  1. I'm not enamored with Marrone. He has a lot to prove as an NFL HC. I'm hoping this team will play with passion for him and the rest of the coaches. He'll be fine if he can get the most out of the talent on hand. If not, he'll be gone, but I'll let 2015 take care of itself. In the mean time, I'm going to enjoy this season as much as the Bills allow me to.

Actually Marrone is not all of the problem. Not a fan of Hatchet being OC.

But we shall talk after the game this Sunday about that, and I'm sure we will have lots to discuss on that subject.

  2. I think someone put some Koolaid in your Koolaid. Even the regular Koolaid drinkers will want to get their hands on some of your Koolaid because it must be strong stuff

It has to be strong....justsaying. BillsMafia for life, I cant help it. :)

  3. Finished pre season with a 108 QB rating. I thought I read here all rookie QB's where "raw" and "need years to develop." The reason this is important is because the Bills could have had him and kept next years first.

I thought Bortles looked really good this preseason as well.

But the Raiders really had no choice because Matt "Pick 6" Schaub just done lost his damn game.

  4. Buffalo Rumblings@BuffRumblings 7m

C.J. Spiller is listed by the #Bills as the top kickoff returner. Uh.... http://www.buffaloru...turner …

I'm all for it. But who says the Bills be returning more than one KR per game? All shutouts, baby.

    Yes Yes and more Yes.

One pro is just how many kickoffs is he gonna bring out anyway? maybe between 10-15 the whole year.

2nd.... they have depth to do it.

3rd... HE needs the ball in his hands as much as possible in open space and watch out if he gets some daylight.

  5. Let's move off the topic of EJ and the front office. Can our D contain Forte and those 2 huge WRs, Marshall and Jeffrey?

Depends if McKelvin is 100 percent. If so I think we have a shot. But the WR's cant catch if Culter is on his butt after taking some hits.

I think our D is up to the task. If they can force some turnovers we can win the game . If they don't keep pressure of Culter for most of the day Jay is gonna cut them up.

Forte is a damn good RB. This is gonna be a good test. It's strength vs Strength is this matchup.

Also if the Bills can control the clock with the running game this will limit the Bears on offence.

  6. Looks like he might not make it. He has looked pretty good in the PS, but the Rams DE depth is too much. We need some depth pass rushers behind Mario and Hughes.

    Ian Rapoport@RapSheet 10s

Interesting RT @MikeSilver: I do not expect Michael Sam to end up on the Rams' 53-man roster. But could absolutely end up on some team's 53

IMO - this team could actually use a distraction.

you mean the Koolaid the Bills are serving this year isn't tasty enough for ya..lol

But seriously, Sam was a LB in college playing DE in the preseason. guy has to much to learn as it is.

Orton is distraction enough for now.

  7. If Whaley didn't agree with the pick or at least have confidence EJ was the guy he would have done something about it this off season. Like draft one, sign one.

Not buying it was Nix's pick alone. No way. Whaley had to agree.

If EJ was Buddy's pick I think Whaley would have looked to get his own QB.

I used to think that EJ was a last gift from Buddy when it happened but this off-season proved that not only was EJ Whaley's choice I think he was also Brandon's choice as well.

You don't go all in on your QB (trading 2015's 1st rounder for Watkins) if he wasn't your guy.

  8. really looking forward when he's asked about it at today's press conference:

wawrow: coach, it looked like you and doug whaley and russ brandon had a heated conversation on the sidelines this afternoon.

    marrone: excuse me?

wawrow: the media could hear you and doug whaley and russ --

marrone: -- oh yeah, we had a great conversation.

    (marrone looks away)

chris brown: coach marrone, the upgrade in the back-up quarterback position today indicates that this is a team that is relentless in its pursuit of excellence. as a coach, it must be invigorating to be captaining a ship that may know no bounds, a team that some consider to be on the cusp of greatness.

    marrone: yeah, thanks.

tim graham: doug, back to the confrontation on the sidelines --

marrone: -- look, obviously what we do and say in the privacy of a public setting is private.

tim graham: it sounded like voices were raised, particularly when you directed something at doug and russ.

marrone: no, it wasn't directed at them.

tim graham: well, it appeared that you looked right at them when you said it.

marrone: no, it was directed at the team in general.

wawrow: but the team was located 20 yards behind you.

marrone: then it was directed at the world in general. look, obviously, it's the same thing i told the jerry hughes last week. russ and doug are like the jerry hughes of team president-ing and general managing. i wish everyone on the team could president and general manage like them. they're just really special people and true professionals. jerry hughes is a great player with a great attitude -- that much should be clear.

chris brown: coach marrone, a lot of people are saying that this team is going through the inevitable growing pains associated with becoming a legendary squad, maybe even even approaching the greatness of lombardi's packers. couldn't the argument be made not making the playoffs this year could actually be a good -- and maybe even preferable -- outcome?

    marrone: thanks, guys.

(marrone exits. locks himself in office. turns off all lights. weeps.)

(chris brown takes shower, scrubbing himself endlessy, after which he feels no cleaner.)

(tim graham settles in for a long night of trolling on twitter.)

(wawrow gets in car, selects "pleased to meet me" from his iphone, cranks it up, slips on sunglasses, drives into sunset.)

    the end.

Too funn.....y my stomach hurts from lol

So....... you saying that Chris Brown is a company guy??

  9. I still lay that one on the coaching staff. They were running at will and for some reason decided to have their 3d string QB throw over the middle into a crowded end-zone. Worst goal line call since Jauron did the same thing with a rookie QB against Dallas on MNF when a FG would have forced Dallas to score two TDs to win.

    Exactly

Coaching staff should have known a field goal keeps the "mo" on our side. My TV almost was hit on that play call. I was screaming just "run the damn ball" before the play.

But then again we talking about the Bills here...

  10. So it was a good plan, but Thad screwed it up by sucking? Let's face it; for two seasons in a row, OBD has been massively negligent in its approach to the QB position and this team will pay for it again.

Yea your right on this but really tho who thought Thad would suck this bad they had to cut him, if anything I thought he would at least stay the same.

  11. The only way this works IMO is if they not only gamble that EJ doesn't get hurt the first month and win that bet, but also pick up a vet via trade or some surprise waiver like Ponder who can be brought in to be the number 2. Going into the season with Tuel as the, backup is criminally negligent.

Man that's like beating on the strip in Vegas. You likely too lose.

But that's what we have to hope AND pray for, that EJ stays healthy for at least the first 4 weeks.

  12. I agree but unfortunately, I don’t see any way around it. I just don’t see someone coming in and learning the offense in less than 2 weeks.

Looks like Thad Fitzpatricked us. He played just good enough over a short period of time to make us think he was the real deal.

    Yep Tuel is the backup

Lets hope EJ runs out of bounds and slides like feet first EVERY time he runs.

Thad wont be the last QB to Fitzs us, at least this time the Bills got rid of the mistake instead of signing him to a bigger contract.

That is progess in itself :wallbash:
