  1. In actuality, Whitner is considered one of the leaders on defense. the team.

Leader of a team with one of the worst defenses in the nfl for the last 6 years...(his whole career). He couldn't cover Steven Hawking. He enjoys spending time rolling around getting tased all over Cleveland when he is not getting trucked by Slammin Sammy Morris. We desperately need to resign this team "leader".

  2. If Poz sucks so bad then why did he not only lead the team in tackles this year but he is consistently at the top of that list every year !!! HMMMM riddle me that billman .

That's why Poz is at the top of the list besides he's a lot younger too & can be around longer . Next year if Merriman stays healthy add Poz , & Moats even with Kelsay we will see a big difference you can't expect the guy to do it all by him self !!

Plus the only pressure up front was Williams after Dwan went down give Poz a break !!

Poz has already had a couple of breaks!

  3. You truly believe this? If you do then you're TERRIBLY mistaken.

Teams attempted a total of 473 passes against us. That's 31st in the NFL.Teams scored a total of 28 TD passes against us which is 6th MOST in the NFL.

Just think about that for a second. Teams that barely throws against us, throw for THAT many touchdowns?

We ranked tied for 28th in the NFL in INT's (3RD WORST IN NFL). Allowing 26.6 ppg which is 5th most in the league.

QB who throw against us have an average rating of 92.6. Which is the 5th highest QB rating in the NFL.

You think that we still have the best pass defense in the league? HA !!!

If we were smart, we shouldve given Greer the money and kept him.

    WEAK!

  4. Florence had a lot fo penalties this season and his overall play regressed from 2009. People are simply wowed by him because he got luckey enough to score a couple of TDs.

He's as good as gone anyways. During locker clean out he said he's excited about being a FA and he's "open to returning" which means he's getting the hell out of here ASAP.

I thought he was the best cover corner since last year...not cause of his TD's (one of which a fumble return). Money talks....look at Shawne Maria-man.

  5. Clearly our best conerback-actually our best DB-on one of the best pass defenses in the league, yet I read nothing about how he is our top free agent. Poz was the QB of one of the worst run D's of all time (and can't cover) and most people think hes our top FA why?

  6. If I am the general manager....This is what I would do. (This comes from watching everyplay this year and the past 15) This is my opinion, and a realistic look at the starters and possible moves the Bills could make. I think they could be a wild card team with this roster, and will be fun to watch. Not gonna list every player, mostly starters.

QB-Fitz and Brown. Fitz can get it done. Tough and scrappy. Mite as well let Brown develope into a backup, seems to have some tools.

    FB-The Black Terminator.

RB-Jackson and Spiller. Jackson is solid. Chan wanted a "water bug" back, now figure out how to use him. Has big play ability and speed.

WR-Johnson, FA, Parrish, Nelson, Jones. Johnson has shown he is a # 1 WR. Parrish finally looks like a WR. Nelson and Jones are provide young depth and size.

TE-FA, Stupar. Nelson is aparentley not in Chans plans, lazy, not a good blocker, 3 catches. Stupar is a solid all around backup. There should be some good FA tight ends avaliable. We are not the best at drafting them historically.

OL-Bell, Levitre, Hang, Wood, Rookie. Need to improve on both run and pass blocking. Didn't give up alot of sacks. Give Fitz more time to disect the D. Line showed good improvement. Good, young depth for next year.

    4-3 D

DL-1st pick Daquan Bowers, Kyle Williams, Stroud/Edwards, Kelsey. Very weak last year. Obvious pick in my opinion if Bowers is still on the Board. Kelsey has looked good when lined up at DE. Stroud has looked awful at DE, but good at his natural position. Need a D coordinator who knows how to stop the run.

LB-Moats, Poz, FA.Moats is astud. Poz is not spectacular, but a solid MLB. Sign a top FA OLB.

CB-McKelvin, Florence, Corner. Florence has been are bestCBthis year. McKelvin needs to be more consistant, but gets a bad rap. Time to start getting max value out of our 1st round picks.

    S-Bryd, Wilson/Scot. Rookie.

Cut- Evans, Magee. Let Whitner walk, couldn't cover Oprah on a bad day. Let Maybin do something since he is on the hook for so much $ anyway. Maybe be the team massues or teach him how to paint kids faces.

    Heres to 2011!

  7. Both out for the year. Not that they were expected to be superstars, but realistically this is the worst roster we have had since we went 3-13. Also i think it is pathetic that there is nothing about this on the Bills official website. Chris Brown must have been to tired to put it up after practice. Another crappy job by a crappy reporter. Alright all of you jauron/whitner fans......tear it up!

  8. He said Thigpen played out of the shotgun most of the time. Learn to read. Adult illiteracy is a sad sad thing.

"The majority of time the Chiefs were running a pistol offense, with Thigpen in shotgun. That is not the offense we're running at all." -is what he said.

So there you have it dumass. He was making a point that we are not running that offense and there for are not running out of the shotgun. Which he would be wrong about.

  9. I'll give you this...you're resilient. You think after the first time you were wrong you may kind of tucked your tail between your legs, but you are going to prove DW was wrong, whether you are right or not.

Also...he didn't celebrate, he told Cooley he'd get it again, which is exactly what he should have done. If Cooley is in that position again, and remembers the hit, he might hear footsteps. Good Safety play...but you can turn it into your crusade against Whitner.

He did celebrarte but that is besides the point. You prob have not been a fan long enough to remember this-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAHWsKoSN7M. GAME. SET. MATCH. $HITNER SUCKS. Gettn trucked by Sammy Morris = HA HA. Maybe that happened because they were always asking him to play out of position.

  10. Calm down, dude. I'm not saying Whitner is a baller or anything like that, I'm just saying he's a keeper for this team.

BTW. I think Whitner will have his best year yet.

Hmmm. Is that because he let a tight end make a 25 yard catch on the part of the field he was suppose to be covering? Your right he did have a pretty sweet celebration after, much like Maybin after he makes such a stellar play. I see it now, $hitner has sucked his whole career because he was playing in the Tampa 2. But after seeing how he wreaked havoc with his celebrations on friday I agree, he is due for a great year.

  11. Keepers

Spiller, Jackson, Lynch, Wood, Levitre, Evans, Parrish (return ability), K. Williams, Dwan Edwards, Stroud, Poz, McGee, Florence, Byrd, Whitner, Wilson, Scott, Lindell, and Moorman

    Sleepers

Bell, Meredith, Steve Johnson, David Nelson, Shawn Nelson, Carrington, Troup, Coleman, Batten, McKelvin, and Calloway.

    Straight Trash

Trent Edwards, Fitzpatrick, Brohm, Chambers, and pretty much everyone else.

Pretty damn accurate 2 me!....................O wait you said $hitner was a keeper. Please delete this thread.

  12. Since you missed the game, you also missed the 3 QB pressures/hurries Whitner had coming on blitzes. You also missed the fact that Wilson and Scott looked terrible out there. Scott was slow and one dimensional, like usual. Wilson struggled.

Hate him all you want, but he's the best safety on our roster.

Ha ha Bryd had more int his rookie season than $hinter has had his whole pathetic career. But he does hit hard 25 yards down the field after the the wr/te catches right in front of him! He reminds me of an older Aaron Maybin with the great celebrations.

  13. Not really. Gailey catered an offense around Tyler Thigpen because Brodie Croyle was made of glass, and Thigpen was not familiar with how to run a NFL style offense. The majority of time the Chiefs were running a pistol offense, with Thigpen in shotgun. That is not the offense we're running at all. Oh and Thigpen was something like 1-14 as a starter

Wrong on almost every account......but thats ok.

  14. Not a chance. Whitner is a good safety. You might hold it against him forever that he was drafted so high, but he is a good player. With a little coaching we might see something very strange...player progression!! I have seen this on TV....players that a team drafts actually get better over time. I am very excited at the prospect.

    Nope.......whitner Sucks

  15. It would be easy to call this crazy, but I don't think it is far off.

The major difference I see is that I don't believe Gailey was in the equation and/or made the call for the Brohm move.

I think Nix was definitely brought here to take over at GM and run the show once Dickie floundered. I think it was Nix that wanted Brohm. I have heard that Nix has deep ties to schools in the south, and that he was a big reason we picked up Nelson and Wood. GB was trying to get away with one hiding Brohm on the PS. They needed extra depth at OL, so they only carried 2 QBs. After a brief preseason, in which he had serious confidence issues, Brohm was the one they thought they could stash on the PS.

I don't remember the exact amount that Brohm is making, but it is millions...he is not here for the league minimum. GB matching that offer is significant, although it is continually downplayed by posters. The kid was a highly recruited HS QB, and was very successful in college. He has the tools, and unlike TE or RF, he looks like a QB.

I hope he wins the job, and gives us something to cheer for.

    Amen
