  1. The difference in those two deals, we didn't know how terrible they were when we signed them (there was actually hope), we already know that Campbell is pathetic and they still make the deal? Wow, so obvious.

I guess i wouldn't give up a 1st on hope after one start. Also, doubt we would have to give up anything for Campbell. If he's as bad as you say, he'll be released and we get him for free. More hope in Campbell continuing to progress and possibly becoming a good QB than any other vets out there.

  2. You have lost your mind. Have you seen Campbell play at all over the last 4 years? I live in VA and the Skins are on TV EVERY week. I have watched them play countless times, even though I didn't really want to. He is erratic at best. He does have a strong arm, but is very inaccurate on deep passes. I have seen him consistently overthrow wide open WR's. Santana Moss has great speed and Randle El is pretty fast as well, but he couldn't hit them on the fly. The line in Washington this year is horrible, but it hasn't always been that way. He still hasn't ever been able to get it done. He was benched in favor of Todd Collins two years ago when they actually made a playoff run. He has done nothing and is no better than a journeyman backup in this league. Sadly, he's likely better than anyone we have though. We need a QB who is consistently accurate on every level of throws from the short, to the intermediate, and the deep. We need a leader who can get it done on the field and rally the troops. Campbell is not that guy.

I'm sure you're right on a lot of what you're saying. I did find this interesting: completion pct over last 4 yrs 53.1, 60.0, 62.3, 64.6 and rating 76.5, 77.6, 84.3, 87.0. I know there is more to being a good QB than stats but this is a good sign. I think we need to bring in a vet and just don't see anyone any better.

  3. If it is at all possible he is playing behind a worse line than ours.He is a tough verteran QB that fights to stay in games no matter how bad he gets beat up.I have seen him at times control football games when given the chance. The style of offense that the Skins have played under Zorn has not fit what JC is all about. He is a pocket passer with enough mobility to move the chains. The fumbles are a concern but how much of that is to blame on the line he plays behind. The man has a strong arm and is very hard to knock out of games.

Making this move would allow us to adderss the line like we should in the draft .And it also gives this team a veteran QB it has needed. He can win ball games and has the arm to play in Buffalo.Under the right head coach and OC this guy could turn the corner and be the answer at a position Buffalo has not had since Flutie.

I agree with you somewhat. I also would like to see us bring him in and draft a qb in rounds 3 or 4. Let Brohm, Cambell and rook fight it out. I loved Brohm in college, don't see any other vets that excite me and not real impressed with the top few QB's in the draft.

  4. My point is that this team completely healthy would look very similiar to the team we saw tonight. Blaming the loss or the Bills failure the season on the sheer number of 14 injuries I believe is off base.

Then bring that up to the person that mention it! Don't agree with your assessment though. Just having our starting LB's would go a long way at stopping the run and i think our trio is average. But Draft and Scott? A healthy OL working together all year. You don't think that would help?

  5. Here is what cracks me up. Is that some of our Fans keep arguing about the fact that we have a talented team if not for the injuries. Same fans then complain about the front office? You must be in agreement with the Front Office that they have done their jobs. Amazing its been only 10 years since we made the playoffs with this Superbowl talented roster of ours.. Amazing!

Did i say the front office has done their jobs? Pointing out a couple of other quality players you missed! If you're asking, i do think we have some young talent. Unfortunately not at the QB position and coach. As far as the front office goes, not totally impressed.

  6. I'd rather you join me (at ground level) and stop bottom feeding with the moron.

Here's another article about a guy who recently had a similar injury:

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4682873

Of course, you can ignore it, like you did with the story about Leon Washington, and continue to talk about the moron....or the one poster's medical qualifications....or c--k sucking....or "pwned" vs "owned"....or "mute" vs "moot"......or Dr. Andrews.....or whether or not DJ's soft practices contributed to EW's injury. Or maybe you can talk about how "Lost" is going to end.

Thanks for the info, i remember when that happened. Lets hope Wood comes back hungrier and stronger than ever.

  7. and there was a discussion if Aaron Rodgers was going #1... where did he land #26th or somewhere?

    It happens all the time.

In the end he was picked #56. For a "possible" #1 pick that blows like there is no tomorrow.

You're right! i guess i should've answered your question this way: HIS JUNIOR YEAR, HAD HE COME OUT, HE WOULD'VE BEEN CLOSE TO THE #1 OVERALL!! That world. Is that better?

  8. Another Norman Einstein...

He was picked #56. He wasn't even close to being picked #1. "Buzz" and $5 might get you a cup of coffee at StarBucks.

Think he meant, after his junior year he was the #1 qb prospect and possible #1 overall. FYI, after 2007 draft, Kiper had Brohm #1, Ryan #2, Flynn #11 and Flacco #19.

  9. Yeah, that's one explanation. Another is that he just didn't adapt to the pro game. A 7th round nobody thaken in the same draft making the team over him speaks volumes.

How long do you think it takes to adapt to the pro game, year and half? Maybe Flynn is the next Brady! Who knows, i sure don't. IMHO, i really liked Brohm coming out of Louisville and feel like a year and half without game day experience isn't nearly enough time to evaluate him. Could be wrong but, I like the move!

  10. haha, well at least we're high on ourselves, aren't we? Mind if I 'repsond'? Your opinion boils down to "well, we've got nothing to lose and our current QB situation sucks....so why not?" I actually agree with that, if you bothered to look at the actual Brian Brohm threads (hence there not being a need for another one). And here's another novel idea: why don't you look at what he's done in the NFL before going overboard with his college performance (since, as we know, so many college players fail in the NFL): he's sucked in the preseason against 2nd and 3rd stringers, he's been unable to not only see the field, but make the 53-man roster, he got beat out by a 7th round nobody from the football juggernaut Louisiana State, and his own scouted downfalls are the same as our current 'franchise' quarterback. So before you start accusing others of having a 'lack of intellect' for simply calling it like it is, maybe, just maybe, you should realize that the opinion might be one that is thought out.

By the way, if you don't like when people call out others for creating unnecessary threads, there are at least a dozen people on this board you are going to have an issue with. Probably more. Deal with it.

You ever watch Brohm play, college or preseason? In fact, he was expected to be a very high draft pick. And here's another novel idea: when he sucked those preseason games, who do you think was blocking for him, playing RB, receiver etc? That's right, guys that are probably not in the league. Thought out?

  11. The strong and free safety positions seem much improved. Maybe guys aren't making the big hits without Whitner but they get turnovers and are often in position. I say Whitner returns in the Nickel package but I'm sure Dick will do the wrong thing and return him to starter...just like he wrongfully returned Lynch to starter.

yeah, and freddy looks real good the past few games! maybe we need to stick to one running back and use the other as a change of pace back instead of this changing everyother series crap! also try to establish the run early and often. i'd start lynch.

  12. I think the O-line did fair. i believe it takes time for guys to jell, just hope we can stay with the same 5 guys the rest of the way! IMO, i don't think it's a good idea to switch backs every other series. I believe RB's like to get into a groove and thought we ran the ball well the first series with Marshawn. I'd pound the ball with Lynch and change it up with Freddy. Nice to see the huddle again!
