We shouldn't overlook Owen Daniels. He's a behind the shoulder pass catcher which our D has trouble defending.

I saw more passes to WR's than RB's today. I liked that they went downfield in the 2nd half. I would give Fitz another try to rest TE's noggin. And does it bother anyone else that TE is so freaking fragile?
But lets not kid ourselves, both are at best backups. We're stuck with them for now so I support them, but we need to think long term for QB

Didn't hear defense chants, and when they panned the crowd didn't see much red. But you could hear the cheers on the ints and scores. It probably threw the home team off a little. I wasn't expecting it.

Denney and Schobel need to be put on the block. Despite what they may have done in the past, I see nothing wrong with putting them on the trading block and getting actual pass rushers instead of light weights

Its my fault. I was so disappointed after last season, that I prayed that if we were going to suck this year, they'd do it right out of the gate and not drop 8 games in last half of the season.
If we can somehow stop the Panthers running game and manage some offense, we could roll the Panthers, then Texans the following Sunday and be a fortunately .500 team.
I know, I know. Its too much to ask. A man can dream.

Instead of worrying about a new, better helmet. Why not think about actually changing protections , pass plays and O linemen.
Payton Manning takes the fewest sacks in the NFL for several reasons, quick release, passing plays designed to get the ball out in 3-4 seconds and and offensive line that actually can protect long enough to allow him to make plays.
That concussion that Edwards suffered in Arizona, that safety came clean on him, nobody was even close to blocking him. When an offense fails to pick up a safety blitz like that one, it is a result of the entire offense failing to do its job, in a spectacular fashion. That one play changed the course of the game and the Buffalo Bills entire season.

I say 17-14 Buffalo. They'll try to air it out to Smith when we put 8 men in the box but everyone forgets that Jake Delhomme is old Drew Bledsoe in a Panthers uniform. He'll get picked off a couple of times once for points. However they'll get two long runs like in the Jets game. The win comes on some kind of special teams play.

If its a close game I hope it doesnt come down to Lindell. He's missed more game ending field goals than made.

You have to admit that one thing the Bills can do is make opposing teams play down to our level. with the exception of the 4th quarter of the Saints game, we have kept it close.

Move a DB to LB? I don't think a 5'11" 185 pound linebacker would scare opposing offenses

Grew up in western NY but left at soon as I was able. Sabres and Bills stuck with me because the uniforms were awesome. I think both teams were trying to tell me something by changing them. (Why the Sabres changed their red and black uniforms is beyond me)
I live in VA now and it seems the Redskins have the same issues. Both teams had a great start last year but blew the last half of the season and missed playoffs. I wonder who will be fired first Jim Zorn or Dick Jauron? I hope it is Buffalo who makes the right move.
