  1. I partially agree with Ralph about not enough talent on the team. Aside from Marshawn Lynch and maybe a few others, there isn't a standout player to be had. There aren't too many players on the team that make the opposing team shake in their boots. However, I think a good coaching staff can help make a difference. Good coaches can get through to the players, help them be better, help them identify what they're doing wrong and how to overcome their mistakes. After seeing the same garbage every week now for the past 6 weeks, it's obvious that the same mistakes are made and that has to fall partially on the coaching. Sure, the players are the ones on the field executing and if they aren't doing what they're being told to do, then they need a coach to get through to them and let them know it's not acceptable. It's depressing when the Bills come out on the field and play terrible football for the first half of the game, because it's almost certain they'll continue where they left off after halftime and will play yet another half of terrible football. There are no adjustments made, no changes, no nothing.
  2. Maybe it is too early to judge Edwards, but he's not showing any signs of improvement. I really thought after playing horribly against Miami or even the Jets he would get his act together and improve. Instead he's still stuck in a rut. If we haven't been subjected to this repeatedly for the past 10 years or so, I would feel the same as you - let the kid figure things out and get experience, but personally I don't think he's the answer and I'm tired of being so patient. I'm tired of waiting for the team to be rebuilt when I see a lot of other teams rebuild in half the time. I'm tired of saying "maybe next year" every year during this point in the season. The playoff drought continues...
  3. I watched part of the Giants/Eagles game last night and was amazed at how great Eli Manning looked. I remember not too long ago when Eli was getting dumped on by Giants fans and by the sports media because he was playing horrible. His first couple seasons weren't the best, but he pulled out of it. I'm hoping Edwards will do the same. I always thought Losman was the better quarterback until he played a couple weeks ago when Trent was knocked out. Then I remembered the sacks, the holding on to the ball too long, etc. Maybe neither QB is the one - maybe it's Hamdan - but I don't think it's time to pull the plug on Edwards yet. The true test is to see whether he keeps making the same mistakes. Let's hope not!
  4. I wish I were as optimistic. At this point, after watching 3 horrible, pathetic games in a row I'm not convinced the Bills can beat anyone. They have looked absolutely horrible and unless there is a big shake-up on the team somehow, I don't see them getting much better until next year. I know they have some injuries, but I feel they should be playing better despite them. Yesterday's game was a tough one and I didn't expect them to win, but losing to the Jets at home and to the Dolphins, it's inexcuseable.
