  1. Me too, he is an a$$-kicker and has a ton of NFL experience ... he also did a great job as the Dolphins interim HC
  2. Seriously, why in the world did we ever let P.W. slip away?!? Ultimately it came down to money, I suppose, but that guy was an absolute beast against the run and no slouch in the middle vs. the pass. In his last game for the Bills, he was all over the field making solo stops against the Steelers in that Bledsoe engineered season finale 'we-had-to-win-but-got-run-over-by-Willie-Parker game'
  3. Exactly, that's the classic move we all make if we should nod off in a meeting, class, etc. after burning the midnight oil for one reason or another. Make it look like we meant to flinch/nod the head. Great commentary on the clip by that DVR-savvy Packerfan.
  4. Did you watch the clip? He nodded off and definitely had a "startle-wake" ... then tried to cover it up with a "Dang, I'm pissed off!" move. Watch again and look at the coach next to him; it's almost like he didn't buy Capers' cover-up attempt.
  5. oops, sorry I only recently heard of this and thought I'd better share it just so others of my ilk could be amused
  6. Based on Marshawn's track record, I doubt this story is fabricated at all. This is the same guy who allegedly brought his own booze into bars ... I mean, who even does that? He is a punk, and he is at best a marginal NFL back. We can get anyone to back Freddie up that will do an as good or better job (what was his YPC?) Ask yourself, if he got every carry Freddie had this year, would he have topped 1,000 yards? I'd chalk him up for 600 yards max.
  7. He is my dark horse. His defenses are always tough, and after seeing him in action on Hard Knocks, I just get the feeling he will make a great head coach. Being from the Parcells tree is a rather nice bullet point to have on your resume'. For what its worth, I also enjoyed Billick when he was on Hard Knocks with the Ravens. Specifically, when officials had to delay a preseason affair versus the Eagles at the old Vet due to the poor condition of the turf >>> Billick hunted down the grounds crew and lit them up ... "Before I leave here, I want a name. Someone's ASS is coming with me in my briefcase!!!"
  8. You have to admit, it's much better than the Bills 50th anniversary logo and/or the team photo (sans Jauron)
  9. Exactly. My understanding is that Bill Belicheat is the current top dog @ 6 mil/yr, and Shanny just leapfrogged him (again) at roughly 7 mil/yr. I highly doubt Brandon's and/or Buddy's first statement to potential HC's is "... just to spark your interest, our owner is willing to pay you up to 10 mil/yr." I do think getting a blue-chip coach is well worth the big dollars it'll take, but upping the head coaching payscale by 3 or 4 mil/yr is a quantum leap. Snyder sure seems like the guy who would have had little trouble paying Shanny more than he just did. Plus, the Bills already did this to the average-at-best OG market when we coughed up $49 mil for Dockery, and that didn't exactly result in a good ROI.
  10. OK how about WR busts ... Bernard Ford Bucky Brooks heck, even former Cowboy Kevin Williams None could hold a candle to Flip Johnson But I think they all had roughly the same height/weight
  11. I'll go with some pasty RBs ... Rene Ingoglia Gordie Lockbaum and that jacked-up Army FB we heard so much about
  12. Dan Hicks locked up Hannah to a long-term deal back when she was working with Nick Charles, Fred Hickman, Van Earl Wright, etc. at CNN. By all accounts, she has definitely out-performed the terms of that original deal at this point. On a side note, I miss "The Play of the Day"
  13. Speaking of Fox Sports ... haven't the cyborg graphics and sound effects on their broadcasts run their course by now? We get it, football is a hard-hitting game
