  1. Tebow led a team with a bad defense to a winning record to a playoff game and won with 300 yards passing against a good Piitsburgh team. Taylor has led a team with a bad defense to 2 back to back .500 seasons with virtually no playoff hopes and next to zero wins against any good teams.

    Who do you got?

Another day older and farther from the playoffs. Why don't we bring Bledsoe back? Or how about Marangi? Billy Joe Hobart too?

  2. Are you kidding me does everyone want more of the same next year :wallbash::thumbdown::bag:

As Donald Trump says, "It's time to drain the swamp". You guys are killing me. Keep Rex around for another year of mediocrity? He is nothing but a blowhard and now with his fat bro around, they are sucking the wind and life out of Western NY. Kick their lazy asses off to some other stupid team. Bring in a winning head coach. Not some lame brain that wins on occasion, but a superbowl winning coach. It's been over 20 years folks, get rid of the front office and start again! I'll be long dead at this rate before they make it into the Superbowl again.

  3.

What about the equally annoying "Obnoxiously Obtuse Optimists" ???
I am not exactly a doom-sayer, but come on... this team has wallowed in stupidity and played punching bag to the PayTiolets for the better part of two decades now. Exactly how does that even come close to inspiring any real optimism, especially when year after year, this board is alight with blind-faith, blue sky optimism with little more than a few roster moves, maybe a signing of a washed up high priced free agent, and a bunch of gutless puffy chested tweets from a few players about how great they think they are?
Before you reply and bash me, step back, and just look at the last 20 years of nonsense we've endured. If I'm even close to wrong, then I'll take my lumps.

I totally disagree with you! We have been wallowing in stupidity far longer than two decades. The Bills Super Bowl run was an aberration in their long and horrendous history. The Bills are perennial losers and have always hired from the bottom of the barrel for coaches. We never hire winning coaches; as it would seem the logical thing to do. Instead, we take the blowhards, the egomaniacs (Rex and company), the obtuse (Doug Marrone and Chan Gailey) and the train wrecks (Kay Stephenson and Hank Bullock). We blow millions of dollars on first round players but scant pennies on coaches. We couldn't beat the Dolphins during the 70's, then we couldn't beat any Superbowl contender in the late 80's and now we can't beat the Cheatriots. But give Bellicheat credit, his teams always seem to find a way to win when they are missing key players. We just blame "injuries, contracts and dumb luck".

    8-8 Just like normal.

  5. After watching the Four Falls of Buffalo I was rudely reminded that Bill Belichick was the Giants Defensive Coordinator who crashed the Bills K-Gun and robbed them of their First SuperBowl.

Granted a lot of partying was going on and the Bills were riding high after throwing down 51 against Oakland. These Bills were unstoppable, but Belichick through them for a loop with his 2-5 defense.

No one had seen a D like this and the Bills never really adjusted their tempo or game plan to exploit what the Giants were doing.

Twenty five years later that little scoundrel still has our number. He's confounded our coordinators for two decades, laying the Bills into a stupor and sending them into the wallowing halls of mediocracy.

When I think back on how many times he has out coached us, it turns my stomach a bit.

Watching the Four Falls was nostalgic but I couldn't help but think of what would have become of the Bills is they won that first one. I understand the 4th loss a little better and saw the pressure of 2 and 3. We may never see a run like that in the NFL again.

It made me proud to be a Buffalonian, but also very sad. Those were the days of my youth and all these years later seeing everyone come and go and still not a whiff of the glory. How I wish Rex could pull it together and get this team over the hump.

And just like Beebe knocking the ball out of Lett's hand, I will keep going, keep believing and keep following my beloved Bills.

Incorrect, the curse started with McKinley!

  6. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000616846/article/mike-mularkey-has-legitimate-chance-to-be-retained

If I'm Hugh Jackson I'm literally losing my freaking mind right now.

This dolt gets a THIRD shot at being a HC?

