  1. They ask stupid questions in the guise of asking hard questions. Why didn't the Bills fire Rex when there was a 1% chance of making the playoffs? Because there's a chance. Do you really want our team to quit? What would you write then? Maybe it's bad form, but I'd look that clown dead in the eye and ask if he was seriously asking me why I didn't quit on the season sooner because the going was rough.
  2. The PIT guy is 17th, and perfect on extra points, and ketchup field is supposed to be the worst. Yes, another kicker will miss a few, even the NE guys do, but Carpenter's performance overall needs improvement, either by him, or a replacement.
  3. I might be talked into Hauschka from that list. A fifth round draft pick should be just as good. The issue is this: Carpenter is tied for 28th in the league in FG% with 75%. Only 2 attempts were 50+ (he made one, a 54 yarder), and he's 4/9 on 40-49s. BTW, if it always feels like the Bills are losing to kickers in 50+ yd FGs, it's because those are becoming routine in the league. League % on 50+ is 65% this year - chances are 2 out of 3 on 50+, and that's the AVERAGE. Carpenter is also 27th in the league in XP% with 39/44 or 89%. 5 kickers are perfect, and 25 of them are >90%. What other area of the team are we satisfied with 28th in the league? We're calling for Rex's head, because that's probably where the run defense ranks. We're calling for TT's head, because the passing offense is similar. But Carpenter is OK? https://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/kicking/sort/fieldGoalPct
  4. I know you were just responding to the post, but 3 of those guys practically pre-dated the forward pass. You almost didn't need a great QB when a winning formula was "3 yds and a cloud of dust".
  5. That wasn't his point. His point was that players don't recover well enough to play at 100% in 4 days. He thought only teams coming off a bye should play on Thursday - I think he's right.
  6. Unfortunately, I watched all of the one where they ran all over the Bills defense, at will.
  7. I love him right now tho
  8. Goodwin's first TD catch less than 40 yards....
  9. With the first pick in the 2017 draft, the Buffalo Bills select Brad Kaaya, Miami....
  10. Not only that, but the Chipotle. He already doesn't look as tight as TT or EJ, he better knock that s*** off.
  11. Keep in mind the very best in the profession is .667 (Belichick). So the question is how far Fisher's .524 is from .667? Essentially 11-5 is what the very best coaches average (and with arguably the best qb of all time for 15 years), so that's the best anyone has proven in the modern NFL. QB killer? McNair was effective for years. Vince Young (Mr. I need to rent a whole plane so I can fly alone) killed himself. Belichick was 36-44 when he got to NE. Some of my friends would tell you that means he's a "f**king loser coach, not fit for waterboy at my high school", but look what happened after that. Marv was a "f**king loser coach" too when he got to Buffalo, his KC record was 31-42. Winning a championship with the JV Alouettes with 3 downs and a 55 yard line doesn't mean jack. Rex's last couple years in NY not good enough? Give Belichick Geno Smith for a QB for 2 years and let's see what his record is. I don't think it's really cronyism. Fisher has proven he can coach well in the NFL. The list of people walking the streets out there (who want to coach) who've proven likewise is very short. Where has changing coaches every 3 years gotten the Bills?
  12. Some of us still remember when they pulled out improbable wins. These aren't those Bills, but I still think like they are.
  13. Come on now D. No excuses, plenty of rest.
  14. Problem is we have like 10 minutes less for 2 TD's. Clearly possible, but....less room for overcoming any bad EJ drives...
  15. I'm a sucker. I'm optimistic for the second half, even though logically I don't have a good reason to be...
  16. I still don't think J'ville can score on offense much. 14 points is all they need....
  17. They only trust EJ on sideline throws it seems.
  18. F it. I say go on fourth anyway now.
  19. I say go on fourth down if not in scoring range...
  20. I make good throws now and then in the parking lot of the Ralph. I don't even belong anywhere near a Pop Warner field though....
  21. Not to mention the calls to WGR for the next few days...
  22. Un-drafted....and up-ended. lol
  23. i saw green btw his right foot and the out of bounds area.
