  1. I really hope the Bills stay away from Tebow. His abilities do not seem fit the NFL. Why would the BIlls want a guy that is having a hard time even staying on the Denver team? Every other day there is a rumor of him being traded, cut, bumped down to third string. I know he played his heart out in college, and he has the Christian thing going, but all that doesn't mean squat if he can't play in the NFL.

  2. D has been horrible and will be our downfall. Bunch of punks better step it up, big losers. All need kick in their fat asses.

Decaf? The Chiefs only scored 7 points, but yesterday wasn't good. That said, every team/unit has a bad day. I just feel that after yesterday, it would be nice if the D put a hurt on Brady with a pass rush and maybe with the DBs help, they can at least control the score to something reasonable. I am hoping for a 27 - 20 win.

  3. Two games in and we know the offense can score. I believe that they will be able to put points up against teh Patriots. But we can't expect Fitz and Co. to put up 30 or 40 every week. It simply isn't reasonable. Yesterday, the offense bailed the defense out after a miserable first half. This week, the defense needs to make a statement against a good team. It's their turn to man up and take some pressure off the offense.

  4. I remember hearing someone on one of the cable shows saying that without the mini-camps, a lot of players wouldn't be in top shape early in the year. Whoever it was predicted a lot of cramping and hamstrings early. And we have certainly seen that all over the NFL.

  5. I saw the thread on the worst moment I've had and thought, too, that this feels like a time to think of the best moment. I feel good about this team now. I want to think about good things. The Miami game was the first thing I thought about, too. Good times. I kinda get that vibe again with this team. It isn't so much I know it, but I feel it. When Kelly dove over that goal line, after I stopped screaming, I said this is gonna be special. I'm starting to get that feeling again. It wasn't so much that I knew they were going to go to a Super Bowl (or four), but I knew then they were a good team. I'm getting that feeling back.

  6. I can't imagine what Easley must feel like if he is reading this stuff. He is ill. That is what Gailey said. And he felt that since it was illness not injury, it wasn't the Bills' place to discuss it. Classy. If Easley wants to talk about it, that's his business. But the Bills have no comment other than the IR. Some have suggested it may be a discipline issue, others reject that idea. I, also, reject it. Discipline would be handled by suspension not the IR. Now we should all step back and wish the young man well. Really.

  7. I really hate the Patriots. That said, Tom Brady is one of the best to ever play the position. It was amazing to watch him - and the Patriots, damn it - play tonight. I had the same feeling when I used to watch Montana. I know it sounds crazy, but we'll miss him when he's gone.

  8. People sure do B word a lot about something they don't listen to!

I love the Bills. I like to listen to sports talk in the car, and I would rather listen to Bills talk. So I listen to these idiots. Give me a choice - a Rochester channel I can get (1280 - DiTullio), and I will go there. But Rochester isn't Buffalo. Their focus isn't the Bills, although they talk Bills a lot. I can't take these two anymore. I would rather listen to rock & roll.

  9. Last year, the Bills were 4-12. They got beat soundly seven times (some with T. Edwards at QB). They lost two close games (Miami and Chicago) by a total of eight points. And they lost three games in OT to the Ravens, Chiefs and Steelers. (Two of those teams are pretty damn good.) If the ball bounced a bit differently, the Bills could have easily been 7-9 again with some wins against quality teams. But this is not last year. The Bills are a better team this year. I expect the Bills' defense to be much improved. I never was sold on Poz; Barnett is a better fit. Dareus is a beast in there. Merriman is a huge upgrade, and if he does get injured, I think Moats is gonna be very good, too. Moats might even overtake Kelsay for one of the OLB spots. Could you imagine Dareus-Williams-Edwards and Moats-Barnett-Davis-Merriman? They will be much better against both the run and the pass. On offense, Fitz is the man. He ranked out 16th out of the 32 QB's last year. That isn't top ten, but it is at least solid, and I expect him to be better, too. CJ will, no doubt, improve. And who knows how good the WR's will turn out to be. They looked pretty good toward the end of last year. Smith is a wildcat wildcard, and that leaves the OL. Although still a weak spot, I expect it will be at least as good as last year. Overall, I hope for at least 8-8. Maybe they will really make us proud and go 10-6 or 11-5. I can dream. Usually a team surprises everyone. It could be the Bills. Who cares what Gannon says?

  10. The afternoon team of Schoop and Bulldog are a joke. Schoop doesn't know and doesn't care about football or the Bills. (He likes tennis.) All he really wants to do is rant about how the Bills organization doesn't care about winning. I don't buy that, and so it pisses me off when that is all Schoop says. It is the preseason. Don't pull me down. Grade out players; talk about schemes. In December, if and when the Bills are out of it, they can B word. Wilson may not want to spend too much money, but he does spend some money (Dockery anyone?), and I think NIx and Gailey want to win. Plus the players want to win, and I sure as hell want to win.

As for Evans, Chris Brown was on WHTK with DiTullio today. (I refuse to listen to Schoop anymore.) He said the Bills might, might get a 4th for Evans. Who would be happy with that, he asked. He said Evans has had two down years and is too one dimensional (deep ball). The team wants to work him underneath more. I think Evans has made a LOT of money running fly routes and not taking hits. He is quiet and does that one thing well. He does need to step up, but I don't see the Bills moving Evans.

  11. Someone once commented that there is a reason players are free agents. The reason is that their team didn't lock them up with a new deal. Simple. All the available FA's teams had that opportunity. Either the player thought the deal wasn't good enough and said no, like Whitner or Poz, or they weren't offered a deal. Either way, somebody, player or team, has the wrong idea about the player's value. So Poz goes to Jacksonville. The reason he was a free agent was that Buffalo didn't think he was worth the money. Barnett comes to Buffalo. Did Green Bay think he was getting slower? Did they have a better player on the roster? The point is all the FA are a gamble of sorts. Look at Hainsworth. He goes from the hundred million dollar man to a fifth rounder. Why? Right now, I'm trusting Nix.

  12. The Bills' site has this article about position groups going into camp. My first thought is that they have Kelsay listed as an OLB. Didn't everyone see last year that he can't play that position? He is serviceable at DE, but he can't play OLB.

  14. Poz is a good linebacker that is injury prone. Period. With the roster we have now, and the projected cap being $120 million plus, we should spend a bit to keep him. I wouldn't overspend, but the money is there. ILB is a position that needs to be upgraded in the future through FA or the draft, so I wouldn't stand pat after this either.
