  1. If we were able to procure Tony Gonzalez at that time

or if we had a low-risk confident QB for all 14 games

or if Lindell didnt have a funk

or if Peters doesnt hold out and doesnt fail to make a few key blocks...

would the Bills have 9 or 10 wins?

or would this team just find a way to be in the same spot? Its an overasked question, but is it coaching, is it personnel, or is it the overall attitude/direction of the franchise. I think I know my answer. It seems most of these past 9 seasons 'come down to a handful of plays' that dont go in our favor.

  2. 2 of these, the Bills lost by 10+ points...so to me to say Edwards getting KOed cost us against Arizona...after the defense did a MIA performance that day?

I think the remainder of the game is in question if that Edwards injury doesnt happen. Their first few offensive plays were successful. If I remember correctly, didnt they have to punt after JP came in and AZ scored almost immediately again? If Buffalo drives down and scores, it could have been a different game.

Plus its an important play because it is arguable that Edwards had some cobwebs and/or fear for the rest of the season. The Chargers game was an aberration, but every game since, it is nowhere near the same QB as the first 4 games. I just couldnt leave it off.

  3. 1. Edwards' concussion early against Arizona

2a. Ginn's 60+ Yard pass reception (off McGee) Immediately after Buffalo 'took control' at Miami.

2b. Edwards fumbling @ Miami on an already successful sneak (whistle should have gone)

    3. Elam's pick 6 for the Jets

    4. Lindell's missed FG against Cleveland Monday night

    5. Losman's SEVERELY underthrown fade pass on first down and goal

    6. Losman not being able to hold onto the ball with 2:00 left on the play action against the Jets.

Considering the doom and gloom... these 6 plays could have been the difference of us being in the state we are in now... Or scrambling for playoff tickets.

with the exception of #1, most are a combination of coaching creating an optimal situation for failure, along with a severe failure on the Bills' part of executing.

  4. almost every decent playoff caliber team in this league has a 1A receiver. The Bills need that. It would make Trent better and it would make a Schouman/Fine TE combo better. They need to procure one of the top FA WR's this year.

In addition, a C is needed who can contribute within the next two years, and have upside for beyond that time. I really like the dude from Alabama.

We need a good pass rushing DE, either top flite from the draft, or if not, FA.

I believe if its the right personnel, this team can make Jauron look very good.

  5. People in Philly (where I work) B word and moan when the Eagles lose and want to run him out of town. Judging by the language of the team and things like the benching, I think that could be a likely thing.

I always say that We'd happily take him off the Fecal's hands and they dont know what they would be doing. If they got rid of McNabb and Reid, they would be in the dark ages for a long time unless they got very, very lucky.

  6. they need someone at the top. They had the right idea with Donahoe, but that ended in disaster.

They need a football/business guy on top, who can evaluate talent. Not a marketing man (Brandon) who is about 10 years from being removed from being a Florida Marlins intern. Also complimented by a truly moronic John Guy and Modrak.

Then the thing could be built from the top down and we would have a good organization.

I dont think Wilson is going to relinquish control and the dollars for this to happen.

  7. Im not sure he wishes death on Wilson in the letter. I had to reread it because its not clear. He mentions the possibility of things changing once RW dies/selling of the team or whatever. Than he says that 'he should just get on with it...'. But he isnt talking about death, I think he means he wants RW to get on with selling the team, moving the team, whatever the future holds before he passes away.

  8. I dont hate Canadians or blame them.... (just a select few WEALTHY ones).

This game was a failure and fell way short of what they were thinking would happen. They expected (and i thought it would happen too)... the tickets, no matter the price, to sell out immediately, tons of hype, people in Toronto would thirst for a franchise, the game hits, a sea of Canadians making tons of noise and waving towels during a great game proving that the Bills or some expansion team should come to Toronto.

    The opposite of that happened.

The Canadians are more than welcome at Bills games or anywhere else as far as I am concerned. Makes the gameday better.

  9. it IS more than the game. I drive from Philly for the games. I take Monday off of work. I get up at 7 and go tailgate with about 15 of my closest friends. At this stage of my life, those Sundays are the ones I really look forward to. It is much, much better when they win though
