  1. I wonder if we'd grab the massive OG Duke Robinson here or maybe even grab TE Cornelius Ingraham for dramatic improvements of depth?
  2. So let me get this straight. We've just drafted starters at the following positions: RDE LG RG FS TE This is by far one of the best drafts we've had on paper in a long time. Great picks and I wonder if we'll use any of our remaining picks on a QB with more than few serviceable ones still out there. Part of wants us to pick Reilly so Jaworski WILL SHUT UP ABOUT HIM! Jesus!
  3. Sweet! Maclin!! Pettigrew still there! TRADE UP RUSS!
  4. Philly just traded up to Clevelands pick. Id guess to grab Pettigrew.
  5. Please God do not let us take Ayers over Orakpo if he's there at 11.
  6. I see Walker's tenure at LT to be a one year emergency stint. I also see Smith and Oher as very likely to be busts. One cant even stay in shape and the others middle name is inconsistent. Both are huge red flags for me.
  7. I guess I'm not looking at having Walker be the answer at LT as much as just being the bridge to the answer. Just to clarify I'm not an anti-Peters anything. I just think the guy was not the premiere LT that people like yourself have made him out to be. As far as telling me not voice or share an opinion on a message board that exists for doing just that or else you'll call me names that's pretty funny.
  8. While it might be a longshot there is a chance that we will have the opportunity to trade down if a player like Sanchez falls or someone wants to reach of a guy like Oher. With this team in need of critical upgrades at the following positions I really hope we take a team up on an offer to trade down if one arises: TE........We have next to nothing at this position. OT........While some may be in a panic about OT I think we'll be very surprised at the play of Walker and Byrd/Chambers. G or C..It looks like we have signed two serviceable C's so I think G is a much more critical need than C at this point. DE.......While Schoebel may return to form I think its safe to say that both Kelsay and Denney forms are awful. LB........SLB in my opinion is a huge need for us. With two picks in the first round and a draft deep at TE, LB, DE and C if we could somehow luck out and trade down with Detroit for their second first rounder and that top of the second round pick we could very well fill three of the four with immediate starters who could actually be productive for this team. That said we have a number of other positions on this team that not are not exactly of critical need to upgrade but we aren't exactly set at the position either. In my opinion those positions are: DT.......Williams is doing the best he can with very little, McCargo does very little, and Johnson isn't an every down DT. C or G..We're likely to be starting a player who should be providing depth at one of these positions. DE........I'm not saying Schoebel won't return to form I'm just saying it's not as likely as it is that he won't. SS.......With Donte moving to FS it might be a good idea to use an early pick but likely a mid-round pick on SS. You've probably noticed that I didn't list OT as a critical need for this team and wonder why. Its only because I believe Walker can't be any worse than Peters was this past season and that the coaching staff seems to feel it might have another OT lighting in the bottle player with Bell. If we are so lucky to trade down and get Detroit's 20th and their 33rd (1st pick of the second round) we could walk away with the no. 1 TE on the board in Brandon Pettigrew and the no. 1 C/G on the board in Alex Mack or Max Unger we could still end up with a starter at LB or DT with a second round pick. In short if we stand pat we could easily end up with two starters out of this draft with OT being one of them but with so many holes we might be better served with increasing the odds that we could end up with three or possibly four starters. I'd love a draft that began with: 20th - TE Brandon Pettigrew (OSU) 28th - RT Eben Britton (AZ) 33rd - C/G Alex Mack/Max Unger (Cal/OR) 42nd - OLB Marcus Freeman (OSU) 85th - Rick Jean-Francois (LSU)
  9. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that there is someone the Detroit wants enough at our pick that they'd send the 1st round pick got from Dallas (20th overall) and their second (1st overall in the 2nd round) to us. With just a small amount of luck we could end up with a starter at all three of the positions of need that we have (OG/C, TE, LB, DE, and DT) just by taking the best player available at our pick at those positions.
  10. From everything I've read it looks like LT Orlanda Pace was released almost entirely due to money but I'll concede he's been dinged up. If we can get him under contract without breaking the bank AND if he's got something left in the tank I'd take the Eagles 1st rounder (21st overall/0 straight up for Jason Peters if that's the most they are offering. That would give us the nos. 11, 21 and 42 overall picks in the first two rounds with an opportunity to walk away with DT Tyson Jackson. TE Brandon Pettigrew and if we're lucky maybe DE Michael Johnson or Robert Ayers. Obviously all of this is contingent on Pace being healthy and signing him and Philly doing the deal but considering how deep this draft is at DT, TE and DE -- three areas of critical need for the Bills - if we have a chance to get two first round picks without giving up our second it seems like a no brainer to me.
