  1. I put in a bid for Naanee, but he wasn't awarded to any team -- was he not a free agent?

  2. Setting power rankings in the pre-season is meaningless. There is no way to prove anyone is wrong until games are played, so everyone's rankings are perfectly valid until proven otherwise. I could easily spout some garbage justifying a #20 ranking for NE. Such rankings are safe too -- the reality is that no one cares enough to look back to assess the accuracy of the predictions. Come the regular season, the rankings change every week. If Prisco ranks the Bills at #30 before week 1, he can easily move them up to #15 after only one or two victories. He would no doubt argue that he wasn't wrong when he ranked them at #30, they just improved over time. I put as much stock in Prisco's rankings as I do in my wife's promises not to spend money.
  3. Why does it seem that nowadays players are defined as busts if they don't make the pro bowl as rookies. At the TE position, it is very rare for any TE to truly have a huge impact. Give the kid a few years and see if he blossoms. Not every player is going to be a high impact player in 1 or 2 seasons. Fans are wau too short-sighted.
  4. Edwards will never be confused with Cutler or Big Ben, but he has more than enough arm strength to make all the throws needed to be a quality NFL starting QB. He can throw the deep out, the seam route and the bomb well enough to lead this team to the playoffs. He should not be asked to throw as much as Manning or Romo -- he just needs to be smart, accurate and, on occasion, throw the deep ball far enough for TO and Evans to run under it (he has already proven that he can throw deep enough to hook up with Evans). Arm strength is important, but so are smarts, quick release, mobility and leadership -- Edwards has plenty of these traits.
