  1. Sure the Bengals invented it, but the Bills established it and refined it mostly because esiason didn't stay with the bengals for too long after that. and how has peyton manning taken it to the next level? I have a lot of respect for peyton but he has not taken the no-huddle to the next level (i'm not sure it even has a next level). sure teams can run different versions of it depending on the athleticism of the tightend and the skill positions but to completely take it to another level doesn't seem to be possible. its not like the colts have replaced the founding principles of the no-huddle (not allowing the defensive substitutions, calling out plays at the line based on defensive formations, tiring the defense and slowing the pass rush, ect.). you can build off of these principles but this is what defines the no-huddle. how could you not give the bills credit? infact any credit we would have recieved was not only not given but they took it to the next level by calling levy a cheater. did levy do it and was it sleezy? i guess but thats open for debate (even though this is the first time i have ever heard it), but to call him an out right cheater...? they don't even call Belichick a cheater and he did cheat!
  2. i just saw this on NFL network and at number 6 for the greatest innovation to the NFL was the BENGALS no-huddle offense with boomer esiason. they said the bengals invented it in the late 80's and marv levy (after informing the comissioner that it was illegal) then "stole" it. they had boomer on there saying that he resented marv for steeling it and going to the next four superbowls. they then showed some highlights about the bills for 2 seconds, mentioned chicken wings and then went on to say that peyton manning revolutionized the no-huddle. all in all they basically denied that the bills invented it, called marv levy a cheater, and then gave peyton manning credit for revolutionizing the offense (thats not to say he doesn't run it very well) but they could have at least given us this little tid-bit in NFL history, now all we have is OJ Simpson and not for his 2,000 yard season...WTF?
  3. it seems that this decade the bills just can't get a top notch offensive line on there team(however i am really excited for this year). I see team after team doing the same thing...developing the pocket...why? I have played football(yes it was only highschool) but being in the trenches gives you more knowledge than just tape. I played guard so i didn't have to worry about it too much, but when they switched me to tackle i couldn't keep up with the faster guys(and neither could the kid who played their before me). so instead of revamping everything my coach switched me back to guard and the kid who played left tackle blocked differently. Why is it that elite pass rushing defensive ends tend to not do well in the run game?...because the tackles fire out and meet them. on running plays you are allowed to go down field as much as you want so no problem. On passing plays however the tackles shuffle back at least 5-7 yards to form the pocket...? to me this seems stupid. on passing plays you can go five yards down field anyway(even on running plays most defensive lines are not pushed back 5 yards). this 5-7 yard gap between you and the DE gives him a lot of room to build up speed to either go around or inside you. my coach had us fire out and meet the DE before he could get his speed and pop him on his first step. also if you fire out and remain one solid line he can only go one way because next to you is another blocker on your inside. with this solid line of blockers in front of him the quarterback can see everything and won't need to worry about getting stripped from behind and the running back, if he needs to pick up a block say from the outside can get there easier). overall this allows for less athletic guys (walker) to at least play on par with some of the people in our division. its much less likely that they will get beat since the offensive line knows the snap count and should be able to move 8-10 inches over by taking a step. we can pretty much all agree that there are two types of DE, those with strength and those with speed. now reggie white was an extremely strong individual, but it was magnified by the fact that he got that burst and used his legs to drive people. most football players can lift the same weight so to say that one is significantly stronger than another so much as to dominate them purely on strength is absurd. If you face a speed rusher, you don't want him getting that burst to go around you either so for either kind it works. now i know that i am just a fan, but i am speaking from experience when i say that this blocking scheme is a hell of a lot easier than letting a 250 pound professional athlete slam into you. let me know what you think (and please if you disagree with me, give reasons why!)