    What?

Titans are sitting on a situation that almost NEVER comes around. They have a young franchise QB AND the #1 overall pick. There is no better combination possible IMO.

They can either take the best skill position or defensive player (or even better) trade the pick for a boatload of goodies to some QB hungry team.

And they are going to waste all this on Mike Mularkey, whose career record is 18-39.

The fact is that the Bills are in a much better position with ownership AND coaching than many, many NFL teams.

Imagine being a Titans fan right now.

And were better off how? We have Rex and Whaley.

  7. We all bought the salesmanship of Rex with we will make playoffs wwe will be #1 defense etc. well we got a lemon for sure can we return the turd fr a refund? Pegula should have written something into Rex contract that required these statements to come true.

Who's we white man? Many of us warned you all about Rex and his mouth. He never lives up to his own expectations. To borrow a line from Dirty Harry "A man has got to know his limitations", and Rex has no concept of how inept he is. When I hear he is a great "players coach" I cringe. We don't need another player's coach, we need a leader and a real coach. Make them sweat, make them run and if they don't play well, you bench them. No more coddling the poor multimillion dollar player, you kick their ass like General Patton did. He won, Belicheat wins because they don't fear the owners or the players.

  8. I've been a Bills fan for 52 years and come to expect perennial losers. The Superbowl years were an aberration my friends. I've watched the winning teams of the 60's with Lou Saban, then watched him leave because he got into an argument with Ralph. I watched O.J. run all over the field, but the team never made the playoffs. I suffered through the Dolphins humiliating the Bills for decades and then Chuck Knox beating them once. The Bills are just down right terrible. Coaches come and go, but the Bills still lose.

Perhaps if McKinley had died in some other town, the Bills might win. Nearly everyone on here was thrilled with hiring Rex; I wanted to puke. He did the same thing to Buffalo that he did to NY...lose. In past years, we turned down what are now winning coaches for more losers. Perhaps Donald Trump was right, it was better to run for president than buy the Bills.

  9. Rex Ryan is a loud-mouth idiot. He will lead the Buffalo Bills nowhere. His first half tantrum on the sideline was embarrassing. He can't coach a football team - period!

And Tyrod Taylor is a back-up QB at best.

I agree with your statement about Rex, but I think Tyrod has a horrible OC that is limiting his potential.

  10. We don't need anymore "players coaches". We need someone that can win and keep his players in the game. Enough of the "snake bit" comments about players getting hurt. That happens in every team in the NFL. Rex can't coach, can't make decisions and blames everyone else but himself for the failure of the team. When he took over he said being a number 4 defense wasn't good enough; he wanted #1. Well, now we are #18 and falling quickly. Whaley and the Pegula's are behind this mess and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better for another decade.

  11. Everyone was so glad to see Rex take over, but I never liked the guy. We beat his Jets regularly over the past few years. Then he boasts that having a #4 defense wasn't good enough. Where have I heard that claim before? He was right, we dropped out and his defensive mind is apparently not even in the league with Cincinnati or New England. Can't we just once get a winning coach, not a coach that players want to play for? Winning coaches are mostly disliked by their players, because they ask too much of them. Instead we get the deadbeats who the players love, because they let them get away with crap.

  12. 4 Coaches, same result. Each of the past 4 Bills Coaches all promised to beat up on the Patriots and each time they punched us in the mouth. Last week the defense swarmed Andrew Luck, but this week; where were they? Very little pressure, wide open receivers...

It's getting to the point where even I wish the Bills would go away. Until you can beat up the Patriots, just shut the F up!

  13. I think he's getting at the possibility of the home team tampering with the gauge so it can read 13 PSI but really be 14 or 12 or watermelon. Assuming it's an analog gauge that is.

So? Both teams would then get the same benefit. All the footballs should be provided by the NFL at the beginning of the game. Screw the QB and the kickers. Let them be hard as rock.
