1. A gal that works where I do  (Bills fan from Rochester) told me a rumor of a place arounf Alexandria/Fairfax known for great/authentic wings. She didn't have the name and now we are on the quest. Does anyone know where this place is?

How about Grevey's in Falls Church? They have something called the Buffalo Platter: "A Beef-on-Weck sandwich and a side of Buffalo wings. Served with fries, bleu cheese dressing, celery sticks and horseradish on the side. 9.95" B)

They also sell the B-o-W sandwich and wings (varying sizes) separately.

Used to be a great Bills bar. Now?...haven't been there in years.

  2. It depends on the law of the state, but you are probably looking at a reckless driving ticket.  You will pay court fees, the ticket (which will probably be quite a bit for 30mph), and your insurance will skyrocket.

    Pretty much screwed.

The only thing that will get you out of the ticket is if the cop doesn't show and you contest it.  I had it happen once when I was about 16...the cop showed.  I know a lot of people who say they have gone to court and the cop didn't show.  It's a toss up.

One thing you can do (again it depends on state) is go to a driver school.  I did that when I got my ticket.  Takes points off your license and some courts will even waive some of the court fees or ticket fee.  This could be a pain for you though, depending on where you are going to school/where you will be when the class happens/what county the ticket was given.

    Good luck.

Right, it is more that likely a "reckless driving" charge. Try to plead it down to "improper driving" and request Driving School (it will only be one or two days). Other than your out of pocket for the class, you will make out much better. The ticket should not be entered into your record if you complete the course and you may actually end up with positive points on your record. As stated above, it varies from state to state. Good luck to you....and slow down! :P

  3. Cable Lady--

Who looks most like Broadway Joe?

    Haddad or Losman?

    15159

By default, it's got to be Haddad. Losman is a dead ringer for Adam Sandler.

I'd love to see Haddad make this squad, but I just don't think it's possible due to the numbers game...it would be nice to see a UB grad on the roster, though.

  4. Lyrics from a Lyle Lovett song called "She's Hot To Go."

Now I crept up from behind her

She looked so fine to me

But when I stepped around her man

    My eyes could plainly see

She was ugly from the front

She was ugly from the front

She was ugly from the front

    And I said ugly-ugly-ugly-ugly-ugly

Well I could handle it behind her

And I like it on the side

But don't make me look around her

    man 'cause she's

    Ugly-ugly-ugly-ugly-ugly

    15122

Oh, the irony...isn't that just like the pot calling the kettle black. Under no circumstances should Lyle Lovett be singing about or talking about anyone being ugly! Thank God he and Julia Roberts didn't procreate...talk about fugly!!!

  5. I want to see Bledsoe lead the first team to a TD. I know he may only get one or two chances at it, but the "this is only preseason" talk needs to settle a bit, as the real deal will be one week away at that point. I want to see him throw to someone besides Moulds (mainly Evans).  I am really starting to get worried that this offense is going to be as ineffective as last year. So, I really want them to show me someting this week.

Anyone else looking for anything in particular?

    14542

I want to see the first team O-line play a LOT to get some cohesion and timing. I'd also like to see the first team "O" punch it into the endzone on a sustained (relatively) mistake free drive.

  6. Please...put the headcovers on and show them off proudly.

Exactly...winning or losing matters not in whether or not you show your Bills pride. You're either a fan or you're not...others' opinions and snide comments be damned!!

    GO BILLS!!!

    Oh, yeah...welcome!

  7. I am not sure what the fan base on the wall is like....so here is a question for you:

If you had to choose between being able to watch only the NFL and no other Sports (MLB, NBA, NHL, Olympic Womens Volleyball   ...etc..)  for the rest of your life...

    or

Watch all other sports and no NFL...

    Which would you choose??

For me it is an easy choice.  I would take the NFL by itself in a heartbeat.

    13842

The NFL only, hands down. If (God forbid) the Bills ever leave Buffalo, this scenario would be the opposite for me...watch all other sports and no NFL.

  8. Boy, after all of those Ricky posts, it sure looks bad for us right now. I REALLY had hopes that this season was going to be a great one, and we'd sneak up on people. Now it looks as if everything we've worked hard for is going down the injury tubes.

PLEASE tell me this isn't happening... not NOW... I'm ready to cry.

I never thought we'd ACTALLY BE BILLSFANONE! *SIGH*

    I am DE-PRESSED.

    10636

Why because we lost two BACKUP QBs? They'll be replaced. We'll wait and see on Milloy...he says he wants to play in the JAX game. I wouldn't count him out, just yet.

Relax and take a deep breath. It ain't over 'til it's over and it ain't even begun yet!

    GO BILLS!!!

  9. I read on cbsposrtline fantasy that Griffith and Mike Anderson are in a dead heat, but on rotoworld.com it says Griffin is the CLEAR favortie to be the starting RB...does anyone have any insight into this? Im hearing 2 different reports... Any input is much appreciated.

    9163

Don't worry about it...the job is Griffin's to lose. Anderson severely injured his groin at the end of their game with the Texans. Grab Tatum Bell to go with Griffin, if you can, to cover yourself. Good luck.

  10. He broke his leg and what is done is done, but why does there have to be justification(like noted above) for why somebody breaking their leg is a good thing??

It's probably just your standard grieving process...

    -Shock :P

    -Denial :P

    -Anger & Guilt ;):D

    -Depression :(

    -Acceptance <_<

    -Empowerment :) B)

Most of the people with the response you stated are probably still in the denial stage...give it time. ;)
