  1. While this is a lot of dough, I agree with a previous poster that if we want to win we have to pay. LT is a difficult position to fill and even though Pace has been to several Pro bowls it appears he is injury prone. Pay Peters and be done with it. Maybe defer some money if that helps make it work. Incentives could be added as well although the Pro bowl one is probably not a good one since he seems to have gotten in based on history and may continue on that path based on Pro bowl voting patterns.
  2. unless he played the way he did for a good chunk of the season It never fails to amaze me that people forget how poorly he played for so much of 1999 The last Bills game I attended was Bills-Giants in 2000. We had the game won if our defense could have stopped them. Fluite's last game with Buffalo was perfect QB score, I can't believe your comment.
  3. I agree with most posters that TO will not and should not come to Buffalo. What about Bobby Engram and if he's released Torry Holt? I think an experienced receiver that can complement Evans would be worth a shot. I still have good memories of Lofton and even Billy Brooks. I know I am getting nostolgic, but that seems to be all we have these days.
  4. Is anyone sure Hardy will be available next year and even if he is its 50-50 he will ever be a starter? Coles is definitely a better option in my opinion.
  5. I don't have the stats in front of me, but I think Braxton got a 1000 that year and the Bills were over 3000 (a record at the time) Anybody know if that is still the record?
  6. Just saw an article on the selection of the all time Bills for the 50th anniversary team. From someone who has been around for most of those 50 years, I humbly submit my picks: QB Jim Kelly - although Kemp won a championship it was the old AFL (he had one chance for the first Super bowl and lost to the Chiefs) RB Thurman Thomas - OJ was probably better but ... FB Cookie Gilchrist - this guy annhilated other teams and Buffalo was never the same without him WRs Andre Reed, Jerry Butler & Bob Chandler TE Keith McKellar - last tight end with speed OL Stew Barber, Joe DeLamielluere, Reggie McKenzie, Kent Hull, Billy Shaw K Steve Christie - Gogolak left the Bills too soon or he might have been the pick P Brian Moorman - with a tip of the hat to Paul McGuire ST Steve Tasker - no contest Defensive nominees weren't given so I will hold off on the nominees.
