  1. The marketing comes with a guy like TO, who is still a top WR in the league. I disagree that the Bills looked at this as more of a marketing move than a move to help them on the field, again because they brought in other WR's.

    We needed more talent.. TO was that and more, I agree the boost in revenue won't help....

  2. Don't read many of my posts, eh? Of course he'll get signed; I'm just not thrilled with the company he's keeping.

    Regardless, your comments are laughable. Professional sports teams' front offices routinely make personnel decisions on the basis of fan commentary on message boards -- is that what you're suggesting? That's rich.

    :worthy: Yeah... I'm sure Ralf looks here daily...

    Like any recent reports on the Bills it's TO heavy. Got some Roscoe love going on too

    PK contradicts himself on the same page...

    On the OLine he states:

    But every spot on the offensive line will be manned by a different player than a year ago

    Then later in another TO blurb:

    Other than T.O., the Bills haven't changed much from last year's squad.

    I thought it was a good post. He did not say we were going to finish last... Everyone else including his partner at SI Don Banks says we will be in the bottom third.... I can not wait to stomp NE and show the NFL we are for real...

  4. I never bought it either given the premium the Bills place on all facets of special teams. Roscoe is a weapon, pure and simple, and makes teams pay when they kick to him. I can't count the number of times he's given us good field position. That said, he'll NEVER be a wideout because he's not strong enough and can't beat press coverage consistently. Nor is he the caliber of Reed in the slot given what that position demands from a physical standpoint. But he's worth keeping just for punt returns alone. I just hope he doesn't become too disgruntled. And maybe we'll find ourselves in game situations where we can get him the ball in creative ways offensively.

    GO BILLS!!!

    Exactly and he is paid very well to return punts!!!

  5. Even though the Bills have already opened up training camp and have the first pre-season game I still feel that football is so far away. I really don't care about Pre-season or training camp and I can't manufacture any sort of real interest in it. The only thing I care about as far as training camp is getting the draft picks signed.

    I mean real football that counts is still over a month and a half away. Monday September 14th seems so far away. Sure Pre-season games and the Madden Football game can wet my appetite for football but it all still seems so far away. But Pre-season doesn't hold much stock with me I only care that no one gets hurt and the team looks OK.

    Does any still feel as if the season is just still far away?

    NO WAY... Love waking up and seeing lots of articles to read and enjoy going to Rochester for training camp.... I wait all year for the bills to get back on the feild..

  6. The Bills have had CHOICE first round draft picks since the 2001 draft. Here's the harvest:

    * Nate Clements

    * Mike Williams

    * Willis McGahee

    * J.P. Losman

    * Lee Evans

    * John McCargo

    * Donte Whitner

    * Marshawn Lynch

    * Leodis McKelvin

    That should have been the core of our playoff aspirations.

    Pass the Mad Dog...

    Posistion wise they are smart picks for our needs.

    CB

    LT

    RB

    QB

    WR***

    DT***

    SS***

    RB***

    CB***

    Sad that the ast two picks needed to cover for former first rounders who left the bills...

  7. As in stadium appearance.... seats which I know are horrible at the ralph... and anything else you want to throw in there like food, parking, etc....

    The Ralf is PAID FOR!! That is a big Deal with this franchise's ability to compete with other teams. Also is a big deal for fans as we can afford to sit in the lower bowl, where other places are all company owned seating.

    I own an Event Company and there are a lot of bad facilities out there. Yes the Ralph does not have the concourses that others do and the RR lines are horrible. But the Seating and lines of site for the Game are very good. I would love for it to be a little easier to get in annd out and manuver around the concourses.

    There is no other place I would rather be on Sunday than "THE RALPH"

  8. It shouldn't suprise anyone that Lori and the Dean would talk like Dick Jauron, considering their names are Lori and Dean Jauron. Keep up the insightful posting, you guys are the best! And keep buying those season tickets so everyone else has to pay $75 dollars a ticket to watch a 7-9 team. :o

    75 is a bargain.... Quit crying and cough up some cash and get a set.............. of tickets, support the Bills!! I live in FL and have season tickets and make it to almost all of the games!!

  9. I don't care if they got rid of him or not, but if Byrd or someone else looks as good during training camp then I'd love to see them get a shot at starting. I find it funny that one of his big supporters here just stated that if you even debate Whitner's skills then you're a moron, then he goes on to describe him as just a "solid" football player! :rolleyes:

    Even his biggest supporters can't bring themselves to go beyond describing him as only "solid". He was the 8th pick in the draft and has done much less to help the Bills win in his career than Losman, who was drafted 18 spots lower. Sorry, but he's a third rounder kind of talent who was a major reach by the Bills. The pundits were right in laughing at that pick. I was hoping the Bills would be seen as the smart and crafty one's, but how foolish I was to think that. Initial gut reactions are generally the right reactions. Donte who??!! Real great pick there Marv and Dick. :thumbsup:

    PASS RUSH = INT We have not had any, therfore we dont have yhe INT's It is that Simple, Donte will deliver this year when he is not asked to play 6 posistions in the back feild....

  10. Lets see:

    1. None of our personnel fit the 3-4 defense

    2. Our defense is already good, and getting better

    3. It's becoming harder and harder to find the talent to run a 3-4 defense.

    4. There are less competitors for the top 4-3 talent.

    Perfect!

  11. Let us not forget that the Bills D was AWFUL 2 years ago. An Fewell brought us from 31 to 14 in ranked D. Now I know we never pressured the QB but I think we are only going to get better.

    Also I recognize that people on this board will be quick to say that Ellison and Whitner are awful and that Kelsey needs to be cut, however Our D should do very well. The Bend dont break D may bend very little this year......

  12. Watching some of the FIFA soccer match and just thought that if even 40,000 people were able to get some type of horn into the game it would be a nightmare for an offense...

    Can you imagine how much worse the Ralph would be. Besides all the drunks... now with horns...

  13. I can remember, without doing any research, at least two rookies who beat Peters clean for sacks last year. Groves from Jacksonville and Anderson from Miami beat him clean. So, in this instance for Graham to assert that the original poster is 'lying' is certainly irresponsible journalism on his part. Peters was being beaten regularly for sacks last year; it just so happened that occasionally, he was lined up against rookies when it happened.

    That being said, I do agree that Peters is extremely talented and, when he wasn't getting abused last year for sacks, he was playing pretty well. Further, one of the reasons he gave up so many sacks was that the Bills offensive scheme was designed to not give him any help, and he probably was matched up single-teamed against defensive ends more than any other left tackle.

    Yep! I was at both of thoose games and it was painful to watch!
