  1. Riley is what sports journalism should aspire to.

Remember, this is the guy who said "Sure it's sad that the Bills never won a Super Bowl, but I'm not sure they ever deserved to"........ He is a good journalist and what he said might be true, but I will always have just a little bit of hatred in my heart for him for that comment.

  2. Agreed.

I think the Jags and Rams have a much higher possibility of moving than the Bills. The Jags have blacked out their entire season. Thats a joke. They should and probably will be the rist team to move. They can go to Toronto and we can switch the divisions around a little bit to have a Great Lakes Division. Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo, Toronto

Much better division would be the "Rustbelt Division". Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Buffalo, Cinci

  3. Bills just replaced roscoe as their punt returner (actually they did last week) and I have no idea why. Other than being the most exciting punt returner in the league next to josh cribbs, he's the only thing other than Brian Mooreman on the team that fans have to get excited about. I know it's probably because of his complaining and the way he played during the Browns game that he got benched but I think both are dumb reasons.

In the Browns game there was absolutely nothing going on all game. When roscoe fumbled that punt he was trying to create a spark which otherwise would have never been ignited. Yes the bills lost that game and you could say it was because of roscoe, but I highly doubt anything would have happened with the offense if he just let the ball go.

He also has the right to complain, even if he was somehow the #1 receiver on the team. Going into this season the Bills had argueably the best wr core in the league. You can't tell me that Lee Evans wouldn't have 80-100 catches a season if he played for any other team in the league other than the Raiders, or that TO finally hit the age where he can no longer be productive. It's all the offense, coaching, and qb. Roscoe has a right to complain and I wish Lee, TO and company would grow a pair and do so also.

Benching roscoe is just another step in the wrong direction that this organization is taking.

  4. ...NO, not THAT J.P., I'm talking about Julius Peppers. Personally, this situation scares the hell outta me! This is one of, if not, THE most dominant DE's in the league, against our o-line, and, whoever Buffalo suits up for "this week". Fitz will likely start, which scares me even more. Can you say: "Dial up screen-passes ALL DAY"??? Nah, too easy for Ivy league coach and QB. This week Trent will be better off not playing. Cuz concussion #3 would probably happen this week, and he'd end up forgetting where he lived like the much cuncussed Merrill Hoge did back in the day.

Sit it out Trent, let Mr. "Savior" Fitzpatrick get schalaqued, so we can end all this rediculous talk about Fitz being the starter.

    PLEASE!

How is the talk about Fitz being a starter rediculous?? Trent's no Kyle Orton out there and it's not like he can do any worse than trent has been doing the past 4 weeks. Also no one is calling Fitzpatric the "Savior"... I think you need to take a chill pill and relax.

  5. because the futility of rooting for a team whose owner is happy to field utter **** year after year is getting to be too much. they're going to be gone in a a few years anyway. maybe he should put us all out of our misery. there is no point in pretending the team will ever be good again while he owns it.

Fans like you really piss me off. How could you root for your team to move?? I'd gladly deal with a mediocre team for the rest of my life than to not have a team at all. For me I have enough memories of good times in the past and hanging out every sunday with family and friends which always makes me look forward to football season.

Go jump on a bandwagon and become a pats fan.

  6. Did anybody at the game notice all of the players in their coats the final 2:00 minutes of the game? A lot has changed since the kelly, reed, thurman and bruce days, but seeing the lack of enthusiasm in a close but boring game really made me mad. If i was jauron knowing that he was probably done as a coach i would have walked up and down the sideline calling out players who were wearing coats: "you don't want to play!? you're cut!". Majority of the team just wants to collect their paychecks and get the hell off the field.

I know this is the NFL and not high school but right now I'm not sure there's much of a difference.

  7. The game yesterday was one of the worst/most boring game I've seen in a while. One thing that was somewhat exciting and always is, was watching Roscoe on returns. How can a guy like this not be involved in the offense more? There's no way he wouldn't make a difference if the Bills designed specific screen plays to him. Captain Checkdown would love that quick pass and it might actually be effective.

Also what is the point of the no huddle? By the time the ball is snapped there is only a few seconds left on the play clock totally defeating the purpose of trying to catch the defense off guard, while limiting the communication of the offense. Why not just huddle? This is no K-gun

  8. looking at the first two games...

in new england fred jackson is avg 16 yds a catch but only saw 5 catchs

he doesnt run enough screens or play action passes

one of the few times the bills ran pa them had evans and owens open down the field and he ran 1 screen yesterday after alot of success running screens in new england

the offense has put up 17 in ne and 26

fails to give jackson enough breaks and fear of using omon imo

Are you kidding me? AVP's the man. The bills after 2 whole seasons are finally looking down the field. I loved the call to go deep to TO even though he dropped a perfectly thrown pass, and then on the very next play they went deep again to Lee. If you stretch the field the run game can thrive, and that's just what Jackson was able to do.

  9. Then riddle me this...why was Huard just released by one of the very few teams whose QB situation is even sketchier than ours?

I'd actually love to go back in time and have JP back for this season. He's a better firt for anything we have now. Trent can't/won't throw the ball long. We have at least 3 deep threats that will never catch a ball in the air that is thrown over 20 yards. JP sucked, but he did have a great deep ball. He actually tried to make things happen on the field, instead of always taking the easy way out by always going to the checkdown

  10. Damon Huard was released by the 49ers yersterday. I'm not saying the Bills "need this guy" or c'mon Russ bring him in, but he does have a ton of NFL experience and will not effect the locker room in a negative way. Maybe I remember his Dolphins days too well and that 2006 season with the Chiefs.

I'd be more comfortable with huard starting and trent as a backup

  11. On OTLs First Report today Bob Lee discussed teams who were in trouble of having games blacked out and having trouble selling season tickets. Jacksonville was thouroughly discussed but other teams mentioned were the Lions, Fins, and............... of course the BILLS. Did espn even do their research??? or do they just figure since our team has been so bad that we've had every game in the past 10 years blacked out??
