  1. Who's saying anyone is unhappy with anything. I am very happy with our team in alot of ways. I'm pretty sure a message board is the place to blah blah out thoughts of what might help this team become stronger. Our top 5 defense hasn't been earned against offensive juggernaughts. That being said I am optimistic that we are learning to be a contender and thats all the more reason I'm starting to look at things closer. I think the rose colored glasses around here are helping people miss the fact that we could easily be 1 and 2 right now. I'm glad were not I hope we go 18 and zero but I am objective enough to realize this is a young team that is learning to be a winning team. The defensive ends Schobel is being compared to have almost twice the forced fumbles in the same span as Schoebel Freeny in a year less and a year lost to injury thats what I mean by game changing. I guess I believe you have to have a defensive line that makes game changing plays to win a super Bowl. I think Stroud lays that foundation now if we can just find the demon on the end.
  2. I thought he was 5'9 must have had him confused with someone else. I feel even better about him now as I feel the trend seems to be favoring taller corners lately.
  3. Your right I am caught on the 50M number. I like Schoebel I really do but I think his sack totals are a little misleading. Like someone else said where are the dominant games? His sacks are often coverage and garbage sacks I don't remember alot of game changing plays from him which is exactly what I want from a 50M number one defensive end. I think he would make a great situational DE and mentor for a younger player and would love to keep him on the team but not at that number when we really need a tight end, center, linebacker and a game changing defensive end. On top of those needs we have contracts that need to be worked out. Schobel himself said he never wants to be over or under paid and when I see what no name talent has done to him in one on one blocking this year, three games in a row I am concerned.
  4. Love the kid he plays with much heart and attitude. If he were 2 inches taller I would say were seeing the develpoment of one of the legaues next top corners. Even without the inches I would say he's going to be a really good one. I really like our corners. Possibly the deepest in the league
  5. I have a great feeling about Trent and him leading our team into the present and future. He does indeed have that "IT" factor. I'm not really sure what to say other than when the games on the line Trent will not lose the game and if we are down and theres a way to win Trent will find it.
  6. Good point on Reed and that does seem to be true he does seem more likely to lapse in attention when he is wide open. He's a good reciever and has huge heart.
  7. Priceless. I'm not bashing Aaron I think hes a good player being overpaid and seems like a stand up guy who might be willing to restructure for the greater good of the team.
  8. Nice resort to challenging someones mental capability thats constructive and really adds value to this thread. Yet I don't see you providing any real evidence as to why my question is so ludicrous. Far better players have restructured contracts to help a team on the cusp of greatness. I guess since you have so many more posts than I have it makes you my intellectual superior so sorry to waste your audible input with my mentally challenged rambling.
  9. Exactly on the rolls eyes, Again I don't know who would replace him thats what I'm trying to get a feel for do we think he would be willing to restructure or would it be that hard to find an adequete replacement. Perhaps I'm missing something here about his play and he is truly worthy of being mentioned along with BBBRRRUUUUUCCCEEEEE.
  10. I agree that I hoped Marshawn would have more yards but I think thats on the line and the fact that we don't open up the game more. I think a big part of the problem is Fowler he just doesnt seem to explode off the ball not that our line as a whole looks good run blocking. That and for all the talking I heard Barnes doing I don't see him blowing up the middle like I was hoping again this could be because of our interior line play. Josh had a great game no doubt but most of his clutch plays were with Oakland laying way off the recievers and he was catching perfectly delivered passes with noone on defense in position to make a play. So basically I guess I felt Reed was doing his job you better catch passes right to you with noone challenging its a recievers job. I am a bit nervous as to what will happen when a team brings the heat the raiders did at times for the whole game.
  11. Good points however you are correct Bruce did crash the middle more often and almost always drew two or three blockers. Schoebel is getting pushed far outside by single linemen I've never heard of. Its all on tape the first three games this year and many last year. I'm not sure who I would replace him with I guess I just don't think it would be that hard to find someone who plays almost or as well for less money. I've been a fan since 88 when I went to my first game and was lucky enough to be at Rich for all those awesome playoff games.
  12. I'm not sure if this has been posted but I havent seen it so here goes. I really think we need to consider restructuring Aarons contract or trading him. I like the guy as a person and he is a decent player but he's always been a one trick pony (speed) and even he has admitted he's slowing down. Honestly I've been more impressed with Kelsey. Maybe I'm tired of watching him take a bus around Lake Ontario trying to get to the qb but I was wondering what yall think?
  13. I really like Trent Edwards and am as excited about this team as I've been in a long time but Marshawn doesnt hit Beast mode on that 4th and 2 and it's game over. My vote goes to the one with the golden smile.
  14. I think it is far to early to annoint Edwards an elite player. I am very excited about him and I think he is on his way but there were times today where I thought he looked very indecisive and honestly held the ball far to long. I believe Marshawn is the heart and soul of this team he is a one man wrecking crew. The man seems to be able to will yards. The line looked horrible today and I'm quite upset with Peters I have a feeling his holdout is going to cost him alot more than he expected it might be early to draw this conclusion but I just have that feeling. The one thing I will say is this team is playing united and inspired football and I noticed something I havent felt about a Bills team in a long time I actually expected us to come back after the long pass which put us down 9 for the second time.
