when there looking good, they still suck and its going to be a couple years before we have any chance at playoffs ( Maybe next year ) so lets not get too down when they have a bad game....

  16. All I am looking for at this point is improvement from week to week < I understand at points in the game they will look better than other points but Gailey's offense seems to be taking the correct steps and the defense sucks but they did keep Kansas City's score down and had a couple big stops..So to me I just want to watch an exciting game and see improvements which at this point I have done..A win would be icing on the cake, but we played some tough teams and hung in there...I like the look of the Bills, they look better than the previous years even though the wins have not come yet, but I still Believe Gailey and Nix were the right choice for a rebuild team...There is no question we need a QB, atleast to sit behind Fitz for a year and learn....Weather thats in round 1 or 2 I don't know but then again we need the top 11 picks in the first round to improve the defense..!

  17. They were still laughing at Whitner, though--- all the way to the endzone.

So your saying it was Whitner's fault we lost..? To me that is a ridiculous comment.. It takes 11 guys to stop a ply on defense, not one guy...Lots of people made mistakes, two interceptions, two fumbles, even the ref's made bad calls...I'm sure Chan would have liked to change from a spread offense in the second half and came out running instead too..! Hell even I made a mistake Sunday, I made Chili and had no bread to go with it.! Should I lose my cooking privileges in my house now..?

  18. And the sack was for zero yards, mostly as Ray Lewis got to Ryan Fitzpatrick after he decided to scramble, but before he quite crossed the line of scrimmage. That wasn't on the line.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't it Spiller that missed Ray coming through causing Fitz to scramble..? Hammering your point that it was not the lines fault, and by no means am I slamming Spiller, just saying he missed one..All in all though I agree the line was very good considering the talent they were playing against..I think it was there best performance of the year, even the run game was not that bad..But I don't have stats to back up the run game, just going by memory...( didn't seem too bad ).