  4. sorry for not replying but i was, how did you put it "flipping burgers"? the same argument that you use on me that "i don't know what he was doing in his cell" applies for you too, at this point it is just speculation. he could be the out of shape football retarded person i believe he is, or he can be the buff weightlifting quaterback god you think he is, the fact of the matter is that it is irrelevant because if football players got more buff in jail then training camp would be held at Levenworth prison. how many times did we attempt(and fail) at the wild cat? the wild cat is not something to base your offense around because there are only so many plays you can run out of it. it is meant for fast paced drives to keep the defense on its toes, much the same way the no-huddle does. and i never said outright that the bills were running the no-huddle i said it "SEEMS" that we are, once again this is just speculation. at this point i think our team, and for that matter the quarterback is too young and inexperienced to run the no-huddle all the time so, like the wild cat it will be used to shock defenses. Vick would do very well in the wild cat, much like pat white because he has the ability to throw, but that doesn't mean he is good at it. you see these players who look to run first...michael vick, vince young, jamarcus russell, daunte culpepper, aaron brooks, byron leftwich...are all bad players not because they are not athletic, but because they don't know how to manage a game. even john elway and steve young were bad when they looked to run first pass second but they learned how to slow the game down mentally and now they are both in the HOF. guys like michael vick are one-trick pony's, exciting yes, but very predictable. why do you think vince young went from rookie of the year to complete bust the second year? because teams figured out how to defend them...make them play quarterback, and don't rush him make your D-line play contain and form a pocket around him. once you do that the interceptions will start to come. i have nothing against players like vick and i think he should be given the chance to play again, but i personally wouldn't offer him a contract (not because of off field issues) because he really has very little to offer this team. now if this team is commited(and i mean like miami commited where he is in for at least 1/3 of the offensive snaps) to the wild cat, not just a play or 2 here or there but really commited, then take a shot at him. i just really think that is not the position this team wants to go. hmmm, what was your other argument...oh yeah there records how long has vick been in the league not to mention the number of offensive and head coaches he has gone through because they "just couldn't win". take a look at the eagles NFC championship game where the "untouchable" vick got sytematically gangbanged by an eagles defense that really didn't move more than 5 yards past line of scrimmage. they didn't chase him down, they waited him out and when he tried to run everywhere the eagles were disciplined and remained in there gaps. give Trent time, besides that is his wins as a starter so losses like the one against the cardinals (were he was injured on the first play) really had nothing to do with him. his numbers suck! http://thewiiremedia.revolutionreport.net/articles/927.jpg
  5. your joking right? because if your not you need to leave this site. first of all he has been out of the league for 2 years so whatever upside to his game has deteriorated. second, what is this obsession with the wildcat offense? let miami run it if they want because its an offense that doesn't work (they only use it like 6 plays in the entire game) and it SEEMS we are commited to the no-huddle this year (which Vick is too stupid to run). the guy couldn't manage a game at normal speeds and you want him to take control of a no-huddle offense? check the WL record...when edwards was in, most of the time we won. not to mention the NFL has figured out how to defend against guys like Vick and V Young thats why they suck...make them pass and don't rush them, play contain with your d-line. this site is for bills fans and its pretty clear you have no idea what you are talking about. you don't like edwards, fine i am not saying you have to, but to say michael vick who hasn't touched a ball in 2 years should be handed the starting job of any franchise let alone this one is absurd.
  6. is it difficult to apply the bills situation to your highschool textbook about Rousseau("...above the law and social contract"). Lynch does not need to stay in lock down in OP, he just needs to learn how to act like a controlled person. you act like the cops of this nation are gonna take a stand because doing there jobs and arresting lynch just isn't fun anymore. they really don't care because if they gave him special treatment(and i don't mean the easy stuff, i mean prosecuting him on full charges to make an example when any other guy would have been given an easier sentence) then that is occupational profiling. the commisioner can do that because all he deals with are football players but the cops deal with everyone. and there are so many sides to the whitner story i don't know what to believe. i have heard stories that make you think racism on the polices part and whitner should sue, and i have heard that whitner is the scourge of the football world. apparently he was trying to save his brother/friend from getting shot, but the police said he took a fighting stance(wtf?) so i guess we will see what happens in court.
  7. I have been to the huddle report...its good stuff and i like his take on this years draft class. he isn't afraid to go out on a limb because he has seen a lot of film to back up his predictions.

  14. again with the long drawn out examples that don't strengthen your argument and make you look like an idiot!
  15. funny how you didn't actually answer my question, do YOU even know what your trying to say? all you have to do is state your opinion not reference unrelated things because you think it gives some weight to your argument.
  16. What the hell are you talking about? nobody gives a crap about buttered toast or rocks. please leave!
  17. if that was an insult, i am gonna let that one go, i already filled my dead man quota today sooooooooo YA JUST GOT LUCKY! no seriously though...i don't mess with bills fans, only patriots fans.

  20. in all seriousness though, not trying to be rude, aren't most people in new jersey giants or jets fans or even eagles fans, why the bills, what did you grow up here or something?
  21. no, don't worry though I know the difference between threats and murder. i am crazy not stupid!
  22. I love how you completely bypassed the fact that the NFL is a lot faster and more competitive than your stupid NJ highschool team. I would love to see your kids get slaughtered against the bills, that would be the best. broken skulls everywhere hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!
