  1. Read the article in the D&C and they touched on how the 90's no huddle created mismatches for D's. The current no-huddle has not done this at all. Thinking back on the season so far, I can't think of a single play where T.O. Evans or Freddy went in motion before the play to line up against a mismatch. Am I crazy or is this really not happening and was Turk right about a pop-warner offense?
  2. TE has had so many different coordinators who were obviously no good and a defensive minded head coach. There is no one on that coaching staff that knows how to groom QB's. TE has shown that he can be a good QB, I think what needs to be examined is what was different from the 5-1 TE of last year to the 7-9/1-3 TE we have now. I think it's that the weight of the O is put on him, emphasis on him, not him and the O-line. Essentially the coaching staff is asking him to do more with less. I also think ditching the no huddle and slowing down the O would help both the O and especially the D.
  3. Harris will be playing SS Sunday if needed.
  4. Why don't we get Maybin on the field as a LB. Schoebel and especially Kelsay are two of the few bright spots on the team this year. With Denney also playing well as a spell for either of them why not get Maybin on the field. Mitchell is now playing MLB, with Ellison and Buggs at OLB. Buggs is from the practice squad and has been getting eaten alive on Sundays. I have to think that Maybin has got to be better than Buggs, especially now that Mitchell is in the Middle. Isn't that why Buffalo drafted him, because he was a slash coming out of Penn St.?
  5. was listening to shope and the bulldog the other day, they made it sound like losman was who they really wanted
  6. However, I wouldn't mind seeing a Parish trade for a DB, LB, or OL, he's buried in the depth chart at WR and Freddy can start returning kicks now that Marshawn is back.
  7. At this point, even if the front office does decide to bag the season and really start rebuilding, I'm not confident that if we do get some 1-3rd round picks that they would draft the right guys. (i.e. Losman instead of Big Ben, Whitner over Ngata... so on and so forth)
  8. Other than AVP is there anyone in the bills organization that knows how to coach QB's? If there isn't herein lays yet another problem.
  9. We all love Marv to death but this isn't the same league as it was when he was coaching, coaches are getting younger. Look at how well Harbaugh and McDaniels (so far) are doing. Look at Tomlin. 56 percent of the league's head coaches are under 50. Now I'm not necessarily saying Buffalo needs to go after a young coach somewhere, just pointing out that 66 is awfully old in todays NFL.
  10. in 22 years of coaching shottenheimer finished 1 or 2 in his division 17 times, but at 66 he's probably to old to want to get back in to coaching,
  11. After cooling down a little after watching our practice squad O-line and Secondary yesterday I've come to the conclusion that Ralph and the front office is to blame for this crap we get to watch every Sunday. What's so frustrating is that the only thing we can really do as fans is stop buying tickets and merchandise to show that we won't support this. For Bills fans this is the hardest thing to do. It's a lose-lose situation we are in, if we keep buying tickets and merchandise nothing changes. If we stop buying, we risk the team staying in Buffalo. There is some upside, Ralph isn't going to be the owner much longer. He has brought us great memories but sometimes you need to cut your losses. He's in the hall of fame, it's too bad he doesn't have a Super Bowl Championship to his credit. But he needs to realize the way things are going now, he's never going to get one. Step down Ralph, let someone else take over. This team needs to clean house from top to bottom, the Fins did it, the Jets and Broncos are doing it, Arizona came a drive away from winning the Superbowl, and these are just examples from the last year or so. We haven't been able to do it in the past 10 years. The one constant factor that has remained through those 10 years, Ralph Wilson.
  12. couldn't agree more. it sickens me how I have been a bills fan my whole life and after that game i just feel numb. still a fan, will still go to the games, but i feel like a zombie, just like ralph.
  13. I agree and it has something to do with time of possession, teams haven't been able to run against us so they are forced/choose to pass, and we let Brady throw underneath the whole 4th quarter in week one.
  14. I'm sure one of the major factors in those decisions was bringing in guys that are young and healthy, the bills can't afford nagging injuries like they had last year. That's why Bowen's gone Also, how can you not like Stupar, kid was money in preseason.
