  1. i definitely think we have the best corners in our division as well as recieving core. i am going to brag for a minute... look at our corners - mcgee (arguabley the best corner in our division), mckelvin (no corner in our division has more potential, the jets would gladly give up revis for mckelvins talents), corner (talk about a guy who came from nowhere, the guy wasnt even invited to the combine and was making big plays the second half of the season and easily could be the nickle back), drayton florence ( i love this guy, i am sorry he had a bad year last year, but he is young and when he was with SD he was a ballhawking playmaker and we got him for a steal, he could be the nickle DB or a starter if someone went down, but he would start for miami or NYJ right away if they had him, and he is on boddens level in my opinion), youboty (guy has all the talent in the world as shown last preseason, he just has to find a way to stay healthy long enough for it to show in the regular season over a full season) put these 5 guys against any of our division foes and i guarantee you will all agree. shawn springs is old and injury prone, revis is good but young and isnt a shutdown corner, will allen LOL will allen.
  2. so he is a franchise QB from his one strong pro bowl season? and who is he throwing to? i know you probably think the Juggernaut that is greg olson and matt forte are going to propel cutler to even newer heights (LOL) but reality bro is the vikings WON there division weather it be by 1 game or 4 and they ARE the better team. when NE went undefeated in the regular season they had alot of wins by less that one possession does that mean they really didnt go undefeated in the regular season? you can't honestly believe a 4th year QB with hardly any offensive talent around him is going to be better that a top 5 defense with the best running back in all of football and one of the best offensive lines in all of football with a reciever that barley has 50 catches and has just about over 1000 yards (big play berrian).
  3. not true at all, and bro seriously the bears will not be winning there division next year or taking second place in it either. the vikings are the class of that division easily and the packers will be second. maybe they can beat the lions for third place. we have a good chance. that article is from a chicago beat writer. you chris brown, or any of our local writers saying he will probably sign with the bears! lets see how it plays out.
  4. why are they out of it? just because chicago is a bigger market? if he chooses chicago you can bet that he took less money. i dont think the bills are out of it because they will have the bigger contract offer.
  5. its about money at this point. he only played for lovie for ONE SEASON so i dont buy the whole relationship thing, and the bears defense was horrible last year. also they are well known to be the cheapest team in the league when it comes to free agents that are not there own. the bills will have the best offer and less competition for the spot. and as far as the bears being the better team, they were no better than the bills last year and if we match the 2 teams on paper right now (since no games are being played to judge by) chicago has NO offense (cutler had a GREAT recieving core and the best offensive line system in the history of football, any of you could play running back for the broncos and get 1000 yards with there zone blocking scheme) matt forte and greg olsen are not going to carry the bears anywhere, where were they last year? and there defense is ok. tillman and vasher never stay healthy and honestly if you look at the stats they got burned ALOT last year, enough in fact that the bears where a team calling about rod hood. they have SO MUCH money tied up in urlacher and briggs (over 12 million a year between the 2) they are not going to offer anything substantial monetary to pisa. if the bills loose out on him now its not because of lovie smiths slow talking butt (remember this guy hasnt done anything in 3 seasons as a coach either, since a superbowl apperance the LOST) its because our front office didnt close the deal, period.
  6. http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/sports/p...nebacker-lenon/ if the pats sign lenon, no way pisa signs just to have more competition as a backup. chicago has not even offered him a deal yet. i think buffalo is going to get this guy!!!
  7. i agree. he is the only "starting" option out there. there are guys like morlon greenwood who have been starters there whole career but are very much on the decline out there but he is the only guy that actually makes us better from the moment he signs. while i dont think he is going to be a pro bowl type upgrade over ellison i do think he will be a noticeably significant upgrade over him. when we are watching games i think poz and mitchell will also look better from him being on the field because they wont have to basically run over to ellisons side everytime a play is there. the one thing we can all agree on if anything is that pisa is a tackling machine. he is known throughout the NFL as a guy who doesnt miss a tackle, that alone makes him a big ugrade over ellison because ellison misses a tackle or 2 every game.
  8. there has been multiple reports that he isnt going to visit the eagles and also there have been multiple reports how he doesnt fit there defense at all. they run the same defense spags is running in st. louis and they released him because he was too small for it.
  9. i agree. i think the best offer the bears would give him was hunter hillenmeyers salary. for instance they probably told pisa, they would cut hillenmeyer and give pisa his 1.5 million salary in a contract. no way the bears will give pisa more than hillenmeyer even if they cut him because urlacher and briggs both make over 6 million a year. mitchell makes aound 3.5 and poz doesnt even make a million a year under his rookie deal so we are in great shape to offer a starting linebacker caliber deal.
  10. i really think the bills will sign him. i now even think they would be willing to up an offer to get him there.
  11. i agree. this guy must be signed! he is the ideal fit and the best of all the free agent OLB's we have brought in. and honestly what is the sense of bringing in all these OLB's if we dont intend to sign any of them? i think we actually get this one.
