I still have not found a Patriot fan that could name 5 players from before the Tom Brady era...I've asked 4 of the people who talked trash to me to name 5 players from before Tom Brady became QB...
One got 3, one got 2 and the others got 1 each...i then proceeded to rattle off about 15 players for them off the top of my head...
Confirms what we already knew...Patriot fans are the ultimate front runners and bandwagon fans...
All they could say to me after i did that was some version of "Yeah well your team still sucks!".
I told them I was revoking their fan card but not to worry because they could just pick another good team to root for and get an early head start for when the Patriots start sucking again once Brady and Bellichick retire.
I just got back from Boston. Also went to Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard. Wore my Bills hat the whole time, Even went to Gillette stadium. I was looking to get into it with *pats fans. Gotta say, they were very nice. Not what I was expecting at all.

Perhaps Allen would've gone 1st if the Bills didn't leak his twitter comments
It was either them or his agent ?

does anyone think that there are NFL d linemen who don't use steroids and other PEDs?
Or O lineman. Have you seen Wood lately? Awfully skinny.

I don't think Rudolph lasts until 21.
I don't either. His stock went up after his performance against VT in the bowl game.

This is what I have been saying that the cost to trade Dareus was much more than just shedding Dareus for a 6th round pick. There is a HIGH probability we will invest a first or 2nd round pick on a DT to TRY and replace Dareus. That was my issue with the trade. Had we kept Dareus until at least the offseason, we could have seen if McD and MD could work it out and if not, hopefully get more back for him in the offseason after finishing the season off now that he was healthy.
Had we NOT given him away at his lowest value, we many not have to use a high pick to replace him and instead could invest in the OL, LB, or replacing Kyle. Or at least traded him after being productive and gotten a higher pick like a 3rd or 2nd to help offset some of the cost trying to replace him.
Oh well...outside of that, I totally agree if the draft fell this way (which it won't) we would hands down take Baker unless we made a big QB move in FA. And if we did go after a QB in FA, then I would love both these picks...but truthfully no way Smith is on the board at 15 IMO and Vita may not be there either at 21. I could actually see us taking Vita at 15 if Smith wasn't there.
I don't get why everyone thinks we will draft Mayfield. Mcdermott is always preaching about character and building a certain culture in the locker room. Mayfield does not fit the profile of the type of player he's looking for and if we did draft him I would see it as a panic move much like they did with EJ Manuel. I know they are high on Allen. If he's not there or decides not to come out look for Mike White out of E.Kentuckey.

Gilmore got flagged for illegal hands to the face on the Panthers final drive. It wiped out a sack on Newton and gave them a first down.

Seth Maxwell (Mac Davis) in North Dallas Forty
The man did make one hell of a Pink Poontang Special.

Whatever happened too that dildo?
-
should he be fired?
Because he cut Williams? If this is all part of his plan then you have to see how it all plays out. Give him time before you ask that question.

Because this team isn't a QB away from being a playoff threat on an annual basis. Put Tom Brady or Aaron Rogers on this team, does that make us a perennial threat to go deep in the playoffs? No. We need more. We need 6 top 50 prospects, then 3 or 4 more the following year. With the right team, we already have our QB. Guys like Joe Flacco win championships because they have the right team.
Are you serious???
-
Darnold , Allen , Rosen and Jackson no doubt realize how desperate teams are for a QB. If each of them plays well this year they will be projected first rounders. I'd be willing to bet they all declare eligible for the draft.

I dunno I thouvht he looked solid today!
Really? I was at the practice and I didn't think he looked too good.

I just got back from vacation. There was a large group of Steelers fans at the resort I stayed at. I asked them about this kid and they said he's for real. They were hoping the Steelers would draft him to take over for Big Ben when he retires. Don't know much about him but check out his throwing motion on deep balls. Looks like Brees. Didn't the scouts say he lacked the arm strength to be a starter in the NFL too?

"Did you get me my cheez whiz boy?"

I like Zay Jones in the 2nd or Malachi Dupre in the 3rd. If I'm stuck with WR at 10 I think it's Williams.
Zay Jones makes a lot of sense considering his college receiver coach is on our staff. I hope we go defense with our first pick and grab him in the 2nd.

They would never change the name to Batavia Bills
Obviously since there was never a cowboy/entertainer named Batavia Bill.

I would be after Hoyer Tyrod or no Tyrod. He either gives you a bridge option to start (though is admittedly a slight downgrade.... just not as big of a downgrade as I think the Tyrod lovers believe) or he is a solid vet backup.
If the Bears move on from Cutler however I think they will re-sign Hoyer before he hits the market.
Whaleys plan is to get Cutler. His 2 biggest criticisms are trading up for Watkins and over paying for Clay. He feels the moves would be justified if he had a QB who could get them the ball. Not guaranteeing that he gets Cutler but I know thats the plan.
-
how long ago was that?
Granted it was 5 years ago but he's still coaching. It's pretty obvious the players want to go back to a 4-3. You're not getting Phillips or Schwartz unless it"s as a HC. Fewell has the experience, got himself a ring and did so by shutting down the Pats when they were putting up record numbers on offense.
-
why? I disagree
Experienced with the 4-3. Held the Pats to 17 points in the Superbowl.
-
I wouldn't mind seeing Wade back as head coach. But if we do end up going with Lynn I think Perry Fewell would be a good choice for "D" coordinator.
-
I will tell you one thing, there is no way we are getting Kyle Shanahan or a high profile college coach with Whaley and Brandon hanging over them. We will probably end up with Lynn because he will be the most qualified coach willing to sign here.
I agree Buffalo will be a tough sell for any high profile candidate because of our front office. I felt for Lynn today. Does anyone actually believe Lynn wouldn't want his best option at QB on the field for his first game as head coach? Coaches aren't concerned with the business aspect of the game they are only interested in winning. This is Lynns big chance to not only show our organization he is ready, but the other teams in the league looking for a head coach as well should he not get hired here.

Does anyone remember his questionable play calling in OT yesterday? No F Ing way. 600 yards or not poor decision maker when it counts.
It should have never gone to OT. 31 points should win you the game in regulation.
